Chocolate challenge at Fairy Knoll

Don't you just love chocolate? I love all kinds of chocolate so I've really enjoyed making my DT card for this weeks challenge at Fun at Fairy Knoll where the theme is.... yes, you've guessed it, CHOCOLATE! As its so cold here again lately, I decided to take inspiration from hot chocolate, the perfect drink on a cold winters evening. I've used Brandi's supercute digistamp 'Cup o' Bliss' from Fairy Knoll (the sentiment is also available at Fairy Knoll)

I've used a bp from Raspberry Road Designs, distressed with Tea Dye distress ink and i've highlighted the wording on the BP (which says 'Simple Pleasures') with a couple of heart shaped pearls. The image is coloured with promarkers and i've added stickles to the little fairy's wings. The flowers, lace and ribbons are all from my stash.

I'm entering this cup o' bliss in the following challenges:

Flourishes: Large cards (this one is 8x8)
Papertake weekly: ribbons and or pearls
Top Tip Tuesday: All sentimental
Corrosive challenge: Lace and pearls
Really Reasonable Ribbon: Hearts and ribbon (little heart shaped pearls)
Do you stack up: Think Pink

Thanks for popping by, if you need another chocolate fix check out my talented teamies blogs for some more inspirations ;-)

'Thank you' Challenge at Fairy Knoll

Hi, my second post of the day and this is my DT card for this weeks challenge from Fairy Knoll where the theme is 'Thank you', I've used this beauty called 'Blowing Kisses' she's available from Brandi's store here.

The image is coloured with promarkers and I've used spun sugar distress ink around the edge of the image and sentiment. The bps are from my Raspberry Road Designs, again distressed with spun sugar and a little victorian velvet DI. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons.

I added some little heart shaped pearls to the corners. OMG do I struggle with little gems! I've tried everything from using tweezers, a cocktail stick, blue tack to pick the little blighters up but I always struggle with them, it took me longer to put them on the card than it did to colour the image! Anyway I got them on, and somehow one of them moved while the glue was wet. Aaarrggggggg! Panic! I managed to move the offending pearl back to its rightful place and was left with a nasty mark on the bp so I covered it up with a swirl cut on my cricut! I'd forgotten about these swirls, I cut a load in white card and they are soooooo handy for finishing a project and as they are white I can just colour them to match my card! Thats my tip for the week, cut out lots of white die cut swirls etc and they are ready to colour for you card, now how on earth do you control flat backed gems????????

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Karber Weekly Challenge: pearls + a digi
2 sisters: Getting girly
Top Tip Tuesday: Anything goes
Paperplay : cutie patootie

Thanks for visiting, after my battle with the flat back gems, I think I need to lie down now lol

This weeks challenge from Fairy Knoll

Don't you just love Fridays? Its nearly the weekend and its time for another fun challenge at Fairy Knoll!!This week our theme is 'Glitter' so we want to see some sparkle on your creations. You don't have to use a Fairy Knoll image but we'd love to see your creations if you do have any of Brandi's gorgeous images, why not have a look here and pick up a fab freebie or two.

I've used one of Brandi's fab new images 'Thoughtful' (available in the Fairy Knoll shop). I love this image, she's so elegant isn't she?

I've coloured the image with promarkers and added black sakura stardust to her sweater, bag and bangles for a little sparkle. The bp is from my raspberry road designs, stamped with a clarity corner stamp and embossed with tea dye distress EP. The swirly frame is made from 2 marianne die cut shapes joined with dst and then a little ribbon added to cover the join. I made the flowers from circles of  crumpled tissue paper and added seed beads and black glitter to the centres. I added a couple of die cut flourishes and to finish off a shrink plastic charm that reads' Friends' which I made using a HOTP stamp.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Sentimental Sundays: celebrate friendship
One Stitch at a time: Anything goes
Catch the bug: Anything goes
Lexi's Creations: Pink Winter birthday

Hi, Friday at last, I'm so thankful for the weekend this week lol. The theme for our new challenge over at Fun at Fairy Knoll this week is 'Thankful'
I've used this gorgeous pumpkin digistamp available at the Fairy Knoll store for this card

The image is coloured with promarkers and triple embossed. I've used kraft card for the base and recycled the packaging from some prima flowers to mat the pumpkins on. Anything goes at Fairy Knoll !

Hi, Friday at last and time for a new challenge over at Fun at Fairy Knoll, this week we have an easy challenge for you, 'Anything Goes'. I've used one of Brandi's gorgeous halloween images 'Little Witchy' for  this card, you can find her (and lots more) here.

I've coloured Little Witchy with promarkers and cut her out. I punched the black card with an EK success border puch. The green bp is from Raspberry Road Designs and has been stamped with some toadtool and spider web stamps from Elusive Images. The ornage tartan bp is from Crafy Anns, the ribbon and buttons are from my stash. Fall Fun at Fairy Knoll

Hello, its time for another challenge over at Fairy Knoll and this week our challenge theme is 'Happy Fall'. I've used Brandi's new digistamp for this card, isn't she a cutie in her leafy top? (You can find her and lots more lovely digistamps here)

I've made a gatefold card for a change and used bps from Raspberry Road Designs. The image is coloured as usual with promarkers and I've added an arch of roses, ribbon and leaves from my stash. I did have a bit of a disaster making this card as I managed to stick the bp over my ruler and couldn't get it out lol. I think i must have been in shock though as hubby had just evicted the most enormous spider from my craft room! Well thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it lol. Fortunately i managed to get the ruler out without ruining the card.

I'm entering this cute little fall fairy in the following challenges:

Creative Inspirations: Halloween/Fall
Crafty Creations: Red, brown, green
Daring Cardmakers: Autumn Leaves
Thanks for calling by, I'm looking forward to seeing your autumn/fall creations
