Anything Creative/Mixed Media Goes at We Love 2 Create

Hi again, we've got a new challenge starting at We Love 2 Create and as usual we're keeping it nice and easy with a theme of Anything Creative/Mixed Media goes. Our lucky winner will receive a fab prize from our lovely sponsors Premium Craft brands and you don't have to use our products to enter so I hope you're going to join us! I've used Stampbord ATCs and a ginormous tag to create this project.

The tag was recycled as I'd started stencilling the bricks on it for another project but never finished it so I just applied Black Pearl PanPastel medium over the top and then highlighted the bricks with a little silver PanPastel.

To create the stampbord ATCs I applied more a layer of Phthalo Blue Shade and then a layer of Black Coarse Pearl Medium. Next I did lots of stamping with versmark using some of my favourite stamps from Premium Craft Brands, the versamark lifts some of the colour from the Stampbord creating a lighter image. Once I'd finished stamping I took my Stampbord tools and scratched lots of highlights to the stamped images.

Then it was back to the versamark but this time I stamped with versamark and embossed with a WOW Mercury Grey EP to create the sparkly stars, I also edged the ATCs with the same embossing powder.

The words were made using some stickers that I've had for ages, I swiped them with versamark and coloured with Silver Pans and added a star that I'd embossed for some extra sparkle.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:

Altered Eclectics: Anything goes
As You Like It: Anything goes
Crafty Time: make it sparkle

Thanks for popping by today, hope to see you again soon

Anything Mixed Media/Creative Goes at We Love 2 Create

Good morning my lovelies, its inspiration time over at We Love 2 Create and you've still got a whole week to be in with a chance of winning some gorgeous goodies from Premium Craft Brands. Its a nice easy theme, 'Anything Creative/Mixed Media Goes' and as always my teamies have created some beautiful artwork to inspire you. I've altered an mdf birdhouse for my DT offering. I just love the blues in the PanPastel range, they are soooooo pretty!

I've used white gesso to prime the mdf and then got busy with lots of Ultramarine Blue Tint PanPastel and a little ultramarine blue and some White Coarse PanPastel medium which is lovely and shimmery in real life. I've used a background stamp from Chocolate Baroque, stamped with versamark and dusted with Ultramarine Blue PanPastel.  I've also added some stencilling for a little texture, using a flower stencil and texture paste coloured with more Ultramarine Blue PanPastel.

To decorate the birdhouse, I've stamped the butterfly, from the Premium Art Brands 'Postcard' stamp set and some Dreamees flowers with versamark and dusted with my PanPastels. I cut everything out and arranged it on the birdhouse, adding some glitter glue to the centre of the flowers. I've added some Pewter PanPastels around all the edges and decorated the roof with some lace, ribbon and a metal filigree butterfly.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:
Altered Eclectics: anything goes
Brown Sugar: anything but a card
Crafty Time: anything but a card
Petal Lu: anything goes
Wags'n'Whiskers: glitter/sparkle

Thanks so much for popping by today, hope to see you again soon

Acetate Angelberry card

Good morning folks, its my last day at work as i've got a long weekend off yippppppeeee. At last i'm getting into the Christmas spirit so tomorrow I'll be putting up the decorations and I suppose I really should get some Christmas shopping done too lol. Today's card is a little scene made using digis from the gorgeous PolkaDoodles CD Angelberry Christmas, I just love this cd!

I made the scene in publisher, printed it off and coloured with Graph'It markers adding some glitter and gems although they don't show up too well on the pic. I matted the image on the back of the card and added an acetate panel to the front, you need to use strong acetate for this or it goes all wobbly -not good! I added the die cut border at the bottom to strengthen it and I'm quite pleased with the result. To finish off I added a seam binding bow, a sparkly button and some bakers twine.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Glitter 'n' sparkle: show us some blue
Incy Wincy: Let it snow
Joanna Sheen: make it sparkle
Paper Playtime: winter fun
Ribbon Girl: ho ho ho Christmas
Sweet Pea Stampers: its cold outside

Thanks so much for visiting today,

Gecko Galz Guest Artist: Christmas decorations

Good morning folks, my last day at work before 5 days off yippppeeeeee! Today I'm sharing a project made as part of my Guest Artist spot at Gecko Galz, I fell in love with these gorgeous images from the scrummy new Holiday Jewel Its  and thought they would make wonderful Christmas decorations.

I love to make altered microscope slides and the images from the Holiday Jewel Its really captured my imagination. I used Maimeri Glassy gel to adhere the images to the slide, the images were slightly smaller than the slides so I backed them with some white card stamped with tiny snowflakes from the Winter Spruce stamp set by Premium Art Brands. I swiped the edges of the slides with versamark and added silver embossing powder to seal them. I added little crow charms at the top with some narrow red ribbon to hang the decorations. At the bottom, I attached some metal filigree corners and then added some charms, silver bells and beads from my stash

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:
ABC Christmas: transparent
Christmas at Sweet Stampin: Santa Claus
4 Crafty Girlz: anything goes
