Woooo hooo how excited am I? I was so happy when I received an email from Nancy with an invitation to be a Guest Designer at Craft A Scene, one of my very favourite challenges!! Of course I said yes, what an honour!! I love to create scenic cards, its so satisfying to start with a sheet of white card and make a picture with stamps and ink. This months theme at Craft a Scene is to make your own theme so I've chosen a theme of 'Sea and Sand'
I've used lots of different stamp to make this card, all from Sheena Douglass. I stamped them with Memento ink onto the reverse side of Centura Pearl card and simply watercoloured with distress markers. To create the clouds I just sloshed on some water and leave for a minute or two and then blot with kitchen roll. Once it was dry I stamped in the sentiment and matted it on kraft card and then dark brown card.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Crafting for all seasons: all things bright and beautiful
Creative Moments: anything goes
Inky Chicks: anything goes
Loves rubber stamps: anything goes
Papertake Weekly: anything goes
Sister Act: anything goes
thanks so much for visiting today

If those clouds are just sloshed water, I need lessons in sloshing. they are brilliant. It is a beautiful scene altogether. Thank you for your visit and your lovely comments. I love Clarity Stamps. In my humble opinion, they are the best you can get, standing up t anything you can throw at them, including ironing with a hot iron and angelina fibres. xx Maggie
ReplyDeleteFantastic scene Claire. I think you should def be on Sheena's team. Love the clouds. Not sure if I splodged on water and then blotted it would look so realistic.
