Hello from a very cold and windy corner of the UK, the weather is awful - perfect for staying in and crafting. I'm really in Christmas card mood at the minute, here's another for the Christmas box but i've gone for hot pink and lime green as a change from traditional Christmas colours.
I've used the gorgeous 'Nutcracker Ballerina Fairy' from Michelle Perkett (you can find her here in Michelle's store), she is coloured with promarkers and cut out (not the easiest image to cut out with huge scissors cos you've lost your decoupage snips lol) and matted onto a doily sprayed with glimmer mists. The bps are all from papermania and the ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons. I made loads of snowflakes at the weekend with white card (cut with Marianne snowflake dies) and holographic glitter and i was really happy to find that you can colour them to match your project with glimmer mists (I'm entering this tip into Top Tip Tuesday). I added a little candy cane charm from my stash to finish the card off.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges
Crafty Creations: fables and Fairytales
Pixie Cottage: Sketch
Paperplay: Circles
Raise the bar: Curves
Crazy 4 Challenges: square card
Bee Crafty: Christmas
There's Magic in the air: Non traditional Christmas colours
Top Tip Tuesday: Use an image/sentiment
Fairy tale challenge: everything goes
There's a new challenge starting today at Michelle Perkett Studio's, Jan and her team of talented mermaids have set an easy challenge this week - 'Anything goes' and of course use one of Michelle's beautiful images (if you don't have one you can pick up a lovely freebie at SNR, PCP or CDAC)
Thanks for visiting today,
Claire xx

I'm always playing catch up I'm afraid. Lots of lovely cards this last week or so and this one especially caught my eye. Fab colours to be seen in the midst of winter (well it feels like it anyway - blowing a gale here todaty but not as cold as yesterday).
ReplyDeleteSuper image too and the doily die is great - saw it on the box this morning for the first time.
