Spots and Dots at PanPastel UK

Good morning folks, goodness me its September already and today's the last day of my holiday but I'm not too downhearted as I've been playing with the gorgeous new metallic PanPastels and omg they are lush! So shimmery and sparkly that they make it really hard to take a decent pic lol. I had to have a play with the new Pans for our new challenge at PanPastel UK this week where our theme is Spots and Dots.  As always our lucky winner will receive a fab PanPastel starter set from the lovely Berni of Your Creativity Store (only for UK winners but there's still the honour of the winners badge wherever you live)

this mask was perfect for the challenge, its a gorgeous stylised peacock mask by Pronty and its available from Your Creativity Store. I began by applying Maimeri Light Modelling Paste onto black card through the maks. Once that was dry I added some colour with ultramarine blue PanPastel, Phthalo Green PanPastel and a little bright Yellow Green. Next I added some of the metallic Pans, I used Copper and Bronze. I added some glossy accents to the spots and dots. Lastly I stamped a peacock feather stamp from Chocolate Baroque around the edges with versamark and dusted over more of the metallic PanPastels. They are such rich and vibrant colours. I matted the image one some peacock blue/green card and then on some more black card edges with versmark and Rich Gold PanPastel. To finish off I added some pretty lace, lime ribbon, a black button and a little dragonfly charm.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:
Crafty Ribbons: anything goes with ribbon
Crazy for Challenges: buttons or bows
Daring Cardmakers: Heavy metal

I hope you're having a good weekend so far, I'm going to be making the most of my last day off work by having a very lazy day with lots of time in my craft room
Thanks for popping by today,
Claire xx

  3. Wowww, those colours are great! I don't have any Pan Pastels yet but keep sneaking around them at conventions... those metallics are amazing and the suit the baroque style of your card superbly. Thanks for playing along with the Daring Cardmakers this week!
