Feathers

Hi there folks, I'm sneaking in with a last minute entry for the Craft Stamper Take it Make it challenge where we've been challenged to use white stamping.

Its always sad when you have to make a sympathy card isn't it? This one is for my dear neighbour who lost her husband last week. He was a lovely man who always had time to stop and chat and he was such a help with all his gardening tips, I'll really miss him :-(
This was a very quick ccard made using some free stamps, a solid feather and a detailed feather. I began by stamping the solid feather in Memento Grey Flannel here and there on the cardstock. Once the ink was dry I overstamped with the detailed feather using Versamark ink and embossed with white detail EP. Next I added some distress ink in Iced Spruce, I love this colour as its just like a chameleon and takes on the tones around it! I used a Clarity stencil brush to apply the ink around the edges and then brushed out from the feathers to create some shadows. The sentiment was also a freebie, stamped with Black archival ink.

I'm also entering this card in the following challenges:

Cards Galore Encore: anything goes
Sisters of Craft: anything goes
Sparkles Forum: anything goes
STAMPlorations: stamps and ink
Sweet Stamps: something new

Thanks for visiting today
Claire xx
