Halloween at Chocolate Baroque

Good morning, today's card is one of my DT makes for Chocolate Baroque where our theme this month is Autumn/Halloween. I've used lots of lovely Halloween stamps from  Chocolate Baroque to create this little scene.

I began by stamping the images (from Put a Spell on You and Nevermore) using Memento Tuxedo Black in and then masked the images using making fluid. and created the background using distress inks and acrylic paints. Once the background was dry I removed the masking fluid and coloured the images with Graph'It markers. I've added some spooky embellishments to finish the card off.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
A Vintage Journey: Make it Spooky
Crafty Calendar: Halloween
Fantasy Stampers: Halloween
That's Crafty: Friday 13th/Halloween

Thanks so much for visiting today, hope to see you again soon

Halloween at Chocolate Baroque

Good morning folks, my project today is  a quick and easy Halloween card made using stamps from 'Witching Time' from Chocolate Baroque. I decided to dust off my angelina fibres and fantasy film to make this project as I thought they would be perfect for a spooky card.
I began by making a sandwich of the film with assorted colours of the fibres in the middle and then popped the film onto the the stamps which were inked with black stazon ink .I used a layer of greaseproof paper and ironed over the top for a few seconds. I love this technique it's such fun to do!

I cut the images out and layered them up,m adding ribbon, a button and some of the left over angelina fibres for a border.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:

Crafting by Designs: Add a sentiment
Dragonfly Journeys: Trick or treat
Fantasy Stampers: Black magic

Good morning my lovelies, well it's been another hectic week but hopefully now I've got a week of work so I can catch up on some rest and hopefully some crafting too! We've got a new challenge starting over at We Love 2 Create and as always our theme is super easy ... Anything Creative/Mixed Media Goes! We've got some lovely goodies up for grabs thanks to Premium Craft Brands and you don't even have to use our products to enter!

Time hasn't been on my side this week so I've made a very quick tag using PanPastels (links to the colours are at the end of the post). I simply blended the pans to create a background of autumn shades and then stamped the images (all from Lavinia Stamps) using Memento Rich Cocoa ink. I added some colour to the acorn house and some grass in the foreground using distress inks and some highlights with a Gold Graph'It Shake pen. To finish off I've added a fabric covered brad and some rainbow ribbon.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:

Artistic inspirations: anything goes
Dragonfly Journeys: Fall festival of colours
Ike's World: Tag you're it

Autumn at Chocolate Baroque

Good morning my lovelies, the weather has really changed this weeks with some chilly mornings and some beautiful autumn sunshine. I love this time of year so I've really enjoyed creating this Autumn themed wall hanging using some of my favourite stamps from Chocolate Baroque where this month the DT will be sharing Autumn or Halloween projects on the Chocolate Baroque Blog

I began by creating a distress ink background on a strip of white card. I used Wild Honey, Peeled Paint, Spiced Marmalade and a little Barn Door. Once that was dry I stencilled in the sun using acrylic paints in shades of yellow and orange. Next I stamped in the images which are all from Autumn Poppy A4 stamp sheet using Potting Soil Archival Ink.

I coloured the images using Lyra pencils, I was really pleased with the way the sun rays just show through the leaves and berrries a little bit. I used my pencils to add some shading and grass around the toadstools and added some white spots with white gesso.

I distressed the edges with Forest Moss and Gathered Twigs distress ink and layered it up on brown card. Next I used corrugated card to create a base layer. I misted the card with water and peeled off the top layer and then just randomly applied shades of brown, red, orange and green acrylic paint. Once the paint was dry I added some highlights with gilding wax.

To finish off I added some string, a bow topped with a button and brass leaf.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:

Addicted to Stamps: Favourite embellishment and a stamp
(my favourite embellie had got to be a bow)
Come and Get it: Welcome Autumn
Make my Monday: No patterned paper

Thanks so much for visiting today, hope to see you again soon.
