All things Spring at Vintage Stamping Challenges

Hello there, how's your Monday going? I've been running late all day (nothing new there lol) but better late than never here's my post for our new challenge over at Flonzcraft Vintage Stamping Challenges where the theme is 'All things Spring'. As always there's a Flonzcraft voucher up for grabs but remember we are a stamping challenge so no digistamps are allowed.

I've made a large tag which looks a bit dark in the pics so you'll have to use your imagination a bit lol. I began by stamping and masking the image, one of my all time favourites from Flonzcraft, you can find here here in the 'Countrylife Pastoral' set. Then I got to work stencilling around the image using texture poaste and a Dutch Doobadoo brick stencil and some leaves and flowers from Indigo Blu.  I added some colour with distress inks and PanPastels and then removed the masking fluid to colour the image using distress markers

I've also added some die cut branches, a little birdie and some paper flowers and berries.

To finish off I added a little birds nest, some seam binding ribbon that I'd coloured with distress ink and some little pearls.

Splatters and Drips at Vintage Stamping Challenges

Good morning folks, we've got a new challenge starting at Vintage Stamping Challenges and our theme for February is 'Splatters and Drips'. We're a stamping challenge so make sure you ink up those rubber/clear stamps to play along (no digis allowed) and our lucky winner will receive a generous $20 voucher to spend at Flonzcraft!

I struggled a bit with this theme for some reason although I do love messy crafting. This was my last attempt lol. I began by stamping the focal images from the Flonzcraft stamp set 'Sweet Bird of Love' with versamark and embossing with Gold EP on cream card that I'd die cut. I then sprayed lots of glimmer mist over the embossing and let it drip down the cardstock.. Next I added some splatters of brown Tattered Angels glitter paint and left it to dry.

I used the same brown paint to give the birds a little definition and then added some stencilling with an Indigo Blu stencil and some gathered twigs distress ink. 

To finish off I've added a seambinding bow topped with a brass flower and a pretty bead and a brass bird charm.

Anything goes with your new stash at Vintage Stamping Challenges

Good morning my lovelies, its time for a new challenge over at  Flonzcraft Vintage Stamping Challenges and this month our theme is 'Anything Goes with new stash' so if Santa was kind enough to bring you crafty goodies for Christmas its a great opportunity to join in. As always though we must see some stamping on your project, no digis are allowed. Our lucky winner will receive a $20 voucher to spend at Flonzcraft so its definitely worth playing along.

I've used some of my newest stamps on this project, I've also used lots of old goodies that I've just unearthed lol. Since I moved house I've been gradually sorting out all my craft stuff and its fab, like having loads of new stash as I'd forgotten I'd got lots of things lol. My project is an altered coffee can and matching tag. I've used Ranger Kraft Resist vard stock that I've inked with Distress Stains and overstamped with some gorgeous flower stamps from Dreamees. I've covered the coffee can with the card, added some string, twill ribbon and seam binding and made a layered flower using the Dreamees stamps and Memento Rhubarb Stalk ink.

I've made a tag in the same way, adding a strip of the leftover kraft resist card to a tag and popping on an extra butterfly. I've also used one of my favourite stamps from Flonzcraft, this gorgeous birdie stamp can be found here. I've embossed the image with black Embossing powder and added some colour with distress markers.

Vintage Christmas at Flonzcraft Vintage Stamping Challenges

Good morning folks, we're feeling festive at Flonzcraft Vintage Stamping Challenges as our theme this month is 'Vintage Christmas'. It's hard to believe its November already so it certainly won't be long until Santa is here! As always we've got a $20 voucher  to spend at Flonzcraft up for grabs for our lucky winner but you do need to ink up those stamps to play along. We're a stamping challenge so no digi stamps are allowed.

I've used papers and die cuts from Craftwork cards along with some gorgeous Christmas stamps from Flonzcraft to make my card. I've cut some slits in the backing paper to pop my topper in - I didn't want to cover up the corners on this gorgeous paper lol. I've used kraft card to mat and layer everything and added lots of distressing with Gathered Twigs distress ink.

I've used three stamps from Christmas Songs (which you can find here) for this card. I stamped them with Memento Rich Cocoa ink onto dictionary paper and added some colour with Lyra Polycolour pencils. I've also highlighted the Christmas tree with lots of stickles and a little glamour dust too.

I've added red seambinding, some reindeer trim and a little brass charm. To finish off i've added lots of die cuts, a couple of sentiments and some card candi from Craftwork Cards.

Use a die cut at Flonzcraft Vintage Stamping Challenges

Hello there, its time for a new challenge over at Flonzcraft Vintage Stamping Challenges and this month our theme is 'Use a die cut'. You don't have to make a vintage themed project to play along, just follow the theme and remember to use either a rubber/clear stamp as no digistamps are allowed. Anything goes at Vintage Stamping Challenges

Good morning folks, we've got a nice easy challenge for you over at Vintage Stamping Challenges for August as our theme is 'Anything Goes'. I've made a Slider Easel card using one of my favourite Gibson girl stamps from Flonzcraft. The card blank is from Which Craft and the papers are freebies from my stash. I've done lots of distressing with Old Paper and Walnut Stain Distress Ink and added lace, ribbon, paper flowers and a metal butterfly embellie. I've secured the ribbon to pull the slider with a little pearl brad.

Hot Sunny Colours at Vintage Stamping Challenges

Hello folks, well can you believe June is here already? Its been so cold here it certainly doesn't seem like summer but we're bringing you some sunshine with our new challenge at Vintage Stamping Challenges where our theme is 'Hot Sunny Colours'. You don't have to make a vintage project to enter, just follow the challenge theme but we are a stamping challenge so no digistamps are allowed. Our lucky winner will receive a generous $20 voucher to spend at  Flonzcraft so its well worth playing along with us. For my DT card I've used 'Girl on a Windy Hill' from Flonzcraft, stamped with distress ink and coloured with Derwent pencils. I die cut the image with a spellbinders die and distressed the edges with scattered straw distress ink.

I made the background using various shades of yellow and orange distress ink, splodged on my craft mat and misted with water before swooshing my card through the inky mess. I added faux stitching with a White Graph'It Shake pen and then to finish off I've used ribbon, lace, paper flowers, a metal butterfly embossed with shabby White Frantage powder, some faux pearls and a couple of die cut swirls.

Shabby Chic at Vintage Stamping Challenges

I've created a little wall hanging for my DT project using a couple of my favourite Flonzcraft stamps

Ocean Cruise Ship Liner and one of the Gibson Girls. I stamped with Memento Tuxedo black on kraft cardstock and then coloured the scene with my panpastels.

I cut a frame from greyboard and crackled it with acrylic paint and then stamped the wording using stamps from Dreamees. I added a string flower topped with a button and a little twine bow and added some little union jack buttons.

Spring colours at Vintage Stamping Challenges

Good morningfolks I'm a week late with my DT project for Flonzcraft Vintage Stamping Challenges but you've still got loads of time to play along with our Spring colours challenge as it lasts until the end of the month so don't miss your chance to win a fabby voucher for stamps from Flonzcraft. We are a stamping challenge though so don't forget you need to use rubber/ clear stamps to enter, digi stamps aren't allowed!

I began by making some background with distress ink, Clarity stencils and my gelli plate. I stamped the Flonzcraft Silhouette on the smaller background and then distressed them with a craft knife and tea dye (of course lol) before layering on kraft cardstock.  I stamped some gorgeous images using Crafty Individuals stamps, coloured them with distress markers and cut them out before layering them up over the image and a little frill made from a doily. I've added some ribbon, pearls, a little rose and a sentiment stamped on a scrap of backing paper. The sentiment reads 'Eat cake and be merry' and is from Chocolate Baroque, I thought it would be perfect for this little tea party scene.

Summer Days at Vintage Stamping Challenges

Good morning my lovelies, can you believe its August already? I must be getting old as this year is going by so quickly! Its time for our new challenge at Vintage Stamping Challenges and this month our theme is 'Summer Days', you don't have to create a vintage project - just follow the theme and make sure that stamping is the focus of your project and you'll be in with a chance of winning a fabby $20 voucher for Flonzcraft! 

I've made an easel card for my DT offering, using one of the lovely Gibson Girl stamps from Flonzcraft. I made my base card from kraft card and stamped the lady on a smaller square of kraft, adding a background of sea and sky using PanPastels, (you can find a tutorial for quick and easy clouds using PanPastels here). This time I added some extra white to the clouds and the waves with a white Graph'It Shake pen (I just scribbled the pen on my craft sheet and applied it with my finger, I'm such a scruff lol)

I coloured the image with pencils and added some stamps cut from a Graphic 45 paper, some twine and a little brass charm

 

The base of the easel card has been decorated with more Graphic 45 papers and embellies and some more twine. I've distressed all the edges with a craft knife and some walnut stain distress ink and layered everything up withh 3d foam pads.

Summer Blooms at Vintage Stamping challenges

Good morning friends, can you believe its June already? Goodness me I dont know where this year is going. Our theme at Flonzcraft Vintage stamping challenges this month is 'Summer Blooms', you don't have to make a vintage project to enter as long as you follow the theme and make sure that stamping is the focus of your project. As always our lucky winner will receive a $20 voucher from Flonzcraft and there are some gorgeous stamps to choose from!

I've coloured one of the gorgeous Gibson Girls from Flonzcraft with pencils, die cut with nesties and layer her up on some kraft card The backing paper is from Pion Design as is the paper I've used to make the flowers (using a Britannia Rose Die) I've added lace, pearls, ribbon topped with one of my favourite iridescent flower buttons and I've also added some memory box die cuts,  in the polka dot paper and in kraft I've used a teeny tiny bit of  Seedless Preserves DI to distress all the edges

Ribbons and Bows at Flonzcraft Vintage Stamping Challenges

Good morning folks, we've got a brand new challenge starting at Flonzcraft Vintage Stamping Challenges and this month our theme is 'Ribbons and Bows' chosen by the lovely Shirley. As always we want to see stamping as the focus of your project but it doesn't have to be vintage. Our lucky winner will receive a fab prize, a $20 voucher from Flonzcraft.

Apologies for such a dark photo, I'll never make a photographer that is for certain lol. I've used an old technique that I'd forgotten about until my lovely CB teamie Miranda created a gorgeous card using her version of this technique (you can see it here). I've used  a sentiment from my stash die cut and embossed with spellbinders and added this cheeky little lady from Flonzcraft, she's called Laughing Baby Girl and you can find her here. I've coloured her with Graph'It markers and fussy cut her, popping her up on foam tape.

To finish off I've added lace, seam binding, a button topped with a twine bow and some little faux pearls to finish off.

Good morning, Monday again and we've got a new challenge starting at Flonzcraft Vintage Stamping Challenges and this month we have a nice easy theme 'Anything Goes'. We are a stamping challenge though so we do need to see rubber/clear stamping on your project, it doesn't have to be vintage though. I've made a shaped easel card with a distress inky/stencilled background overstamped with a flourish from Indigo Blu. The focal image is from the 'Little Lady' set from Flonzcraft which you can find here. I've coloured the image with Graph'It markers and die cut with a spellbinders die, layered up over another die cut coloured with distress ink and I've used a Clarity corner stamp to add a bit of interest in the corners.

I've made a little tag for the bottom of the easel, again using lots of distress inks and used a sentiment from Chocolate Baroque. I've added some paper roses made with Britannia dies, some pretty lace and a green seam binding bow. The little nest was from the pound shop, I took the eggs out and coloured them with Graph'It markers. To finish off I've done some faux stitching around the edges with a white Graph'It Shake pen and added some little pearls

Just for you at Flonzcraft Vintage Stamping challenges

Good morning (if a Monday morning can be good lol), I seem to have blinked and missed the weekend, I can't believe I'm back at work today. I'd much rather stay at home with my fur babies and craft but needs must I suppose. We've got a new challenge at Flonzcraft Vintage Stamping Challenges and I have chosen our theme this month, I picked 'Just for you' so its time to make something for yourself! We always seem to be making cards and stuff for other people so I thought this would be a fun challenge theme. As always our generous sponsor Flonzcraft have a generous $20 voucher for our lucky winner and of course there is always the honour of the 'Highly Desirables' badge so I do hope you're going to play along.

I've altered a little magnetic notebook for my DT project, I made one for my MIL at Christmas so this was a good excuse to make one for myself and to use some pretty spring colours too. The stamp is, of course from Flonzcraft, coloured with Graph'It Markers and I've paper pieced her dress. The papers and diecut flowers are all from Craftwork Cards, the papers have been distressed with a little vintage photo distress ink and a craft knife.

To finish off i've stamped some bunting using freebie stamps from a magazine and added die cuts, lace, ribbon and pearls

Its a man thing at Vintage Stamping Challenges

Good morning my lovelies, I seem to have blinked and missed the weekend as Monday morning  has sneaked up on me and I'm rushing off to work again. Before I go though, here's my project for our new challenge at Flonzcraft Vintage Stamping Challenges where our theme is 'Its a man thing'

I've used a shaped card from Craftwork cards, I just love these cards. The background was made with distress inks in Tumbled Glass, Broken China, and Tea Due with a wee bit of frayed burlap/ I stamped the boat (from Flonzcraft can you believe you get all these gorgeous stamps for less than £7?? You can find them here)

I stamped the main image on a scrap of card that I'd used to mop up the last of my background inks and then made a frame by die cutting some grey board and sticking some card candi to it and then I set to with lots of Maimeri acrylic paints and then WOW embossing powders to create a rusty porthole and layered it up over a scrap of cheesecloth that I'd dyed with more distress ink

To finish off I added some little shells, some string tied in a nautical knot and a tiny anchor charm.

Lavender and Lace at Flonzcraft Vintage Stamping Challenges

Good morning folks, hope you had  good weekend, I have a lovely crafty time and even better I've got this week off work so I can play in my craft room! My project this morning is for our new challenge at Flonzcraft Vintage Stamping Challenge where our theme is 'Lavender and Lace'. I love this theme, sooooo pretty! Who can resist Lavender and Lace? Not me thats for sure lol.

I've made a little shaped card using a cardblank from Craftwork cards. I inked with various purpley distress inks and then stamps the background stamp (from Chocolate Baroque, Fancy Flourishes) with Imperial Purple Versafine Ink. 

The focal image is of course from Flonzcraft, this stamp is from a set called Little Lady, its jam packed with supercute stamps and for less that £4 you really can't go wrong. Iv'e coloured the image with Graph'It Markers and die cut with spellbinders. I inked the edge of the die cut and then ran a gold krylon pen around the edge of the oval/

I layered the image up over some floral lace and some lavender seam binding ribbon.

Next I made some roses with the Britannia rose die and added some paper flowers from my stash with some pearl trim loops and a little butterfly which I'd painted with gesso and highlighted with gold pen. I added a bow and another rose to the top of the image to finish off.

Traditional Christmas at Flonzcraft Vintage Stamping Challenges

Good morning, where did the weekend go? I can't believe its Monday already and its November too!! Eek it'll soon be Christmas and with that in mind we've got a Traditional Christmas theme at Flonzcraft Vintage Stamping Challenges. You don't have to make a vintage project, just a traditional Christmas project: a card,tag, altered art project ... what ever you fancy. As always my lovely teamies have created some amazing projects to inspire you and of course there is a fab prize of a $20 voucher from our sponsor Flonzcraft!

For my DT project I'ave made a little wall hanging using MDF hearts that I painted with pale blue acrylic paint . I stamped the images, both from Flonzcraft and the sentiment which is from Chocolate Baroque on whhite card using sepia versafine and glued them to the hearts, next I then smothered the hearts with Kroma Crackle. Once it was dry, I gave it a coat of Maimeri Matte Gel and sprinkled over a layer of glamour dust, the sparkle doesn't show up too well but you can see the gorgeous crackle better in this pic

I edged the hearts with tea dye distress ink and then a little treasure gold. I added lots of embellies, some glittered die cut snowflakes, ribbons, buttons, bows, die cut kraft holly vines, a kraft reindeer and some tattered pine cones too. Once everthing was dry I used my hot glue gun to fix the hearts together.

Feminine Beauty at Flonzcraft Vintage Stamping Challenges

Good morning my lovelies, I've got my mardy cardi on this morning as I was meant to be on leave this week but I've got to go in for a couple of days boooooo!! Anyway enough of my moaning, as its the first Monday of the month, we've got a new challenge at Vintage Stamping Challenges and this time our theme is Feminine Beauty. As always we've got a fab prize from our generous sponsor Flonzcraft so ink up those stamps and play along! For my dt project I've used a shaped card from Which Craft? and some gorgeous Prima papers. I've stamped the focal image on some patterened paper and layered it up on a sizzix die cut. Isn't she a stunner? She's from Flonzcraft (of course) and she's been embossed with Black ep and I've added some tiny pearls for a necklace. I got a bit carried away using these scrummy papers and added some more in the form of rolled paper roses. I also added some pretty lace, red seam binding ribbon and a little eiffel tower charm. The  sentiment is cut from one of the papers, I thought it was perfect with my lovely Flonzcraft lady.

Wings and Things at Vintage Stamping Challenges

Good morning my lovelies,  Monday morning again and we've got a new challenge startiing at Vintage Stamping  Challenges, this month our theme is 'Wings and Things' and as always there's a fab prize from our generous sponsor Flonzcraft. You don't have to make a vintage project to enter although we are a stamping challenge so no digis allowed.

I bought a fab kit to make a ribbon flower at Summer Craftiing and although it was a bit of a scary prospect for someone who is rubbish at sewing, it was actually pretty easy to make. You can see them here at the Ribbon Box. I popped a brooch back on the flower and decided to make a tag to display it. I've used some of my favourite stamps from Flonzcraft, the set is called 'Flower Kingdom' and its a real bargain at only $5.99! I 've coloured the images with Graph'it markers and added a cloudy sky with PanPastels. :

I've added lace, ribbon and a gorgeous flowery button tied with some bakers twine from my stash. The butterfly charm is from The Ribbon Girl and to finish off I've added some pearly swirls around the edges of the tag. Here's another pic of the ribbon flower.

Pretty in pink inspiration at VSC

Good morning, well as good as it can be for a Monday when work is beckoning me, yuk!! Today's card is an inspiration project for our 'Pretty in Pink" Challenge at Vintage Stamping Challenges. There are still a few days left to enter and be in with a chance to win a fab prize from our sponsor Flonzcraft. You don't have to create a vintage project to enter but we do want to see some rubber stamping :-)

I've used a distress ink background, made with cream cardstock and overstamped with an Indigo Blu honeycomb stamp. The image is from Flonzcraft, coloured with Graph'It Markers and die cut with nesties. I've used kraft card to mat and layer and I've added some seam binding, a paper rose from Wild Orchid Crafts and some gorgeous lace from the Ribbon Girl. To finish off I've popped some faux pearls in three of the corners and a filigree corner at the the top.
