Full House at Fashionable Stamping Challenges!

Hi there, we've got a fab BINGO challenge for you this time at Fashionable Stamping Challenges, my teamie Sue has set the challenge and her bingo board is full of such gorgeous things I couldn't just settle for a line, I went for a full house lol. As always there is a fabby prize for our  winner from Marina, our generous sponsor at Cottage Crafts!

I've used a backing paper from 'Vintage Shabby' paper stack, distressed with a craft knife and a little tea dye distress ink and matted it on some blue tissue paper. I then added some texure using a Crafters Workshop template (mini mosaic) and Magi-tac paste dusted with silver mica powder. You can see the effect a bit better in this pic

The ribbon, lace, butterfly and glimmer misted doiley are all from my stash. The silver embellie over the bow is from a broken necklace. The flowers were made using more blue tissue paper, die cut with tattered florals and buttons in the centre. The metal frame for the sentiment is from my stash and I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of vellum. I also added lots of faux pearls with my viva pearl pen.

The focal image is a Kanban stamp, coloured with promarkers and coloursoft pencils and cut out. I stitched the lace up bodice with silver thread, it look me ages as the blinking thread kept getting in a HUGE knot for some reason.

I'm entering my card in the following challenges:
Fairy Fun Fridays: distress it
I love promarkers: ribbons and bows
Paper Shelter: anything goes
Passion for Promarkers: Mum or female relative
Sweet Stamps: Monochromatic
The Pink Elephant: Lets see those layers
Top Tip Tuesday: Stitches real or faux
Totally Gorjuss: anything goes with a button

thanks for visiting today
hugs

Playing with pencils

Hi there, hope you've had a good week well better than mine anyway lol. Still its nearly the weekend and I can escape the horrors of work for a couple of days. Apart from being busy at work, i've also been busy with my 'homework' from My Creative Classroom Colouring 101 course which is amazing! I've got loads of colouring pencils and now I've started using them a lot more. Here's a card made using one of my favourite stamps from Chocolate Baroque, Fuchsia stamp sheet.

I stamped the fuchsia stamp to create the background and for the main image, coloured  with coloursoft pencils and decoupaged the two flowers in the foreground. The main image is diecut with nesties labels 4.  I've used some hot pink card to mat and layer, edged with gold krylon pen. The ribbon is from Crafty ribbons and I stamped the sentiment in copper stazon (I always think this looks more like gold than the gold one lol) on shrink plastic, edged with pink ink and gold krylon and attached with jump rings. The sentiment is also from Chocolate Baroque, 'Words of Gratitude' sheet. Its one of my favourite stamps and it reads "Let us be grateful to the people who make us happy, they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom".

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Crafts and Me: Anything goes
Fab'n'Funky : Friendship
For Fun Challenge: anything goes
Ladybug Crafts Ink: favourite stamps
Kaboodle Doodles: In the garden
Sassie Studio Designs: Lets get sentimental
Sentimental Sunday: Its a garden party
Sugar Creek Hollow: make your own designer paper
The Paper Shelter: flowers, flowers, flowers

Thanks for popping by

Anything goes at Fashionable Stamping Challenges!

Woo hoo, its time for our first challenge at Fashionable Stamping Challenges and we've got a really easy challenge for you, yep its 'Anything goes' although you've got to get inky as we're a rubber/clear challenge so no digi stamps are allowed. Our lucky winners are in for a real treat as  the generous Marina from Cottage Crafts has kindly donated 2 prizes for our first challenge!!

I've used lots of my favourite stamps on this canvas (which was part of some yummy candy from my lovely Blogland friend Brenda). The canvas and the scalloped frame (a recycled lid from some chipboard shapes) were crackled with brown and cream emulsion paint and watered down pva glue. I then paint fusioned them with Sheena Douglass' paint fusion Daisy stamps (well actually they aren't Sheena's, they're mine lol). Ithen added some walnut stain distress ep around the edges. The little angel stamp is 'Bess' by Elaine Cox from Sweet Pea Stamps, she is coloured with promarkers apart from her hair which I coloured with coloursoft pencils. I always struggle to colour curly hair but I think I've got a better result with pencils than I do with markers.

The butterflies are some of my favourite stamps from the Patchwork Butterfly stamp sheet from Chocolate Baroque. I stamped them on acetate with versamark and embossed with walnut stain distress EP. I then glittered the back of the butterflies with pale blue, lemon and brown glitters and cosmic shimmer glue. I left them overnight to dry and cut them out before attaching them to the canvas. I stuck the bodies down with a smear of silicone glue and popped the wings up with large blobs of silicone to let the light shine through the glitter. You can see the detail a bit better on this pic:

I'm entering this canvas in the following challenges:
Anything goes: Pick of the bunch
Crafty Cardmakers: flutterbies
I love promarkers: Anything goes
Little Red Wagon: Heat Embossing
Paperplay: In the garden
The house that stamps built: glitter
Try it on tuesday: alter a present

Thanks for calling by, make sure you pop over to Fashionable Stamping Challenges, as well as our winner's prize we have a prize with a twist too! You won't want to miss my teamies projects either as they are stunning! We're also having a DT call so if you love rubber stamping then now's your chance to be 'fashionable' lol.
