technique from the talented Ann's blog here. Acetate is a real horror to get a decent pic but i've done my best lol. I wanted to make a card for this weeks Burtonesque Dolls challenge where the theme is "If Burton were to make a Vampire movie what would the posterboard look like"
Well I haven't got one vampire stamp so i've made this scene with Jessica flying away from some bats (the vampires must be hiding in the trees lol)
Jessical is coloured with promarkers and her wings have a little lime stickles here and there for some extra bling. The gorgeous (if spooky) background is from Raspberry Road Designs. I stamped the acetate with some Elusive Images trees and my favourite bats from Stamp it Crazy and embossed them with Black Magic EP which is really sparkly but doesn't show up too well in the photos. I've attached the acetate to the black base card with dst and added green eyelets and black ribbon.
Here's another pic which shows Ann's card design better:
I'm also entering Jessica in to following challenges:
City Crafter: Shades of Green
Glitterbabes Challenge: The sparklier the better
Paperplay: Card for a child/teenager (this one is for my friends daughters 14th birthday)
Dare you to Digi stamp: The Great Outdoors
Thanks for looking. I can't believe i've had such fab weather for my week off work! I've even done some gardening! I've got a quiet night lined up as hubby and son are going out so it'll just be me and my promarkers lol.

What a fabulous card Claire!
ReplyDeleteYour fairy really looks like she's flying through the spooky woods - and your glittery trees are really effective. Following Ann's idea to add the extra fold in the acetate improves the appearance of the card 100% as the background doesn't look like it's toppling forward especially when viewing it from the front.
Love the addition of ribbon to the top - ideal for hanging on the wall afterwards.
