Anything creative goes at We Love to Create

Good morning folks, its inspiration week from the PanPastel girls over at We Love 2 Create. You've still got a week to enter our Anything Creative Goes challenge and our lucky winner will receive some gorgeous goodies from our generous sponsors Premium Craft Brands!

I've made a Christmassy wallhanging for my DT project. I began with some corrugated cardboard which I distressed and dry brushed with white gesso.  I made a little stampbord scene using my PanPastels and Stampscapes stamps. I masked the stampbord squares with fine masking tape and then set to adding colour with my Pans. I stamped in the scene and added a little extra colour with distress markers. Next I used my Stampbord Scraper tools to add highlights to my scene. One of the tools is perfect for creating little circles - great for  snow or polkadots! I added a little Black Pearl PanPastel Medium around the edges.

I popped the scene on my corrugated card with cosmic shimmer glue and added some pompom trim. Some Dutch Doobadoo laser cut snowflakes (Igave them some shimmer with my White Pearl PanPastel Medium. I also added a couple of Tattered angels glimmer chips that were coloured with PanPastels. To finish off I added some ribbon, again coloured with my Pans and added some charms and beads from my stash.

I'm entering this in the following challenges:
Fab'n'Funky: Christmas
Open Minded: Shabby Chic
Retro Rubber: anything goes with old stamps
(I've had my stampscapes stamps for years)
Stamps and Stencils: anything goes mixed media
Suzy Bee's Blooming Challenge: Anything goes no patterned paper

Thanks for popping by, hope to see you again soon

Winter Scene at Craft a Scene

Hi there my lovelies, I hope you're enjoying the Christmas break and that Santa has been good to you all. My project today is for our 'Winter Scene' Challenge over at Craft a Scene and we're all a wee bit sad as its our last challenge. Its been a joy to be part of such a wonderful talented team but all good things come to an end so its onward and upward as we move on to new crafty adventures!

I've made a little wall hanging using a base of corrugated card that I dry brushed with Maimeri White Gesso. The scene was stamped using lots of different stampscapes stamps on glossy cardstock and coloured with distress inks and a blending tool. I used Evergreen Bough, Iced Spruce and Tumbled Glass with a little gathered twigs too. Then I used a white pigment ink pad to stamp some grasses.

I used a quickie glue pen and some glamour dust to add some icy sparkle here and there although its not showing in the pic. To finish off I added snowflakes with a white Graph'It Shake pen and also dusted off some Glimmer Chips to embellish the corners.

I'mm entering this project in the following challenges:
Crafting for all seasons: anything Christmas but a card
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas: anything Christmas
Docerela Creations: anything goes
Inky Impressions: winter wonderland
My time to craft: Christmas trees
Sweet Stampin: anything goes
That's Crafty: Anything goes
Winter Wonderland: fussy and fancy

I'm planning on spending the evening colouring and eating chocolate, what could be better??

Include a 4 legged animal at Craft a Scene

Hi there, we've got a brand new challenge starting at Craft A Scene and this month our theme is to Include a Four Legged Animal, my teamies have created some stunning projects to inspire you so if you've got time pop over to the challenge blog and have a look. I don't use a lot of animal stamps on my cards so I had to have a good rummage in my stash and managed to find these cows and horse from StampScapes.

The background was made using a stencil from That Special Touch and distress inks in shades of blue and green. I added some definition with coloured pencils and then stamped in the animals. I used water to create the clouds and remove the green ink from the cow - a green and brown cow looks a bit weird lol. Finally I added a sentiment from Chocolate Baroque

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Allsorts: Favourite things
(my favourite thing is to create a scene using stamps)
Fab'n'Funky: anything goes
Inkspirational: use markers or pencils
Penny's Paper Crafty: anything goes
Sister Act: anything goes

Thanks so much for visiting today, hope you're going to join our new challenge

By the sea at Craft a Scene

Its the last Sunday in June so if you're very quick you still have time to enter our 'By the sea' challenge at Craft a Scene. This is my last project for this theme and this time I've used Stampscapes stamps and an assortment of dye inks.

I stamped all the elements in Memento Tuxedo black on glossy card and let the ink dry, I then added colour with a mixture of distress and memento inks. I added more definition with Graph'It markers and lastly used a White Graph'It shake pen to add the waves.

I made the background using the same stamps as the scene but just stamped them in distress inks and misted with water to get a more muted effect.

I'm entering this in the following challenges:
Crafty Catz: anything goes
Crazy 4 Challenges: summer or winter
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: product or technique you wish you used more often
(mine is stampscapes stamps)
Sister Act: anything goes
That's Crafty: all at sea

Thanks for visiting today, enjoy the rest of your weekend

Inspiration post for Vintage Stamping Challenges

Good morning folks, Monday morning already (yuk, not my favourite day of the week lol) but before I rush off to earn a crust I'd like to share an inspiration project for our Brown, Beige and Blue challenge over at Vintage Stamping Challeges. Our generous sponsor Leo from Flonzcraft has a fabby prize for our lucky winner so dust off your stamps and inks and join us to be in with a chance of winning.

I've made a little canvas wall hanging for my inspiration project. I have to confess that it nearly ended up in the bin a time or two as it wouldn't transfer from my fuddled little brain cell to the canvas lol. Anyway i managed to bodge it together in the end. I love creating sea and sky effects and decided i wanted to create some dimensional waves using tissue paper. All went well to start off with, I applied various shades of blue distress inks in stripes across my Splodge Away mat and misted with water and then popped a tissue over the top and dragged it along the stripes. I used Maimeri Matte Gel medium to apply the tissue to the canvas (tip - wait until the tissue is dry before you do this or it will totally disintegrate into a soggy blue mess , don't ask how I know this lol). Add another coat of Maimeri Matte Gel and give it a blast with your heatgun.  Then grab some more tissues and some dries white pva glue and rip bits off  and stick them on to create waves, adding a little sprinkle of glamour dust for some spray. I used a stampscapes stamp to create the island in the distance, again stamped on tissue paper. Next job was to ink all around the canvas with walnut stain distress ink.

The vintage ship battling the waves and the lighthouse are from Flonzcraft, the Sailship Ocean Addicted set. This is a fab set of stamps full of gorgeous nautical images, you can find it here. I've stamped the images on cream card and shaded with distress markers before popping them onto the canvas with a little silicone glue.

I've added some fabby fishermans netting (from Joanna Sheen) some shells, a little brass ships wheel and some twine tied in a nautical knot to finish off, you can see the embellies a bit better in this pic:

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:
Craft a Scene: let you light shine
Crafts and Me: Charmed I'm sure
Craft Room Challenge: something for a man
Crazy for Challenges: texture, texture, texture
Creative Moments: Shades of Blue
Eclectic Ellapu: masculine
Hot Shot Crafts: Anything but a card

Thanks for popping by today, have a good Monday

Summer Fun at PanPastel UK

Hi again, we've been having some gorgoeus weather here in the UK, perfect for a bit of 'Summer Fun' which is our theme at PanPastel UK. I haven't been having much summer fun as I was at work yesterday and today I've got a ginormous pile of paperwork to tackle yuk!

I've created a summer scene for my DT card, the stamps are all from Stampscapes except for the little boat which is from Sheena Douglass. I masked the sun and used ultramarine blue and the tint to create the sky, removed the mask and created the sun using diarylide yellow panpastel.

I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black and then created the sea with ultramarine blue tint, turquoise, and phthalo blue panpastels. I used a pencil eraser to create the waves and then added some colour to the islands with yellow, burnt sienna and orange pan pastels. I used a distress marker to colour the red sails.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Craft a Scene: Trees Trees Trees
Hotshot Crafts: PanPastels
Just some lines: Use two different colouring mediums
My Mum's Craft Shop: anything goes
Papertake Weekly: anything goes

As always our lucky winner will receive a panpastel starter set thanks to our generous sponsor Berni from Your Creativity Store

Now, do I make a start on the ironing or tackle the boring paper work?? Talk about spoiled for choice lol. Hope you're having a good Sunday
