Recycling with Tilda

As soon as I saw this gorgeous freebie flower digi stamp from Carolines Rubber Stamps I knew I wanted to use in on acetate but in the end decided to do some recycling and used a couple of the clear discs you get in packs of cds to make this:

The back disc was covered with a backing paper from Artylicious butterfly bliss (i think its one of my all time favourite papers but you can't see it too well here)
On the front of the disc, I attached Longing Tilda with 3d foam pads and added 3 of the large flowers from Carolines (printed on vellum with black seed beads in the centres) and some paper flowers from my stash.. My printer is running out of ink so the flowers have a few little stripes on the petals but I quite liked the effect
I attached the back and front together with my BIA, i'm still scared stiff of it lol but at least I'm using it now. I think I need some smaller wires as these are a bit baggy for Tilda

I'm entering Tilda in the following challenges:
CD Sunday: In full bloom
Totally Papercrafts: One for the Girls
Colour Create Challenge: Peach, Baby Pink and Black
Cute Card Thursday: Lets get Fruity (Does my peaches and cream colour combo count?)

Thanks for looking,
Claire xx

  1. Claire you have produced a very special item here, I too get lines on my printing if the ink is low or the heads need cleaning and do like the effect it produces, It works really well on vellum.
Thanks for joining in with us at CD Sunday again.

  15. Gorgeous Claire - and what a neat idea - using the cds - I don't have a BIA but have given it some thought - not entirely sure I would use it. That said, I wouldn't even have thought you could punch through cds.
