Cooking it up with Katie - My first DT Card

Katie has come up with a fab recipe this week at Cooking it up with Katie, our challenge is

1. Choose a sketch from another challenge blog

2. Add some yellow

3. Do some stitching (real or faux)

This weeks challenge is sponsored by Meljen's Designs and the DT were lucky enough to be able to use one of Melissa's gorgeous images. I've used 'Little Girl, Bear Hugs'' for this card which is based on a sketch from Crafts for Eternity

The image is coloured with promarkers and masked so I could sponge some clouds in the background. I've added some yellow cuttlebugged card behind the main image. The backing papers are from K&Co. These were also used to make the beaded bunting. I've added a border made from pink velvet ribbon, yellow velvet ribbon and lace from my stash.  There are 2 lots of stitching - faux stitching around the papers and stitching to make the lace and ribbon flower (which has a little yellow pearl brad in the centre).

I'm also entering this card in this months challenge from Crafty Calender which is 'Summer'
