Sweet pea gift box

I was tidying up (don't worry it doesn't happen often lol) when I came across a clear plastic cotton bud box in the recycling so I decided to have a play and alter it. I'm making a bracelet for my friend using some gorgeous aqua semiprecious chip beads and brown pearls so I thought these colours would be just the job for the gift box.
I got a pot of Viva Precious Metal paint in my Graphicus stash box so I gave the box a light sand and coated it with paint -omg I love this stuff!!!! The shimmery glimmery gorgeousness is unbelievable, i can't wait til payday so I can invest in some more colours. Anyway here is my altered gift box

And another angle to try and catch the paint effect

The image is a Sweet Pea stamp from Crafts and Me, coloured with promarkers and a dusting of ink around the edge. The image is mounted on some brown shimmer card and attached to the lid with wet glue (this stuff doesn't like dst). I raided my flower and bead stash for the flowers, using some floradoodles and the rest plain white flowers coloured with promarkers. I added some memory wire spirals too. The sentiment is stamped and embossed onto a creative acrylic tag which had been coloured with alcohol inks (stream and expresso) - hard to see in the pics tho. I added some brown velvet ribbon and a couple more flowers to the box base to finish off.

I'm entering this little gift box in the following challenges

Sweet Pea Stampers: Aqua and Brown
Crafts and Me: Friends and Family
Sentimental Sundays: New or neglected stash (my yummy new paint!!)
Tuesday Taggers: all that blooms
Gingersnaps Spicy Supplies Challenge (GC 58): Transparencies (I've used a clear acrylic tag and my recycled box is made from clear plastic)

Thanks for looking,
Claire xx
