By the sea at Eclectic Ellapu

Good morning my lovelies, can you believe August is here already? I seem to have blinked and missed July. Over at Eclectic Ellapu its time for a new challenge and this month the Pink Team are challenging you to create a project with a 'Beach or Sea' theme. This is one of my all time favourite themes so I really enjoyed creating this little project.

I began by painting my collage frame with white gesso and then added some texture with my favourite harlequin stencil and some texture paste. Next I gave it a coat blue and green acrylic paint and then added gilding wax one the paint was dry.

I created the little scene with stamps from Inkylicious using distress inks and thenadded some shells and twine.

Pink and White Inspiration at PanPastel UK

Good morning my lovelies, its inspiration time at PanPastel UK as you've still got a whole week to enter our 'Pink and White' Challenge to be in with a chance of winning some fabby stash thanks to those lovely folks at Premium Craft Brands! I've created a little scene using my PanPastels for my DT project

I used shades of Magenta PanPastel with colourless blender to create and ombre effect and then got to work stamping the grasses (from Inkylicious) with versamark and applying White Coarse Pearl Medium, you can't see the shimmer on the pic but this stuff is gorgeous in real life. I stamped the grasses again and embossed with Sparkle and Sprinkle Gilded Ivory EP and then matted on kraft card. I decided to add a moon and die cut a mask before using a pencil eraser to create the moon and  stamped the birds with Memento Grey Flannel ink. 

To finish off I added lace, pearls, a crystal heart button and a seam binding bow.I used a white Graph'It Shake pen to create faux stitching around the edge of the card.

By the silvery moon at Craft a Scene

Hello, I'm back again, this time with my DT project for our new challenge at Craft a Scene where our theme for October is 'By the silvery moon'

I'd found some huge card blanks in my craft room so I've decided to cut them down to a more manageable size and use them up as they have a lovely decorative edge. I began by masking the moon and inking in the sky using Clarity Stencil brushes and distress inks in Stormy Sky, Chipped Sapphire and Black soot. I then stamped the scene at the bottom using Black Archival ink and used a yellow Graph'It marker to add some colour to the windows. 

I used silver PanPastel on the moon, although it doesn't show up too well in the pic. I stamped in the verse and Santa and his sleigh using Black Archival ink and used a White graph'It shake pen to add the snowflakes. All the stamp used are from Inkylicious. 

I matted the two images on white card and then black card and added some black ribbon and a silver bells charm to finish off.

Hills and Mountains at Craft a Scene

Good afternoon, hope you're having a nice relaxing Sunday. I'm back with another post, this time for our new challenge over at Craft a Scene where our theme is 'Hills and Mountains'. I couldn't resist playing with my gelli plate acrylic paints and a palette knife to create a snowy scene, after all its never too early to start those Christmas cards lol.

I used the palette knife to apply white  paint to my gelli plate, creating the hills and mountains as I went along, I used a sponge to add some pearl acrylic paint to the sky are to create some clouds. Now if you have a go at this technique don't worry if it looks absolutely pants when you pull your print from the gelli plate lol, you just have to go with it and get inking and it will start to look better (honest). Once I'd pulled my print I masked the moon and inked in the sky using Weathered Wood, Stormy Sky and a little chipped sapphire distress ink. I used the same shades to add some depth to the gelli plate scene and then got to work with some white gesso, adding a bit of texture to the hills and mountains. 

I used stamps from Sheena Douglass, Stampendous and Inkylicious and added a little colour to the stamped images with Graph'It markers.
