My lovely blogland friends

My year in review....

I thought I'd share my favourite projects from 2013 but before I do I'd like to wish all my lovely friends and followers a very Happy Near Year! Here's hoping that 2014 brings you health, wealth and happiness (and of course lots of lovely crafty goodies lol). Thanks to everyone who has visited and special thanks to those who take the time to leave a comment, they really made my day.

I've tried to narrow my favourite projects down but I've had such fun crafting this year, I'm such a lucky girl to design for some wonderful companies and play oops work with some amazing products.  Its taken me ages to choose as I never really like stuff I've made afterwards (if you know what I mean lol)

Anyway here are my 5 favourite projects from the year, hope you like them

This canvas was made to showcase the new Metallic PanPastels, I've also used my trusty Graph'It markers on this one,

This one was made for the launch of some gorgeous new masks from Splodgeaway,

Here's  a project made for Fashionable Stamping Challenges for our 'Sew and Sew' challenge in August, I really enjoyed making this one (you can see the origianal post here)

I had to include a Halloween project as I adore the colours of Halloween, I had so much messy fun making this one which was for the launch of fab new Halloween stamps from Chocolate Baroque (you can see the full post here)

This one was made using a free stamp, its not my usual style and was a really quick card but its one I really like, may be I should try CAS more often (you can find the original post here)

I'm linking up with my lovely Graph'It Teamie Suzi who is sharing her favourite projects here (and they are lush so well worth a visit!)

Well as its New Years Eve I'm going to crack open the twiglets and perhaps have  a wee drop of falling down water, have a great time however you're celebrating and all the very best for the new year
crafty hugs

The image was coloured with my Graph'It marjers and I added glamour dust to her icicles, lots of tiny dots of liquid pearls and some Jones Tones glitter which is THE sparkliest glitter ever. Good morning folks, how's your weekend going? After a mammoth pressie wrapping session yesterday I think we're nearly ready Christmas, I'm hoping to have a lazy day today and catch up on some TV but first I wanted to share my project for this weeks challenge at Premium Craft Brands PanPastel Challenge. Pop on over to the challenge blog to find out all about the fabby prize from our generous sponsor Your Creativity Store and check out my teamies gorgeous projects too! Our theme this week for challenge entrants is 'Anything goes' but the DT were challenged to make a Christmas gift using fabric eeeeeeeek!
Talk about a challenge lol.

I had a bit of a mad scientist session in my craft room and experimented with PanPastels, Maimeri Glassy Gel and Crinoline fabric. I coloured the fabric with Permanent red PanPastel and then smothered it with Maimeri Glassy Gel and brushed on some  Gold PanPastel. I left it to dry (give it a good 24 hours) and die cut it with tattered florals and made the roses. I added some charms, beads and bits and bobs from my stash to make the necklace. Here's another pic of the flowers, they are a lot 'redder' in real life, my dodgy photography again lol.

I'm entering this one in the following challenges:

Altered Christmas at SplodgeAway

Good morning folks, I love making home decor projects for Christmas so I decided to alter a bottle, I adore making these but I've never used a mask before so this was a bit of a challenge. I created these sparkly snowflakes using the gorgeous detailed Snowflake border mask from SplodgeAway.

I taped the mask on to my nonstick craft sheet and then used a spreader to apply a mixture of Maimieri Glassy gel mixed with glitter through the mask, I removed the mask and left the snowflakes to dry - they take a good while, at least overnight but they are soooooo pretty I think  they are worth the wait. Once they were dry, I peeled them off and glued them to the bottle.

The image is from Chocolate Baroque, Gothic angels set, coloured with Graph'It markers and die cut with Spellbinders. I also added some Maimeri Glassy Gel icicles to the top of the bottle and topped it off with a ribbon and a bow.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:
All Crafts: anything goes
Allsorts: snowflakes
Anything but a card: anything you dream up
Craft your Passion: Christmas anything but a card
Papertake Weekly: Christmas projects

I've coloured her with Graph'It Markers and added glamour dust and pearls for a bit of sparkle. I fussy cut the image and layered her up over a pretty doily. The base card is from Craftwork cards, stamped with a Chocolate Baroque mistletoe stamp using Bundled Sage Distress ink, I also used this colour to ink around the edges of the card. I used a copier paper mask to create the hills, again with silver and pewter PanPastels, its hard to see on the pic but they give the most amazing shimmer and sparkle.

The stamps used are from Stampendous, I love this set its one of my favourites. I stamped the snow stamp with versamark over the sky area and then applied silver PanPastel to create the snowflakes. I added a pretty brass snowflake topped with a pearl and a die cut reindeer coloured with Burnt Sienna and the shade PanPastels. A sunny scene with Lavinia Stamps

Good morning, its been so cold and grey here this week I fancied making something to remind me of better weather so I decided to have a  play with my Lavinia stamps and create a sunny scene for the Lavinia Challenge where the theme this month is Anything goes.

I stamped the houses and masked them to ink in the sun, sky and land with distress inks. Next I stamped the trees, washing line and foliage. I also used my favourite little fairy Mia who is just pegging her wings out to dry in the sunshine. Once I'd done all the stamping I set to with my Graph'It markers and added some of my favourite bright zingy colours. I adore these little house stamps, they are so quirky!

I'm also entering this card in the following challenges:
Artistic Inspirations: anything goes/favourite colours

Acetate Angelberry card

Good morning folks, its my last day at work as i've got a long weekend off yippppppeeee. At last i'm getting into the Christmas spirit so tomorrow I'll be putting up the decorations and I suppose I really should get some Christmas shopping done too lol. Today's card is a little scene made using digis from the gorgeous PolkaDoodles CD Angelberry Christmas, I just love this cd!

I made the scene in publisher, printed it off and coloured with Graph'It markers adding some glitter and gems although they don't show up too well on the pic. I matted the image on the back of the card and added an acetate panel to the front, you need to use strong acetate for this or it goes all wobbly -not good! I added the die cut border at the bottom to strengthen it and I'm quite pleased with the result. To finish off I added a seam binding bow, a sparkly button and some bakers twine.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Glitter 'n' sparkle: show us some blue
Incy Wincy: Let it snow
Joanna Sheen: make it sparkle

Good morning folks, and a big warm welcome to my new followers,  its lovely to 'meet' you!! I don't know about you but I'm not enjoying these long dark nights, in fact I'm starting to feel a bit like a bat lol. I can't wait to see some sunshine. My card today features the fab new Steampunk Birds stamps from Chocolate Baroque which I've combined with a quirky little cottage from Sunburst Scenes.

The background was made using PanPastels, I used a die cut cog as a stencil to create the sun. I coloured the cottage with Graph'It markers. The main images were also coloured with Graph'Its and decoupaged for a little depth. The sentiment is from Home Sweet Home, stamped on kraft card and die cut with spellbinders tag die. I matted the scene on some brown card and layered it up on some Kraft resist paper that I'd coloured with Forest Moss distress ink.

Blazing Poppies

Good morning my lovelies, I don't know about you but I'm about had it with making Christmas cards lol. I've still got a few to make eeeeek but I couldn't resist having a play with some pretty summery colours for my entry for this months challenge at Indigo Blu where the theme is 'Lest We Forget' so they want to see us use poppies

When I first moved in to this house, the garden was full of the most ginormous weeds and brambles and it took me about two years to turn it into a pretty garden, but scattered through all the weeds were the most gorgeous pale pink poppies that sprung up everywhere. Sadly none of them survived my blitzing of the garden so I decided to try and capture their lovely delicate pink in my card.

I began by stamping Indigo Blu Blazing Poppies with versamark and embossing with white EP, next I stamped the Indigo blu flourish around the edges and again embossed with white EP. Next I blended distress inks in Shabby Shutters, Tumbled Glass and Evergreen Bough all over the cardstock. I lifted the colour from the flowers with water and a paint brush and once it was dry added some colour with Graph'It markers. The sentiment is also from Indigo Blu, again stamped in white and inked with the same colours.

I'm also entering this card in the following challenges:
Allsorts: anything but Christmas
Charisma Cardz: distressed
Crafts Too: natural world plus add a flower
Crafty Creations: anything except Christmas

Thanks for popping by today, hope to see you again soon

Snowy scene

Good morning folks, I think I blinked and missed the weekend as its Monday already. I'm not too grumpy though as its our staff party today so we get to down tools at lunchtime and relax with a nice buffet and some Christmas music. Anyway before the festivities, I just wanted to share a card made for a couple of challenges:

I love to make a card from just white card, its sooooooo satisfying isn't it? this card is made just from one sheet of white card and a chipped sapphire distress ink pad (and of course loads of Clarity Stamps). I saw this months challenge at Clarity was scene building and had decided to try and play along and when I spotted the challenge at Craft a Scene was to make a winter scene with an optional extra of making a tri-shutter card I had to have a go.

The folding lark was the most complicated, eeeeeeeek! I'm totally useless at measuring and folding lol. I began by creating the card base and then set to with my Clarity Stamps to create the wintery scene. the scene didn't look right extending in to the bottom of the card so I used a shaving brush and more Chipped Sapphire ink to create the blue border and added some snow with a white sharpie pen.

Here are a couple more pics:

I wasn't too sure about the tree at the top but they kind of look like dark hills in the background (hopefully lol)

I'm also entering this card in the following challenges:
Clarity Stamps: Scene building
Craft a Scene: winter scene plus optional trishutter card
Crafty Calendar: December Cold and Frosty
Fab'n'Funky: frosty
Jo's Scrap Shack: winter wonderland
Inky Impressions: winter/snow
Simon Says Stamp: make your own background
Stamplorations: christmas stamps and silhouettes

Have a good day and thanks so much for visiting today
