Good morning my lovelies, Monday morning so its back to work for me but before I go here's my entry for this month's challenge at Indigo Blu where the theme is 'Words and Phrases'
I've used a set of 3 folk art hearts which i've painted with gesso and coloured with PanPastels before adding Kroma Crackle around the edges. This was the first time i've used Kroma Crackle I just love this stuff, I even got up in the night to see how it was drying lol (I know, how sad am I??)
Anyway once it was dry I highlighted all the crackle with some Renaissancce Treasure gold.
I added some Maimeri Light Modelling Paste through a Crafters Workshop Harlequin template and added colour with PanPastels.
I've used the sentiment from 'Music Hall' and all the other images are from 'Mr Darcy'. I've used Graph'it markers to colour the images. I've added some roses made with watercolour paper, victorian velvet distress ink and liberally sprinkled with rock candy glitter. The leaves are also die cut, coloured with PanPastels and stamped with a music stamp from 'Music hall' and gilded with Morris Dance gilding flakes. The little flowers are some prima ones I've been hoarding but they were the perfect colour for this project so they got a sprinkle of glitter too. The little butterfly is from the Ribbon Girl, given a coat of gesso and some treasure gold. To finish off i've added some pale pink bows with ribbon recycled from the packaging from The Funkie Junkie Boutique (Linda always packages everything beautifully so its like opening a lovely present when my order arrives)
i'm also entering this project in the following challenges:
Crafty Creations: no squares
Hotshot crafts: anything but a card
Penny Black and more: blossoms and bows
One Stop Craft: pastels
Sweet Stampin: pastels
Sweet Stamps: more than one stamped image
the Shabby Tearoom: pretty shabby
Well i'd better tootle off and earn some pennies, hope your week gets off to a good start
thanks for popping by

ReplyDeleteI love this, Claire! The idea of layering the hearts together is terrific! You made me smile about checking the crackle in the night - just the sort of thing I would do. Except I stood on it and got it all over my slipper! This is a beautiful project in every detail,

Gorgeous Claire, awesome design and I appreciate your explanation of the process. A couple of materials I've never heard of, but maybe I can substitute? I have Golden's crackle paste, maybe it would work the same? I think it's wonderful that you are so enthusiastic that you got up in the night to check it out! Cheers, Shirleyxx
