Christmas inspiration at PanPastel UK

Good morning my lovelies, its inspiration time at PanPastel UK and you've still got loads of time to play along with our 'Christmas Challenge' which is running until 3rd January. As always there's a fab prize for our lucky winner from Premium Craft Brands

I've had lots of Christmassy fun altering this wooden ornament that I got for 50p in the poundshop sale last year, what a bargain!! I stencilled the brick over the letters with Maimeri Light Modelling Paste and then once it was dry coloured the bricks with Burnt Sienna and a little Raw Umber PanPastel. I've coloured the Dutch Doobadoo fence and lanterns with more PanPastels (applying versamark ink first to get more depth of colour). 

The Dutch Doobadoo snowflakes were coloured with PanPastel Course White medium for a gorgeous shimmer. The 'Christmas  Trees' are actually Dutch Doobadoo Laser Art Ferns, coloured with PanPastels and turned upside down before being decorated with glitter glue. I added the stamped images (from Lili of the Valley, coloured with my Graph'It markers of course).

 To finish off I created some more snow along the bottom of the scene and on the letters by applying Maimeri Light Modelling Paste and sprinkling on lots of crushed glass glitter

Waetr/Ice at Graph'It Colouring Challenge

Good morning, its inspiration time at Graph'It Colouring Challenge! You've still got loads of time to enter our challenge to be in with a chance of winning some gorgeous Graph'It goodies thanks to those lovely peeps at Premium Craft Brands. The theme is 'Water/ice' or Blue/purple.

I've used papers from LOTV, a bit of frantage and then added lots of embellies - two colours of lace, ribbon, cheesecloth, a shabby bow topped with a mother of pearl button and a twine bow and a little anchor charm.

The image is from Sweet Pea Stamps, you can find a full list of the colours I've used over on the challenge blog. I've also used my Graph'Its to colour some clear Doodle Dewdrops - I'm really pleased with them and now I can colour my dewdrops to match my project :-)

Christmas at We Do Doobadoo

Good morning folks, its a horrible rainy morning here today perfect for catching up on some crafting. We're feeling all Christmassy over at We Do Doobadoo this time so pop on over to the challenge blog and check out all the details as there's a fab prize for our lucky winner and loads of inspiration from my teamies too!

I've used a LOTV stamp for my Christmas card, she's been coloured with distress inks and glittered.

I've made the background with PanPastels and the Dutch Doobadoo A5 stars stencil, once I'd added the colour I applied Maimeri Glassy Gel and removed the stencil before sprinkling clear glitter over the top. It does take a while to dry but the glassy gel gives the background loads  of dimension. I've used kraft card to mat and layer the image and the background after distressing the edges and added some pompom trim, seambinding ribbon, a button and some twine. The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps, I love these postage stamp sentiments and the matching die! I've used some of the fab Dutch Doobadoo Kraft Stars, I've coloured the white side with Hansa Yellow PanPastel and again applied Maimeri Glassy Gel and some glitter.

Fur and feathers inspiration at Graph'It Colouring Challenge

Good morning my lovelies, another day off work for me so I'm one very happy bunny. Talking of happy bunnies, I'm rabbit sitting this week as my son and his girlfriend are sunning themselves in Egypt. Rolo has settled in a treat, he's sooooo friendly and sooooo cuddly I don't think I'm going to let him go home lol.
Anyway my card today is for our inspiration post at Graph'It Colour Challenge, you've still got a week to enter and our theme is 'Fur and Feathers'. As always there is fabby prize from our generous sponsor Your Creativity Store! You don't have to use Graph'It markers to enter but we love it when you do :-)

For my card I've used a bp from Lili of the Valley, the image is from Aurora Wings and its called 'Acorn Sprite riding on a squirrel', I just love this image! I've coloured it with my Graph'It markers - for a full list pop over to the Challenge blog. To create the fur effect I used lots of different colours and a flicking technique on the tail. Once I'd coloured the face I used Mix'It fluid on a piece of flannel and gently dabbed to create a furry effect.

I've added some raffia lace, lime green ribbon and lots of little flowers berries and an acorn cap. The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley, punched and layered over a spellbinders die cut, the little bark heart is from my stash.

Face the music and dance at Vintage Stamping Challenges

Good morning folks, Monday morning already and its time for a new challenge at Flonzcraft Vintage Stamping Challenges and this month our theme is 'Face the music and dance' so we want to see your projects with music or dance somewhere, of course we want to see stamping as the focus of your project too (no digistamps allowed). Our lucky winner will receive a $20 voucher from Flonzcraft and you get lots of stamps for your money so I do hope you're going to join us.

I didn't have any music or dance themed stamps from Flonzcraft so I decided to improvise and stamped an Indigo Blu music stamp over my backing paper with Tea Dye distress ink. The bp is from Lili of the Valley and I used it to cover a shaped card blank, distressing the edges with some more Tea Dye distress ink. I used a spellbinders die to cut the mat for my focal image, this little girl from Flonzcraft is one of my favourites 'Girl with bird on hand'. I coloured her with pencils and fussy cut her, popping her up on 3d foam pads and adding the birds to the corner of the card. 

I've added some little pearl flowers with gems in the centres, ribbon, pearls, lace and a little bird charm to finish off.

Pins and Pearls at We do Doobadoo

Morning all, hope you're having a lovely Saturday. Its total chaos here as usual so I'll keep it short and sweet this morning. Today's card is my DT project for We Do Doobadoo, our brand new challenge is 'Pearls and Pins', as always you don't have to use Dutch Doobadoo goodies to enter and our lucky winner will get some fabby Dutch Doobadoo stash! Pop over to the challenge blog and check out all the details and my teamies gorgeous projects too.

I've made an easel card using one of the Dutch Doobadoo Shape Art temples and kraft card. The image is from LOTV, coloured with my Graph'It markers. The bp is also from LOTV. I've added lots of Dutch Doobadoo embellies to this card 

I've used the pretty Laser Art Butterflies, buttons, keys and locks and of course I had to add some of my favourite softboard Honeycomb. The butterflies were coloured with PanPastels and I used versamark and embossing powder on the buttons, key and lock.

for the base of the easel I used stamps designed by Nikky Hall for Premium Craft Brands, I just love this postcard stamp! 

To finish off I've added some paper flowers from my stash, some seambinding bows and of course a couple  of pins and some pearls.

Male Colours at Graph'It

Good morning (again lol), this is my second post of the day so please scroll down for my Polkadoodles DT project. This card is for our new challenge over at Graph'It Markers where we've got a bit of a blokey theme going on, as ever there's a fab prize up for grabs and loads of inspiration from my lovely teamies so hop on over to find out all the details.

I've used a LOTV stamp, coloured with my beloved Graph'It markers (for a full list of colours used pop over to the challenge blog). I wanted to give him some depth so I cut out the image and the tree to decoupage them. I love to see those gorgeous dotty backgrounds but they take soooooooooo long to do I usually get bored lol. Anyway I decided to experiment with my background - I marked the position of the image on the die cut I was using for the background and then took my Graph'Its and used the outside of an old biro as an airbrush to create a mist of ink around where the image would go. Here's a better view of the image:

The sentiments and backing paper are also LOTV stamps. I've added some ribbon, raffia lace and some tiny buttons to finish off. I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Little Cowboy

Good morning my lovelies, hope you've had a good weekend. I've been bunkered up in my craft room as its been such terrible weather making samples but I can't share them just yet so today's card is a little cutie from LOTV, I just love this stamp!

I've coloured the image with promarkers and matted on a spellbinders die cut. The bp is also from LOTV as are the tiny tag sentiments. I've added a little heart and a lasso made from some garden twine.

Complex geo-celtic framer from SplodgeAway

Good morning my lovelies, hope you're having a good week so far and enjoying the lovely blue sky and sunshine. I haven't seen much of at as i've been a work mores the pity. This mornings card uses the beautiful new Complex Geo-celtic mask from SplodgeAway. I love to use these masks to create a pretty frame for my cards :-)

I've applied Maimeri Light Modelling Paste through the mak and left it todry, once it was dry i've coloured it with Worn Lipstick distress ink and then popped the mask back in place and sprayed very lightly with Spray and Sparkle (one tip, keep you phone out of the way when you're using this stuff or you'll end up with a very sparkly phone lol)

I've used the frame with a pretty LOTV stamp that I coloured with distress markers. the sentiment is  a stamp from chocolate Baroque, stamped with Worn Lipstick. I've added a seam binding bow, a paper flower from Wild Orchid Crafts and a butterfly that I made with the SplodgeAway Butterfly Creator mask, glamour dust and tiny pearls.
