New Year, New Stash at Vintage Stamping Challenges

Good morning folks, the first Monday of the new year and its time for our new challenge over at Flonzcraft Vintage Stamping Challenges and this month our theme is 'New Year, New Stash', chosen by yours truly! Your project doesn't have to have a vintage theme but you do need to include stamping, no digis allowed! There's a fab prize of a $20 voucher from our generous sponsor Flonzcraft and you can get a lot of stamps for that so its well worth playing along.

For y card I've used a new stamp from Flonzcraft, isn't she adorable? She's called 'Fashion girls art modern' and you can find her here. I've coloured her with Graph'It markers and paper pieced her dress, stamping and embossing with WOW Vanilla White EP before cutting our and adding some shading wtih my Graph'Its. I die cut the image with Spellbinders and distressed with Spun Sugar distress ink.

The 'patchwork' effect background was made using some pretty free backing papers that came with a craft mag. I die cut them with my new sizzix hexagon dies (well I've had them ages and never used them lol) and mixed them up to create a random pattern. I added lace, ribbon, pearl bead trim and lots of paper flowers. The sentiment is from Chocolate Baroque, stamped with Memento ink.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Country View Crafts: something new to you
Die Cut Divas: anything goes
Frillie and Funky: anything goes
Natalie and Amy's: All things new
Sparkles Forum: anything goes

Its the first day of my week off work today, wooooo hooooo!! I bet you'd never guess where I'll be? Yep, I'll be in my craft room, much better than work :-)
Have a great day and thanks for popping by
Claire xx
