'Memories' at Rainbow Lady's Challenge

For my card I've used bps from Raspberry Road Designs, ribbon and a cute ribbon buckle 'thingy' from my stash. The focal image is a stamp from Joanna Sheens 'Faye Whittaker' stamps, I love these vintage scenes they are gorgeous. I've stamped the image with black archival ink and then watercoloured the image with distress markers. I'm really loving these scrummy new pens!!

A New challenge at Rainbow Lady's Challenge Blog

Hi there its time for a new challenge at Rainbow Lady's Challenge blog and this time out theme is 'St Georges Day/English/Patriotic'

For my card I've used a striped bp from Raspberry Road Designs, printed on copier paper and scrunched up layered over some tissue paper that i'd coloured with antique linen distress stain. I've used stamps from Crafty Individuals and Creative Expressions and layered them up. The stamping is topped with some stamped seam binding and buttons with a couple of red bows to finish off. I had to give the rather grumpy looking chap a red bow on his hat, its not just to cheer him up lol, he had writing on his hat and it was in French so I had to cover it up to fit the challenge theme  :-)

Challenge #17 at Christmas Challenges {with sketches}

Hi there, it our first challenge of 2012 at Christmas Challenges {with Sketches} and  this week its my turn to design the sketch so I hope you like it :-) 

For a bit of extra fun we're going to be adding a twist to some of our challenge and this week as well as using the sketch we'd like to see die cuts and/or punches too

This time around our challenge is sponsored by 'My Favourite Things' so don't forget to visit the challenge blog to see the sketch and to find out more about the prize on offer

The backing paper is from Raspberry Road Designs, distressed with a craft knife and matted on pink pearl card. I've created a panel using STampers Anonymous tree stamps and Memento Bamboo leaves ink, I inked the sky with Victorial Velvet distress ink. The circle frame is a Marianne Die cut, swiped with versamark and embossed with gold EP. The gorgeous angel  rubber stamp is by Chrissy Armstrong  from Whimsy STamps, she is coloued with promarkers. To finish off I've added some die cut filigree corners from Make it Crafty, some rolled ribbon roses and die cut leaves. The sentiment is from the same stamp set, its stamped on a creative acrylic tag.

Sweet Blossom

Hi there, its the first day of my week off work today and I've had a lovely crafty morning :-)

Its so cold outside Its perfect weather to bunker up and craft. As a change from Christmas cards, todays card share is an 18th birthday card for my son's girlfriend, using Sweet Blossom from Wee stamps

After making so many Christmas projects it was a lovely change to make a flowery card. The bps are all from Raspberry Road Designs, distressed with a craft knife and matted on cream card with a MS punched border. The image was coloured with promarkers and distressed with spun sugar distress ink. I've added paper roses from Wild Orchid Crafts and some silk flowers from my stash. I stamped the '18' using stamps from Crafters Companion using gold stazon on shrink plastic and heated it to shrink before attaching it with silicone glue and adding a rose pink seam binding bow. To finish off I added some faux pearls with a viva pearl pen.

Fairy Kiki

Hi there folks, I'm working from home today so I'm making the most of my lunchbreak to post a card I made for one of my friends birthdays a couple of weeks ago. She loves fairies so I used the supercute 'Fairy Kiki' from Mo Manning for this card. I'm pretty new to Mo's images but I really love this little fairy she is adorable, so adorable in fact that Sheena loved her card and is planning on having a go at making some herself :-)

Its an 8x8 card and the bp is from Raspberry Road Designs. I've coloured Fairy Kiki with promarkers and added a little glitter to her wings. The butterfly is die cut using a Marianne die and the sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps. The faux postage sentments are gorgeous and the little die to cut them out is fab. To finish off I've added some hot pink ribbon from Crafty Ribbons to pick out the roses in the bp and some faux gemstones.

Having to drag a 21 year old off facebook to check my emails or do some blogging is no fun believe me lol. Hopefully poor lappy will be back from the puter hospital with a clean bill of health very soon, apparently he was on the workbench on Saturday( I should think so too, he's been there for nearly 3 weeks!!)

Challenge 6 at Christmas Challenges {with sketches}

Hello folks, can you believe its time for a new challenge at Christmas Challenges {with sketches} already? This week its my turn to design the sketch, its my very first attempt (eeek how scary lol!) so I hope you like it.

I've used a lovely stamp from Whiff of Joy for my card, 'Confirmation Melinda' and coloured her with promarkers (of course she needed a little glamour dust too lol). She's matted on some pale pink glitter card. The bp is from Raspberry Road Designs, they have such scrummy papers and this is one of my favourites. I've added some mistletoe diamonds (stamp from Joanna Sheen) stamped on pink vellum with gilded ivory EP and a stickles border. The flowers are also cut from pink vellum (with a Marianne die) and have faux gems in the centres and lots of glamour dust. The sentiment is from Chocolate Baroque.

Get ready for Christmas at Christmas Challenges {with sketches}

Where on earth is this year going? I can't believe it was the longest day yesterday ... before we know it Christmas will be here and its never to early to start your Christmas cards. Our latest challenge at Christmas Challenges {with sketches] is a great way to get ahead with your Christmas cards and this time we have a gorgeous sketch from my lovely teamie Nicole to work with. I really enjoyed making my DT card which feature a really stunning digi stamp from Crafts and Me called 'Twiglight'. Its not necessarily a Christmas image but I thought she would be a lovely Christmas angel.

I've coloured Twilight with promarkers and added glamour dust to her wings and the trim on her dress. After cutting her out carefully, i've matted her onto a pretty doiley. The bp is from Raspberry Road Designs and I've added 3 parchment squares stamped with a Joanna Sheen doiley stamp and edged with stickles. The sentiment is also from Joanna Sheen. To finish the card off I've added some faux pearls, white seam binding ribbon, a die cut snowflake and a rose from WOC.  I've struggled to get a decent pic but this photo shows a little more of the detail and is a truer colour than the larger pic.

Sweet Treats with the Rainbow Lady

This week our challenge over at Rainbow Lady's Challenge is Sweet Treats for Easter! 

We have a really fab prize up for grabs too.... our lucky winner will receive stamps to the value of £15 from The Artistic Stamper!! Mmm I wonder if I can disguise myself and enter lol?

Now I don't normally make many Easter cards and only have a couple of Easter stamps in my stash so I didn't have a lot of choice for my DT card. I've used this gorgeous stamp - Fantasy Easter Ocean by Ching Chou Kuik from Sweet Pea Stamps for my card. The bunnies are so cute and there are some little Easter eggs there honest :-)

I've painted the image with distress inks, I love using these inks but it takes me sooooo long to do lol. This kept me out of mischief for hours. I've used a bp from Raspberry Road Designs and distressed it with a craft knife. I die cut the border with my cuttlebug and coloured it with wild honey distress ink. The leaves are stamped using Sheena Douglass stamps and made the flower by punching 6 flowers with a woodware punch using copier paper. I sprayed the punched flowers with starfish and yellow daisy glimmer mists and layered them up once the were dry.

Easter Bunny Blog Hop at MPS

I wasn't sure what to make for my Blog Hop Project and started off by colouring some of Michelle's Easter images, I got a bit carried away and ended up using Oh Happy Spring, Happy Easter Bunny and the gorgeous Easter basket and Easter eggs which you can win along the blog hop route!! I've used bps from Raspberry Road Designs, yellow gingham ribbon from my stash and some yellow chiffon again from my stash All Michelle's lovely images are coloured with my promarkers and the bunnies both have a little black enamel accents on their noses. To make the candy jar I used the little Easter Eggs from the basket set and enlarged them. Once Id coloured them I cut them out and stuck them around the sides of the jar. I also used some eggs on the ends of the ribbon.

For my card I've used this beautiful new image 'Bunny Tween' available in the Digi's With Attitude! store here. Bunny Tween is adorable isn't she? I thought she had a kind of retro feel once I'd coloured her and found these gorgeous Easter bps over at Raspberry Road Designs.

Bunny Tween is coloured with promarkers and cut out before being layered up on a couple of heart shaped doileys. I've used a MS punch on the bp borders, added some gold satin ribbon and some lace from my stash. The paper roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the daffodils are from my stash. The main bp is distressed with my craft knife and has pale gold dewdrops from Crafty Emma's Store in the corners.
