Anything Goes at We Love 2 Create

Good morning my lovelies, well Christmas is getting nearer so for our new challenge over at We Love 2 Create I've made another Christmas card using my PanPastels. You can make whatever you like though as our theme is 'Anything Mixed Media/Creative Goes'. We've got some lovely crafty stash for our lucky winners thanks to our sponsors Premium Craft Brands and you don't even have to use our products to enter!

I stamped the little scene using some of my favourite Andy Skinner stamps and then coloured the scene using my Pans (you can find links to the colours used at the end of the post.

The sentiment is a stamp from Chocolate Baroque, stamped in black. I didn't add any ribbon or embellies to this one, just lots of glitter but you can't see that in the pic.

Winter Wonderland at PanPastel UK

Good morning my lovelies, hows your weekend going? Christmas is sneaking up on us very quickly so my project today is another Christmas card - its my DT offering for Premium Craft Brands PanPastel Challenge and our theme is 'Winter Wonderland' with a colour palette of metallics plus one other colour - I've used just white, silver and pewter PanPastels to create this little scene.

I've used some grey pastel mat to create this little scene. I began by creating the moon and sky with white silver and pewter PanPastels. Next I added the snow with silver PanPastel and stamped in the images with Andy Skinner Stamps and Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Next I added some 'drifts' to the snow with white PanPastel and added some white to the roof of the house and the tree branches. then I used the corner of a Sofft sponge to add the shadows and lastly, a little sparkle with a Graph'It Glitter Shake pen in silver

Here's another pic, a bit of a weird angle but I was trying to catch the frosty sparkle

A Musical Challenge at Fashionable Stamping Challenges

Hello and a big warm welcome to my new followers :-) HEre's my card for our new challenge over  at Fashionable Stamping Challenges where our theme of 'Musical' has been chosen by my lovely teamie Esther.As always our lucky winner will receive a voucher for Cottage Crafts from our generous sponsor Marina, and of course we want to see some rubber stamping. 

I've made a Christmas card with a musical theme. I began by stamping a music stamp on to a cream card blank with vintage photo distress ink and then used the same ink to distress the edges. The next layer is card covered with Tim's music tissue, scrunched up and coloured with distress stains with some faux stitching round the edges. I've added a pretty doily from my stash coloured with distress ink and glimmer mist. The sentiment is from Chocolate Baroque, embossed with brown EP and  layered up over a lattice diecut. The angel is also a Chocolate Baroque stamp from the same themeplate which is now discontinued. I've stamped her with memento ink and coloured her with promarkers, adding glamour dust to her wings for some sparkle. You can see her a bit better in this pic:

To finish off I've added faux pearls, a pale blue seam binding bow and a little brass angel charm.

Anything goes at PanPastels

Woo hoo, our first challenge at PanPastel UK Challenge Blog and our first challenge is a really easy one for you: Anything Goes! There is a fab prize of a PanPastel trial pack up for grabs from our generous sponsor 'Your Creativity Store'. I was soooooo excited to be chosen for the PanPastel DT as I'd been itching to have a play with such an exciting new product and I've got to say they are a-ma-zing!  I'm still very much a beginner but i'm looking forward to sharing my journey into PanPastel Land with you lol.

Here' is my first DT project, I wanted to create a misty winter scene and set to copying a pic from a Christmas card. I started by covering the card with White PanPastel and then added the sky, using streaks of  Red Iron Oxide, Dairylide Yellow and black. I then blended it all with more white using a Sofft right angle slice. The tools for applying PanPastels are wonderfully squidgy and the colours blend beautifully. 

I added more black to create the shape of the houses using a Sofft knife with a pointed cover and ....now comes the good bit lol. To create the houses I just rubbed the PanPastel out where i wanted the snowy roof to be! I'm thoroughly over excited about the fact that you can use an eraser with PanPastels, its so much easier than masking and also means you can create so many different effects. I added the 'river' with more black PanPastel and then added detail with stamps.

The spruce trees in the background were made with Clarity stamps, and I actually used black PanPastel to stamp them. For the trees in the foreground and the birds I used stamps from Andy Skinner and Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I've found dye ink much better for stamping on PanPastel backgrounds than Versafine or Stazon as they seem to disappear into the background. To add to the frosty feel of the scene I added glamour dust to the tree branches and foliage in the foreground.

To finish off I've matted the scene on yellow card, then charcoal grey card and added some sparkly silver foliage, wooden and silver berries and some grey organza ribbon.
