Thanks at Fashionable Stamping Challenges

Hello there my lovelies, we've got our new challenge starting over at Fashionable Stamping Challenges and this month Esther has chosen the theme of 'Thanks/Gratitude' for us. As always our lucky winner will receive a $20 voucher from Flonzcraft ! Don't forget that you do need to ink up those stamps to play along, no digis allowed!

I've used some old paper scraps from a 12x12 kit that I thought would be perfect with this lovely Snowdrop image (from Imagination Crafts). This is the first time this stamp has been inked up although I've had it for a while. I've used kraft card for matting and layering and lots of distressing with a craft knife and also Gathered Twigs distress ink. The image was stamped with versamark and embossed with Mercury Grey WOW EP, as was the sentiment and I've added some colour with Twinkling H2os. You can see the sparkle of the EP a bit better in this pic.

I've also used ribbon, lace and pearls from my stash.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Allsorts: ribbon and lace
Crafting by Designs: Anything goes
Crafts Galore Encore: Anything goes
Crafty Catz: Flowers
Creative Fingers: Anything goes
We Love Vintage: Anything vintage

Thanks so much for visiting today

Anything Mixed Media/Creative Goes at We Love 2 Create

Good morning my lovelies, its challenge time over at We love 2 Create and as always we're keeping it easy with a theme of Anything Mixed Media/Creative Goes so no excuse no to play along. Our lucky winner will receive some gorgeous goodies from those lovely peeps at Premium Craft Brands and there are Top 3 honours up for grabs too!

I've altered this MDF blank to create somewhere to put my keys. I've used lots of different PanPastels, you can find links at the bottom of this post.

I began with a coat of white gesso and once that was dry I coloured the MDF with PanPastels and sealed with my homemade sealer spray. I make this with 1/3 mat gel medium and 2/3 water in a spritzer bottle. Its fab for sealing your Pans.

Once this was dry I added Sparkle Medium to the flowers and some White Enamel Accents to the toadstools. I couldn't resist adding a sprinkle of fairy dust but I didn't have any so I had to use Glamour dust lol.

Next job was to use my White Graph'It Shake Pento add polka dots and checks to the word HOME.

I decided to create a background as I didn't want to see wallpaper behind my little fairyland scene so I took some white card and drew around the MDF. I used my Pans to create the scene and then glued the MDF over the top and let it dry before I trimmed it.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:

Crafts 4 Eternity: anything goes
Crafty Cardmakers: anything but a card
Not just cards: anything goes
Simply Create Too: anything goes
Simon Says Stamp: anything goes
Simply Papercraft: anything goes

Thanks so much for visiting today, hope to see you again soon

Your favourite technique at Fashionable Stamping Challenges

Hello my lovelies, its a busy weekend of blogging for me and this post is for our new challenge at Fashionable Stamping Challenges where the lovely Dot has chosen our theme which is 'Your Favourite Technique'. As always we have a fab prize for a $20 voucher up for grabs from our generous sponsor Flonzcraft! We especially need to see that the stamping is the focal point on the project and that this must follow the format of the theme too.

Well I've combined 3 of my favourite techniques for this project, playing with stencils and mediums, colouring and altering stuff from the mountain of 'goodies' waiting to be decorated lol.

This little gift box started life as a box of maltesters (yum). I began with a coat of Maimeri Gesso and then some cream emulsion paint. Once that was dry I distressed the edges with shabby shutters distressed ink and added a touch of treasure gold too. I took a sheet of a4 ivory card and got to work with an Imaginations Crafts stencil and Maimeri Light Modelling Paste coloured with shabby shutters distress reinker.

Once that was dry I cut it up to cover the box, distressing the edges with more distress ink and my craft kniife. I stamped a corner stamp from Clarity in the corners of the box using gold stazon.

The image is one of my favourites from Flonzcraft, she's called 'Girl on a Windy Hill' and she's been coloured with Graph'It Markers and die cut with a sizzix oval die and edges with pearl trim. I've used a spellbinders die cut and seam binding ribbon to make a closure for the box and added some glittered paper flowers and a tiny die cut butterfly.

I'm entering this in the following challenges:
A Creative Romance: Spring flowers
Crafty Little Fairies: vintage/shabby chic
Fairies Challenge: shabby/vintage
Get Inky: spring/Easter
Imagination Crafts: anything goes
So Artful: signs of spring
Stamplorations: Stamps and your favourite technique

If you've got a few minutes do check out all the gorgeous inspiration from my lovely teamies,
have a great Sunday and thanks for visiting today

Imagination iin bloom: Fuchsias

Good morning my lovelies, I'm rushing off to work as usual but before I go I just wanted to share this card made for the March challenge at Imagination Crafts Challenge where the theme is Imagination in Bloom

The main image is one of my favourite stamps from Imagination Crafts, fuchsias are one of my favourite flowers and I adore this stamp. I've coloured the image with my Graph'It marrkers and distressed the edges with shabby shutters Distress ink.

I've layered it up over a shaped card front from Craftwork cards, I've used an Imagination Crafts stencil with Sparkle medium on that layer, distressing the edges again with shabby shutters. The card blank was stamped with some of the little stamps from the Fuchsia stamp set and again distressed with more shabby shutters distress ink.
I've added some ribbon, lace, pearls and a die cut butterfly to finish off.
I'm also entering this card in the following challenges:
Cards Galore Encore: use a stamp or digi
Cut it up: green or Spring
Open Minded Challenges: something green
Penny's Paper Crafty: anything but square
Totally Gorjuss: pink and green

Thanks for visiting, have a great day and hope to see you again soon

Playing with sparkle medium

Good morning my lovelies, it looks like another grey and rainy day here so I'm going to sneak off and spend the day in my craft room once the dogs have had their walk and I've done a wee bit of housework. Before I go though, today's card is one of my experiments with Sparkle Medium from Imagination Crafts.

I fell in love with this mask, so many uses for it but I began with a nice simple one, I inked through the mask with pumice stone distress ink and then applied clear sparkle medium, it doesn't show in the pic but it gives a gorgeous effect in real life. I used pearl card and the colour is a scrummy grey and the sparkle looks a bit purple here and there. I've made a background using one of the smaller stamps from the Fuchsia stamp set from Imagination Cafts and then added some black lace and white ribbon to finish off. I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Brown Sugar: anything goes
Country View Crafts: Monochromatic
Imagination Crafts: anything goes
Fussy and Fancy: monochromatic
Inspired by Stamping: Create custom patterned paper
Milk Coffee: monochromatic
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: anything goes

Thanks for popping by today, hope to see you again soon

Shabby Fuchsias

Good morning my lovelies, well my week off is nearly half gone so i'm going to make the most of today with lots of crafting and lunch with an old friend. Before I go and get inky I wanted  to share this card made with goodies from Imagination Crafts. I'd never tried their sparkle medium but gave in to temptation and of course a few other goodies fell into my basket lol

Now I've used loads of mediums and pastes but this stuff is gorgeous! Its quite thick which makes it really easy to use and yep its beautifully sparkly although the pics don't do it justice. Its such a nightmare trying to get decent pics this time of year isn't it?

The main image is a stamp from Imagination crafts, coloured with Graph'It markers and decoupaged, I love fuchsias so I'll be getting lots of use out of this stamp.

The next layer was made with a stencil. also from Imagination Crafts, love this one its so delicate. I inked with bundled sage distress ink and then applied the sparkle medium, such a pretty effect.

The background was made with distress inks, bundled sage, tattered rose and milled lavender and a tiny leaf stamp (from the fuchsia set) stamped with more bundled sage.

I've added some metal butterfly charms, gesso'd and highlighted with a little treasure gold, pretty lace, ribbon, pearls and a little button with a twine bow.

I'm entering this in the following challenges:
Crafting from the Heart: anything goes/pearls/buttons
Creative Creations: anything goes
Imagination Crafts: anything goes
Incy Wincy: 3 Favourite embellies (lace ribbon and butterflies for me)
Stamping Sensations: ribbon, buttons and bows
Sugar Creek Hollow: Something new (stamps, stencil and sparkle medium)

Thank so much for visiting and your kind comments
have a good day
