Good morning folks, how's your weekend going. I'm still all confused with the days after Christmas and New Year and now I've got week off work I haven't got a clue lol. Anyway I have wored out that today is Sunday so that means a new challenge over at Premium Craft Brands PanPastel Challenge where our theme is 'Anything Goes'. Nikky likes to keep us DT girls on our toes though so our challenge was to create a 'Frosty Finish'
I've altered a little wooden bird house and hopefully given it a frosty feel. I don't know about you but some snow and frost would almost be a pleasant change from all the grey, rainy windy days we seem to be having lately. I began by giving the little house coat of Maimeri gesso, once that was dry I added some colour with Raw Umber and White PanPastels, sealed with a spray of hairspray and stamped some text here and there.
I added lots of different frosty techniques including dots of Maimeri Pearl White Acrylic paint. The snow around the bottom was made with Maimeri Glassy gel, Gesso and glitter and liberally smothered around the little house. The icicles were made with Maimeri Glassy Gel and glitter spread on my craft sheet and left to dry, once it was dry I die cut it and attached it with my hot glue gun, The little birdy was made with Maimeri Light Modelling Paste in a mould, once it was dry I coloured it with Maimeri Pewter Acrylic paint.
Here's another pic:
