Good morning my lovelies, todays project is for our 'Anything Creative/Mixed Media Goes' at We love 2 Create with Premium Craft Brands. I had loads of fun creating this project
I began by applying texture paste through a Dutch Doobadoo Chicken Wire stencil to my canvas, once that was dry I distressed with Burnt Sienna Shade PanPastel. I played with my Pearlescent PanPastels, colouring up stampbord inchies and then stamping with some of the gorgeous stamps from Premium Craft Brands (you can find links to all the goodies I've used at the end of this post)
I used the inches to create a frame for a piece of a pretty floral napkin that I decoupaged with Maimeri Matte Medium. I added some pretty pearl trim around the frame.
Next I coloured up a load of die cut flowers and leaves and added them to the project, popping pearls in the centres. I stamped and embossed the butterfly stamp from Postcard several times on acetate and had a bit of a happy accident, I used White Pearl WOW EP instead of the opaque white. It looked a bit wishy washy but I found it really picked up the colour of my pearl pans beautifully.
I punched some holes with my cropodile and used seam binding ribbon to hang the project up.
I'm entering this in the following challenges:
Allsorts: more than two die cuts
A Vintage Journey: spring colours
Crafty Ribbons: anything goes with ribbon
Fab'n'Funky: may flowers
Fussy and Fancy: lots of flowers
Papertake Weekly: anything goes
STAMPlorations: stamps and leaves
Thanks so much for visiting today
