DDTIO Metallic

Here's my tag for this weeks challenge from Frankie at Dragon's Dream Tag It on which is ' 3D Metallic Mode'. I've got to say I struggled a bit with this one Frankie but here'e my finished tag

I started off making a bit of a steampunky tag but got totally sidetracked playing with stampbord and inks. My original tag still isn't finished but I'm quite pleased with my alternative. I've used a Kaleidacolour ink pad (Calypso) to make the background and overstamped with a Creative Expressions collage stamp in the same colours then sprayed it to blend the colours. Next I stamped a crackle background around the edges and a butterfly wing in black. Then the letters and edges were stamped and embossed in gold. The little stamp board square is coloured with the same inks, stamped with the butterfly wing and triple embossed with a little gem added to the hot UTEE. The butterfly is from the same CE themeplate, embossed in gold on acetate and I used variegated gold leaf on the back. I added some more little gems and some rainbow fibres to finish off

Why is whenever I get up really early I end up faffing around in my craft room and make myself late for work lol? Today is no exception so I better get  my skates on and go earn a crust
