Buttons, Bows and Lace at Scrapbook Stamp Society

Hi there, todays card features this beautiful image 'Cameo 1' by Morgan Fizsimons available at Scrapbook Stamp Society.  Its my project for the Buttons, Bows and Lace challenge over at the Scrapbook Stamp Society Challenge blog.

She's a real beauty isn't she? I've coloured her with promarkers and added a little glitter to her hat. The papers and pretty sentiment are from Prima Almanac collecction and the pink lace, black ribbon and little black buttons are from my stash.

For my card I've used this beautiful image called 'Rite of Spring' by Mitzi Sato-Wiuff, isn't it beautiful with all those gorgeous spring flowers? You can find her and loads more fab digistamps at Scrapbook Stamp Society

 I've coloured the image with promarkers and matted on some vintage pink coredinations card. The backing paper is Prima Madeline and to keep to the Butterfly kisses theme I've used a MS butterfly punch to create a border. I saved the little punched out butterflies and popped them on the image. To finish off I've added some ribbon and lace from my stash.

I've used this gorgeous image, Bunny Floral Border by Morgan Fitzsimons for my project, I thought it would be perfect to showcase all the lovely delicate shades of green in nature at this time of year. I coloured the image with promarkers and carefully cut out the inside of the frame and matted it up over a Paper artsty stamped sentiment. I inked around the outside with a pale green ink although for some reason it looks more of a bluey grey in the pic. I added some dew drops in the corners  and popped it on a green card blank.

Cameo from Scrapbook Stamp Society

Hi there, my card share today features one of the gorgeous digistamps from Scrapbook Stamp Society, this elegant lady is Cameo 7 by Morgan Fitzsimons. She's got such a lovely wistful expression on her face hasn't she?

I've used K&Co backing paper and ribbon and lace from my stash. The lady is coloured with promarkers and has a little glamour dust for some bling. I've matted the image and bps on white card distressed with a craft knife and tea dye distress ink. I've added lots of flowers and a spray of little pearls with faux pearls in the corners.

Garden Patch challenge at Scrapbook Stamp Society

Hi there folks, I'm running late with this post, I've just had one of those days so i'll keep it quick and go and put my feet up with a glass of falling down water lol. There's a brand new challenge at Scrapbook Stamp Society Challenge at the theme is 'Garden Patch'. I've used this gorgeous image called 'Elf Flower' by Mogan Fitzsimons for my project.

I'd been playing around making tissue paper flowers so i decided to make a little wall hanging for my DT project. I used a Decorplate from Caroline's and gave it a crackle background with emulsion paint and pva glue. I'd already coloured the image with promarkers and decoupaged it so that the gorgeous elf is peeping out from the floral frame. I attached it to the decorplate and added my flowers around the edge, unfortunately i ran out of glue so i'll have to have a trip to the shop in the morning. Eeek how on earth did I run out of glue?? I bet i'll find loads when  I've bought some lol.

The flowers were made using white tissue paper (I always save tissue paper from packaging) die cut with tattered florals die and then coloured with glimmer mists. I scrunched them while wet and left them to dry before layering them up with a dot of glue, more glue in the centres to add assorted colours of seed beads.

Lady in hat from Scrapbook Stamp Society

Hi there, todays card share features a gorgeous image from Scrapbook Stamp Society called '1920's Hat 2' by Morgan Fitzsimons. She's got a really wistful look on her face hasn't she?

I've coloured the image with promarkers and cut her out with nesties before inking around the edge with Tumbled glass distress ink. She's matted on a faux nestie. The papers are Prima Madeline as are the paper flowers which i've topped with roses from my stash. I've added brown and pink ribbons and some cream broderie anglais lace. The gorgeous little sparkly pins are from Crafty Boots and the faux pearls were made with a viva pearl pen

I thought this lovely lady would be perfect for the latest challenge over at Scrapbook Stamp Society challenge Blog where the theme is 'Movie Starlets', I'm also entering this card in the following challenges:

Once upon a time......

Good morning folks, a very quick post from me today as i've got to start work early (yuk, as if Monday mornings aren't bad enough lol). I just wanted to share this card for the Scrapbook Stamp Society challenge where the theme is 'Once upon a time'

 

I adore this gorgeous image from, of course Scrapbook Stamp Society 'Whimsical Oz Lil Ragamuffin Dorothy' by Sherri Baldy. My terrible photography skills don't show her off to her full advantage  though lol. I love pale blue and red so I've kept my card pretty simple with some stamped cross stitch borders and some red gingham ribbon. The image is coloured with promarkers and I've just added a few tiny buttons to embellish the card.

Queen of Hearts

Hi there, brrrrrrr its freezing here today with thick snow on the ground and freezing fog so I haven't ventured much further than my craft room. I'd lot loads of projects half finished so it was a great chance to get a few complete. This card features a gorgeous digi stamp from Scrapbook Stamp Society,  Her Majesty The Queen of Hearts by Heather Valentin. She really is a 'Her Majesty' with that expression on her face isn't she lol?

I've coloured the image with promarkers and matted on black card, adding some nestie embellies. The bps are made using rubber stamps from Chocolate Baroque with distress inks. Ribbon and gems from my stash. I'd started this one for last weeks Sketch Saturday challenge but didn't get in done in time, I do that all the time its soooooo annoying. I must start to be more organised lol

A taste of the orient

Hi there, I'm late with todays' card, I seem to have had one of those days, you know the ones where everything takes twice as long as usual, your drop everything you pick up lol. Anyway I wanted to share this card which features a gorgeous image from Scrapbook Stamp Society (you can find her here)

I've coloured the image with promarkers and used fineliner pens for her long flowing hair. I wanted to keep the card fairly simple so I made a bp using starburst stains (using shades of lilac, blue and green but the mica makes them look a bit odd lol). Once the card was dry I stamped assorted foliage stamps using black versafine ink. I've used black card to matt and layer and added some black organza ribbon to finish off. I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Exciting news!!

Hi there,I'm back with my first DT project for Scrapbook Stamps Society. I was over the moon when I was invited to join such an exciting team, the hardest part was choosing the images to work with lol. For my first project I've made a little shadow box using a stunning digistamp by Heather Valentin called 'Butterfly Fae Fantaseyes' (you can find it here). I love to colour eyes so I couldn't resist this image.

I've coloured the image with promarkers and popped it in to the back of a canvas that I'd covered with glimmer misted scrunched paper to create a frame. I inked around the edges with some black versafine ink and added lots of flowers. The large black roses are made from grungepaper painted with Ranger crackle paint and a sprinkle of black glitter. All the smaller flowers started out white and were coloured with glimmer mists. I've added some black punched leaves and some gorgeous glittery green leaves. 

The little heart charm isn't showing too well in the pic, I made it by colouring translucent shrink plastic with green pigment ink and stamping over with a heart stamp before shrinking to size. Its attached with a couple of jump rings. 

The new challenge over at  Scrapbook Stamp Society Challenge  is open and the theme is 'Hearts and Flowers, there are some fab prizes on offer and some gorgeous freebies too
