Tussie Mussies at Eclectic Ellapu

Good morning again, my second post of the day and I'm back with a 'Tussie Mussie' to fit the Pink teams theme at Eclectic Ellapu. The purple team have a fab challenge to inspire you so do pop over and check out all the gorgeous projects from my lovely teamies!

I have to confess I'd never heard of a tussie mussie, but good old google came to the rescue and after faffing round cutting different sizes of circles, cutting bits out of circles and generally getting in a bit of  a pickle, I found the easiest way to create my tussie mussie was using an 8x8 square of paper. This brought me out in a cold sweat as I used the very last piece of one of my all time favourite Christmas papers!! Brave or what??
Anyway once I'd sussed out that all I needed to do was join my paper down one edge and I had a cone shape, all I had to do was decorate it. I got to work with die cuts, stamps, lace, ribbon and buttons to create my Christmas themed tussie mussie. I distressed everything with distress ink and used more distress inks to colour my die cuts, adding some script stamping here and there. I made up a couple of tattered pine cones,I love making these :-) to finish off.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:

Crafty Ribbons: anything goes with ribbon
Creative Card Crew: fancy folds
Decorate to Celebrate: anything goes
Fab'n'funky: Christmas
Loves rubber stamps: at least 2 dies
Not just cards: anything goes
Penny's Paper Crafty: anything but a square
Perfectly Rustic: new technique
Simon Says Stamp: anything goes

Thanks for visiting today, hope to see you again soon
