Tie a yellow ribbon at Crafty Ann's

Good morning folks, hope you've had a good week so far. If you're anything like me you'll be doing a happy dance because its Friday and the weekend is nearly here. Well the last two weeks have flown by and its time for new challenge over at Crafty Ann's Challenge Blog where our theme is 'Tie a Yellow ribbon', you'll be singing that all day now lol. As always our lucky winner will receive a fab prize from Crafty Ann's Digi Shop, pop over and have a look here (don't miss the lovely freebies!)

I've made a little wall hanging. I began by covering a little canvas with one of Crafty Ann's scrummy mottled stone papers in yellow, I crumpled the paper first and then popped it on the canvas using Maimeri Matte Medium and left it to dry. Next came some Maimeri Modelling paste through a crafters workshop template and a sprinkle of glamour dust. Once it was dry I added some more colour with PanPastels  and gave it a spray of hairspray to seal it. I've used Crafty Ann's beautiful image, 'Host of golden daffodils' and coloured with promarkers. The sentiment comes with the image, I've just cut the words out and popped them on the canvas with more Maimeri Matte medium. To finish off I've added some dots of cosmic shimmer glue to create faux pearls lace, yellow organza ribbon, beads from my stash and a little button. Here's another pic to show the colours a bit better.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:
Crafting for all seasons: buttons and bows
Crafty Creations: anything but a card
Crafty Ribbons: anything goes with ribbon
Happy Campers: flowers, use something digital

Thanks for popping by , I'm away for another day at work but I've got another long weekend off . Isn't it fab when you have loads of holidays to use up before the end of the year?? I've got lots of lovely long weekends between now and the end of March.
