Sunny Lotus from Chocolate Baroque

Good morning folks, todays card features one of this months scrummy new stamps from Chocolate Baroque, I thought it would be fun to make a bright sunny card as we don't seem to have seen a lot of sunshine for a while lol.

I've used this beautiful image from Serenity and stamped the lotus with Memento Ink before colouring with Graph'It markers. I've die cut with spellbinders Floral Ovals. The background was made using Wild Honey, Scattered Straw and Rusty Hinge  distress inks and the acrylic block technique before roughly stamping the flower with versamark and embossing with white embossing powder. I've added some lace, gingham ribbon and matted it  all on a scalloped card blank.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Artistic Inspirations: anything goes/ feminine
Inky Chicks: anything goes
Lexi's Creations: anything goes
Sparkle and Sprinkle: anything goes with embossing powder, glitter or flocking

thanks so much for popping by today, hope to see you again soon

  2. I love the way you inked the image panel leaving the centre absolutely crisply white & allowing the filigree shaped edge to almost, but not quite, merge with the background. The colouring of those green leaves is very dimensional & I love the way your gingham ribbon echoes the green leaves whereas the white lace brings out the white embossing. A very interesting background indeed whilst still allowing the image to take centre stage. You're right it brought me a ray of sunshine on a frosty day.
