Autumn Fragments from Chocolate Baroque

Good morning folks, well Autumn is definitely here the leaves are changing colour so quickly now but on Sunday I spotted a red admiral butterfly fluttering along when I was out walking the dogs!  Anyway back to business, todays card features the fab new stamps 'Nature Fragments' from Chocolate Baroque

I made a background using distress inks in Peeled Paint, Dried Marigold and Gathered Twigs and splashed it with a little water, blotting it to create a patchy effect, Next I stamped the 'wood' fragments with more Gathered Twigs Distress ink. The sentiment is from  Nature's Peace and is one of my all time favourites. I added some die cut shapes and a flower made by die cutting some tissue wrap that I'd coloured with distress ink. I added a little copper brad in the centre and some raffia to finish off.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Little Blue Button: fall inspiration
Perfect Sentiment: Fall or Halloween
Sister Act: anything goes
Wags'n'whiskers: Fall colours
thanks so much for visiting today, hope to see you again soon

  5. Love the way the water spots in the background echo the irregular shape of those tree rings & the shape of your flower too. Just spotted another circle - the embellishment for the flower-head. In fact it's that flower that draws the eye & with your die-cuts forms an arrow with the eye then flicking over to the balancing area in the opposite corner with the sentiment & over the pure background. Doesn't the green & orange add a real sense of autumnal colour?
