Blue, Brown and Beige at Vintage Stamping Challenges

Good morning friends, I'm a little late with this mornings post as I've got a day off work (yipppeeeeeee) and i've been pottering round in my pjs lol. This morning's project is for our new challenge at Vintage Stamping Challenges where we've got a colour challenge for you,  Blue, Brown and Beige. As always there is a fab prize from our generous sponsor Leo, our lucky winner will receive a $20 voucher for Leo's store Flonzcraft and you'll be suprised how many stamps you'll be able to get as the prices are so reasonable. Don't forget though, we're a rubber stamping challenge so ink up those stamps and join in!!

I've made a heart shaped wall hanging using one of my favourite stamp sets 'Countrylife pastoral'. I stamped the image and the sentiment on water colour paper in sepia versafine ink and then glued the paper to my heart shaped die cuts before colouring the focal image with distress markers.  Once dry, I trimmed off the excess watercolour card and inked with pumice stone distress ink and then used Maimeri Light modelling medium through a brick effect template from The Crafters Workshop. Once that was dry I coloured the bricks with tea dye and vintage photo distress ink.

I then added lots of paper flowers and leaves, some little faux pearls and a gorgeous lace heart from the lovely Linda at the Funkie Junkie Boutique. I mounted the hearts on some rich blue seam binding ribbon using a hot glue gun and then popped some more of the hearts on the back to keep the ribbon in position.

I'm entering this in the following challenges:
Anything but a card: Share the love
Artistic Stamper: hearts and flowers
Clearly Inspired: lets get inky
CRAFT: Masking
Crafty Catz: anything but a square
Divas by Design: blues browns and cream
Great Impressions: have a heart
Little Miss Muffet: Hearts and flowers
Pumpkin Spice: anything with a heart
Totally Papercrafts: make your own embellies

Right, I'm off to put the kettle on and have another coffee before catching up with some commenting. Have a good day and if you have a minute, do pop over to the challenge blog as my supertalented teamies have created some gorgeous projects.
Thanks for popping by and for all your lovely comments
Claire xx
