Friendship gives wings to the heart

Hi there, hope your week is going well, Wednesday is here already and if you squint you'll be able to see the weekend in the distance lol. Today's project is a little paper mache heart that I've altered using stamps from 'Pretty Poppes' by Chocolate Baroque/

I've painted the heart with ecogreen acrylic paints and then stamped with a fabric weave stamp from Indigo Blu (it was a freebie stamp from using the code in Craft Stamper and it is fab!) with white pigment ink to give a bit of texture to the background. Next came Maimeri Matte Gel Medium and  a layer of tissue paper, stamped with a crackle stamp using gold stazon. The poppies were coloured with promarkers and cut out (that was a bit of a nightmare as i'm blind as a bat lol), they were also applied with Maimeri Matte medium, as was the sentiment which was also stamped using Gold stazon on tissue paper. The Bee stamp is from Rose Garden by Chocolate Baroque, with a bit of glamour dust on his wings and some Maimeri glassy gel over the top. The sides were painted with gold acrylic paint and I stamped some ladybirds, gave them a coat of glassy gel and stuck them to the sides and forgot to take a pic of them DOH!

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:
City Crafter: Friendship
Corrosive Challenge: hearts anf flowers
Crazy for Challenges: friendship/good spirits
Eureka Stamps: Sweet hearts
Top Tip Tuesday: Let me call you sweetheart

Thanks for popping by today and for all your lovely comments
have a good day

  3. Gorgeous contrast with the bright poppies & the pale blue background - love the way the gold crackle background works with it too. The colour combination is a wonderful little big lesson in colour theory.
