Bling it at PanPastel UK

Good morning my lovelies, Sunday morning and the sun is shining yipppeeee, and i've got a week of work so I'm one happy bunny! I've been catching up on some housey stuff so I can play all week! This morning we've got a new challenge at PanPastel UK and this time our theme is 'Bling it'. We've got a fab PanPastel starter set up for grabs thanks to our generous sponsor Berni at Your Creativity Store!

I've made a little canvas for my DT project, the colours are much more subtle in real life, I blame the weather but its probably my crap photography skills lol Anyway I began by mixing some microbeads with Maimeri Glassy gel and applying it through the dotty part of the Pronty 'Leaves and Birds' mask, the glassy gel is fab for resist techniques with PanPastels! Once it was dry I applied various shades of yellow PanPastels and then added some stamping. I used Lavinia stamps on tissue paper and applied them to the canvas with Maimeri Gloss gel Medium. While the medium was wet I added lots of rock candy glitter and again left it to dry. Next I added some tiny yellow gems and some flowers. The flowers were made with Maimieri Iridescent Paste, I coloured it with PanPastels and used a spatula to pop it into a silicone flower mould, adding glitter to some and beadazzles to others. These take a couple of days to dry but I love them so I think they're worth the wait. Here's another pic to show the 'bling' a bit better:

And another of the flowers:

To finish off i've made a little hanger from ribbon and added a bow and a little pearly button

I'm entering this in the following challenges:
Crazy Amigo : templates
Southern Girls: spots and dots
Victorine Originals: buttons and bows

Well I'm going to ignore the huge pile of ironing waiting for me and make the most of the sunshine today, I hope you're enjoying some better weather too
have a good day and thanks for popping by
Claire xx
