Cold and Frosty Colours inspiration at PanPastel UK

Good morning my lovelies, its a very dull and dark morning here and life is still a bit too hectic but better late than never i'm here with my DT project for our Cold and Frosty Colours inspiration post at PanPastel UK. As always there is a fab prize up for grabs from those lovely peeps at Premium Craft Brands so I hope you're going to join us.

I've altered a picture frame from the pound shop by applying Maimeri White Gesso and then adding Silver and Antique Silver Maimeri Acrylic paints and brushing over some Black Coarse Pearl PanPastel Medium. I've added a hint of colour to the image with Pearlescent PanPastels and used Glassy Gel and Fine White Pearl Medium to give a frosty sparkle here and there. I've used a mix of water and Maimeri Gloss Gel Medium in a spritzer bottle to seal the PanPastels

The image is from Delicious Doodles.
I'm entering this project in the following challenges

Allsorts: No designer papers
Altered Eclectics: anything altered
Delicious Doodles: Traditional Christmas

Thanks for popping by today

Fancy Frills at Graph'It Colouring Challenge

Good morning folks, I don't know about making cards I think we should be building an arc as it's been raining all week. We're forecast for some better weather over the weekend though so fingers crossed. We've got a new challenge starting at Graph'It Colouring challenge and this time our theme is 'Fancy Frills' so a good excuse to make a pretty girly card to be in with a chance of winning gorgeous Graph'It goodies from Premium Craft Brands I've coloured this beautiful image which I was lucky enough to win a couple of weeks ago, she's from Delicious Doodles and is printed on Ultimate Graphic 160gsm card. Finding the perfect colouring card is a bit of a nightmare but this stuff is by far the best I've tried, love it (you can find it here)

I've used backing paper from Tim Holtz, distressed with a craft knife and a little Walnut Stain distress ink I used red line tape and cosmic shimmer glue to create my ribbon and lace frills and then added some pretty pearly trim to make sure nothing falls off lol.

The image is coloured with my Graph'It markers, you can find a full list of colours over on the Challenge blog. I've also used my White Graph'It shake pen to create the polka dots on her top.

I've gone to town with embellishments, adding flowers, acetate butterflies, beaded pins, button and bow, faux pearls and even a little butterfly peg.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Artistic Inspirations: Things with wings
Created with Love: lots of layers
In the pink: shabby chic/vintage
Try it on Tuesday: Feminine and Fancy
Whoopsi Daisy: lots of layers

Thanks so much for visiting today, hope to see you again soon

Winter Postbox

Good morning folks, its never to early to make a start on Christmas cards lol. I've used a gorgeous image called 'Winter Postbox' from Delicious Doodles for this card.

I've coloured the image with derwent inktense pencils and added lots of glitter, although it doesn't show up in the pic. The background was made simply by stamping a Chocolate Baroque snowflake stamp on some white card. I've used red, white and black card to mat and layer and added some black seam binding, a red button (it is red honest, it just hasn't shown up in the pic) and some bakers twine to embellish the card.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Christmas at Sweet Stampin: Cold and frosty
Craft A Scene: Snowy Cottage Scene
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas challenge: Recycle or use something free (the image was a prize)
Delicious Doodles: Winter theme

It looks a bit like the image on this card outside today as we've got a good covering of snow and its has frozen overnight so no doubt I'll be slipping and sliding on my way to the bus stop.
Have a lovely crafty day

OTT Bling Bling at Cowgirl Up

Happy Halloween! I've had a really happy blogging week this week, I was over the moon to be featured on Inspirational Craft Blogs - what an honour, I'm still on cloud 9!! And I've also been in the top 3 at Moving Along with the Times AND Sir Stampalot!! I'll be doing a happy dance all day lol. Anyway todays card is my DT card for this weeks challenge from the posse at Cowgirl's Sunday Stamp'en Challenge, where our theme is 'Over the top BLING BLING!'

We have a fabulous sponsor again this week, Delicious Doodles, Teri's images are gorgeous and the winner will receive a fab prize from the Delicious Doodles store!!

The Top 3 will get a prize from CJ at Cowgirl Up Designs and of course the winner and top 3 will get the badges for their blogs too.

I was given a beautiful image from Delicious Doodles for my card this week, I love this image and although the theme is over the top bling I really wanted the image to be the focal point of this card. The image is coloured with promarkers and I added some irridescent yellow seed beads and a little glitter to the centre of the water lily. The sentiment is from Hero Arts, i stamped it directly onto the card and then drew the sqaure frame with a fine black marker and a ruler. To add some OTT Bling, I used some flat backed gems i got from the pound shop around the frame.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Craft your Passion: Glitter and Sparkles
Papertake: Sparkly and Bright
Aud Sentiments: Thank you
Fab'n'Funky: Clean and Simple
Paper Pretties: Make a square
Totally Papercrafts: Bling it on
Craft Your Days Away: All white (use colour only on main image)

Thanks for visiting, I'm looking forward to seeing you OTT Bling! I hope you remembered to put your clock back an hour if you're in the UK. Hubby altered ours but I forgot to alter my phone and bedside clock so I'm still a bit confused (but thats nothing new lol)

Cowgirl's Sunday Stamp'en Challenge - Hip NOT to be square :-)

Another Sunday and another  challenge over at Cowgirl's Sunday Stamp'en Challenge, this week the theme is 'Hip not to be square', we want to see your shaped cards (anything but a square or rectangle). Once again we have a wonderful sponsor - Delicious Doodles!! Some of the DT got digistamps from Delicious Doodles to work with for this weeks challenge and I was lucky enough to get this gorgoeus lily!! I love flowers and have lots of lilies in my garden so I've really enjoyed colouring this beautiful image.

I've made an octagonal easel card. The shape was an easy one to do as I found a pack of tri-fold shaped cards I got ages ago from Joanna Sheen. I cut one of the octagons off to decorate and made the base of the easel card from the rest of the card. I'd totally forgot I'd got these card blanks there are loads of different shapes from tags to perfume bottles etc.

The background is made using a resist technique - I stamped a sketchy bow all around the card base and the easel and embossed with clear EP. I then coloured the card with assorted starburst stains and glimmer mists. I embossed the edges with gold EP. The doily is coloured with pearl glimmer mists, unfortunately the glimmer isn't showing up in the pic. The beautiful lillies are coloured with promarkers and attached with silicone for some dimensions. The butterflies and ivory ribbon are from my stash. The ticket sentiment reads 'Special Friend' and is from Crafty Ann's

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Crafts and Me: Easel Cards
Corrosive Challenge: Clean up the dust
Cute Card Thursday: Tweet and a flutter (no tweets lol but a couple of fluttery little butterflies)
Stamp Something: Digi day
Lots to Do: Monochrome

Check out my teamies blogs for some fab inspirational shaped cards, some are using gorgeous images from CJs shop Cowgirl's Digital Stamp'en Ranch. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with for this weeks challenge. You don't want to miss out on the chance to win a fab prize from Delicious Doodles, and don't forget the Top 3 get  a prize and a badge for their blogs too!!

Thanks for looking, I hope you are having a good Sunday. Horrible rainy weather here so I think an afternoon in front of the TV with my promarkers sounds a good idea :-)
