Challenge 27 at CCWS

Hi there, well its time for a new challenge over at Christmas Challenges {with sketches} and this time we have a fab sketch from the lovely Bettina and a twist too - BINGO! For my line I've used Lace, Pearls and a charm but you'll have to pop over to the challenge blog to see the sketch and to check out the bingo too.

I've used a very old Tilda stamp for this card, I've had her for years so it was time she was inked up again. She's coloured with promarkers and has a little ivory flowersoft and glamour dust added to give her a bit of sparkle. The papers are from GCD and the sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps. I've added some faux pearls to finish off.

Challenge 25 at Christmas Challenges {with sketches}

Hi there, our new challenge over at Christmas Challenges with sketches is a fab sketch by my lovely teamie Wilma, pop over and have a look and while you're there have a look at the gorgeous cards my teamies have made. For my card I've used backing paper from Chocolate Baroques Season's Greetings cd and GDC Joyeaux Noel, both distressed with Tea Dye distress ink. The image is a beautiful angel stamp also from Chocolate Baroque, i've painted her with twinking H2os and die cut her using a circle die (she is actually a full length figure but I've used used her top half for this card). I've embellished my card with pearls, gems, ribbon lace and stamped the sentiment on a little acrylic tag.

Challenge #24 at Christmas Challenges {with Sketches}

Where did the last two weeks go?? At this rate it will soon be Christmas lol. But my Christmas card box is filling up nicely and here's another card for our new challenge at Christmas Challenges {with Sketches} where my lovely teamie Renata has designed a gorgeous sketch to inspire us, we also have a twist to go with the sketch - use traditional Christmas colours - so pop over to the challenge blog and find out more

For my DT card I've used the beautiful Pine Cone Fairy, a very old stamp from Joanna Sheen, she's coloured with derwent pencils and has a little glamour dust for some sparkle. The papers are from GCD and the pine cones were made with my new Tattered pine cones die. Ribbon, lace, pearls and buttons from my stash.

Its a bit of a short post from me today as i'm still not feeling well and the doctor says I've got shingles, ouch. Hopefully it will clear up soon and I'll be able to catch up with all my blogging buddies

Challenge 19 at Christmas Challenges {with sketches}

Its time for a new challenge at Christmas Challenges {with sketches} and this time around we have a sketch from our lovely teamie Linda,  we also have a twist to our challenge this time, we also want to see you use kraft on your project.

For some reason the colours on the pic are nothing like on the card itself (I don't know why i sound so surprised, its probably because it was me using the camera lol). I've used an assortment of papers from my scrapbox, matted on kraft card. The image is one of my favourite stamps from Paper Pretties, he's called Bundled Up Cooper, I've coloured him with promarkers and cut him out with nesties. The sentiment from Whimsy stamps, I adore their postaage stamp sentiments! I stamped with sepia versamark on craft card and die cut with the matching postage stamp die and then stamped it again on a scrap of pale blue card and just used the centre.

For my DT card i've used papers from GCD Ella Blue collection, all matted on to kraft card, a kraft border punched with an EK success punch, a Marianne die cut snowflake with a little stickles. The image  is 'Window Wonder' from Di's digi Downloads,  coloured with promarkers and glittered with judikins prisma glitter although that doesn't show up too well in the pic. To finish off I've added some blue ribbon from my stash and stamped a 'Let it snow' sentiment on a die cut kraft tag

GDT at CRAFT Challenge

Hi there folks, well its my second week as GDT over at CRAFT challenge and this week we have a really fun theme for you, we want to see a card with a removable item! We have not one but two fab sponsors this week so 2 prizes up for grabs. For one lucky winner there is a prize from My Creative Classroom

I can really recommend the courses from My Creative Classroom as i did one earlier in the year and it was fab-u-lous so someone is in for a real treat! There is also another great prize of 3 digi stamps from Bows and Berries.

Now this challenge had me rummaging through my craft room for my thinking cap lol. I was tempted to make something with a little gift attached but didn't have a lot of time for any beading so I decided to make a card with a removeable tag. I've used papers from GCD Joyeaux Noel pad, matted on kraft and the main image is a cute digi  called 'Festive Birdhouse' from  our sponsor Bows and Berries

The image is coloured with promarkers and I've added glossy accents to the fairy lights and polar white flowersoft and glamour dust to the snow on the roof. I've cut the image out and popped it on a little pocket made using Nesties. Here's another pic showing the tag too (sorry the colours are rubbish, my camera has bleached the colour for some reason)

The sentiment is a stamp from Chocolate Baroque and the ribbons are from Crafty Ribbons and Joanna Sheen. I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Sketch number 4 at Christmas Challenges {with sketches}

Hello there, phew we've been having some lovely warm summer weather (although its the weather isn't playing nicely today lol) but its never to early to get ahead with your Christmas cards so why not pop over to Christmas Challenges {with sketches} and check out my lovely teamie Renata's gorgeous sketch for our latest challenge.

Right back to my card, I've used a cute Tilda stamp for this card. I have to say I don't often use my Magnolia stamps but I thought this little sweetie would be perfect for a Christmas card. I've coloured her wih my luvverly new Tria markers (a mega bargain from Letraset), I love them as they have a really fine tip as well as the usual brush and chisel nibs. Great news that they are bringing out a fine tip for promarkers, I'll have to invest in some of them. 


Anyway back to Tilda, I cut her out and layered her up on a die cut (nestie labels 4) distressed with lots of vintage photo DI and a faux nestie cut from red card and again distressed. I added a little glitter to her star. The backing papers are from GCD 'Joyful Peace' collection, all have been distressed with my craft knife. I've added some red card from my stash and embossed a piece with a Stampers Anonymous music stamp. The ribbon is from my stash and the flowers are mostly from Wild Orchid Crafts, all liberally glamour dusted. I also added a little star to match the star Tilda is carrying. I painted a grungeboard star with pale yellow acrylic paint and again added lots of glamour dust. Once it was dry I attached the star to a cocktail stick that I coloured with tea dye distress ink. To finish off I've added some red wired beads, a sentiment from Crafters Companion and some raffia lace and a little charm. Here's another pic to show the detail and hopefully the colours a bit better.
