Anything goes at NMWC

Hello my lovelies, and a big warm welcome to my new followers :-) I hope you're having a good weekend and enjoying the sunshine. We've got a new challenge starting at No Matter Which Challenges and its a nice easy one for you, the theme is 'Anything goes' but sadly its our last challenge .

We're going out in style though as there is a fab prize for our lucky winner, a $10 gift certificate from our lovely sponsors at Sweet Stamps.

I've used an image and papers from the Cherryblossom Lane CD by Polka Doodles, I adore this cd! I've made quite a few cards and I had a heap of scraps so I used them to create the background and to make the roses. The image is coloured with Graph'it Markers.

Ive added a cute little ticket sentiment from the same cd and some die cut swirls, some little heart shaped pearls and some ribbon.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
CRAFT: Here comes the bride
Creative Fingers: anything goes
Incy Wincy: summer lovin
Stamp with fun: Celebrate

My teamies have come up with some gorgeous projects for our last challenge so do pop over and check them out. Thank so much for popping by today,

Things with wings at NMWC

Good afternoon folks, hope your bank holiday weekend has got off to a good start. The weather is a bit iffy here but at least its not snowing so I shouldn't complain lol. We've got a new challenge starting over at No Matter Which Challenges and this month our theme is 'Things with Wings' .

This month our lucky winner will receive a fab prize from My Creative Classroom so pop on over to the challenge blog and find out more, while you're there check out my teamies fab projects too as they are soooo talented! I've done a couple of courses with My Creative Classroom and they have been fab, so don't miss out on a chance to win.

Anyway back to my project, I've used a cog clock from Indigo Blu, primed with gesso and then created a background with acrylic paints in pastels colours. I stamped the flowers and butterflies, masking as I went along to create a circle around the clock and then masked them all to stamp the numbers. I've stamped the numbers and the cog design in the centre with Flitter Glu and gilded them with Royal Peacock gilding flames (the hands of the clock also got the same treatment.

I coloured the flowers with Promarkers and then used Broken China distress ink and a water brush around the flowers to give them a bit of dimension. You can see the detail a bit better in this pic:

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:
Crafts and Me: floral frenzy
Creative Corner: flowers
Natalie and Amy's : things with wings
The Cupboard Trilogy: Spring flowers
Totally Papercrafts: don't be square
Unruly Paperarts: 5 or more flowers

Saturday night is my night for putting my feet up in front of the TV, I think I must be getting old as  few years ago you'd never have caught me staying in on a Saturday night lol

Anyway back to my project, i've used a cute Bildmalarna (so hard to spell but such adorable stamps lol) stamp from Live and Love Crafts coloured with promarkers and cut with sizzix dies.

I've made a door hanger using an MDF blank from Joanna Sheen, I created a brick effect background using a Crafters Workshop Template, Maimeri Light Modelling paste and my PanPastels. I painted the centre panel with acrylic paint and added the letters (cut with my Cricut).

Anything goes at No Matter Which Challenges

Hello blogland buddies, March already ... where does the time go? Its actually starting to feel like Spring is on the way in my little corner of the world, the sun is shining and the crocuses and snowdrops are looking so pretty. Shame the rest of the garden looks so sad but hopefully everything will soon start to grow again. Anyway its time for our March challenge at No Matter Which Challenges, our theme is a nice easy one 'Anything Goes' and this month we are sponsored by the fabulous Kenny K and the DT have all been lucky enough to work with some fun Kenny K images!

I've made a door hanger using a wooden blank which I've painted with black and hot pink acrylic paints, creating a crackle effect with PVA glue. I coloured the image with Graph'It markersand added some lace and ribbon from my stash. The sentiment was computer generated and die cut with nesties. I've added a black seam binding bow, a paper rose from Wild Orchid Crafts and popped a black button at the top. Here's a better pic of the image:

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:
Craft us Crazy: anything goes
Crafty ribbons: anything goes with ribbon
Crafts and Me: dies/punches
Hotshot Crafts: anything but a card
One Crazy Stamper: anything goes

Well as its a lovely sunny day I'm venturing out to a local craft fair and hopefully Mr Blogger will play nicely and post this for me. I don't seem to have been anywhere but work and walking the dogs for ages as the weather has been so dreadful so I'm looking forward to an afternoon out and possibly a nice slice of chocolate cake or something equally scrummy!
thanks for visiting today, hope you're having a good weekend

Die cuts/punches at No Matter Which Challenges

Hi there, wow we were chuffed to bits to see so many gorgeous entries for our first challenge at
No Matter Which Challenges, can you believe its September already so that means its time for a new challenge. This time we want to see die cuts and/or punches used on your projects.

Suzanne has arranged some fab sponsors and this months winner certainly won't be disappointed as the prize up for grabs is a free place on one of the courses at My Creative Classroom! I've done quite a few of their courses and they are fab-u-lous :-)
Anyway back to my DT project, I've made a Christmas card (not long now eeeek) using one of my favourite Whiff of Joy stamps, watercoloured with distress markers and die cut with spellbinders. The backing paper was made with moonshadow inks and has a lovely shimmer in real life. I've added some scraps of backing papers from my Christmas box and some crinoline fabric (from Linda at The Funkie Junkie) stamped with a stampers anonymous music score stamp with walnut stain distress ink. You can see the image better in this pic:

I've added lots of die cuts (Marianne poinsettias and fir branch, tattered pine cones and foliage. To finish off I've added cotton lace, ribbon, a tiny brass bell, a little metal corner and some faux pearls in the corners.

I'm entering this one in the following challenges:

Amusing Challenge: anything goes
(mine is peeping out between the two pine cones)
Fairy Tale: anything metal
