Anything Creative/Mixed Media Goes at We love 2 Create

Good morning folks, its a bank holiday weekend here in the UK so I'm making the most of the long weekend and catching up on some jobs at home and doing lots of crafting too. Its time for a new challenge over at We Love 2 Create and as always you can enter as long as you follow our nice easy theme of 'Anything Creative Mixed Media' goes. You don't have to use our products to play along but our lucky winner will receive some gorgeous goodies from Premium Craft Brands.

For my DT project I've altered this cute little Mdf bird house from Fernli Designs. I've got a bit of an Mdf addiction and recently had a lovely fix of goodies from Fernli lol. I've covered this birdy house with pretty papers and distressed with Raw Umber PanPastel. I've made it a little stand using two old CDs and a piece of strong cardboard roll. I covered them all with paper and again distressed with Raw Umber Pan Pastel. I've added some die cut flowers coloured with a tiny bit of Ultramarine Blue and tint PanPastel. I've also used some gorgeous coffee coloured lace on the top of the roof, some pretty blue lace and some pearl trim.

The bird was made with Maimeri Light Modelling Paste in a silicone mould, coloured with Ultramarine Blue PanPastel. I've added some stamped images from one of my all time favourite stamp sets, 'Postcard' from Premium Craft Brands - the post card, butterfly, sentiment and frame were all stamped with versamark and then coloured with Ultramarine Blue and Raw Umber PanPastels.

To finish off i've added a bow and a pretty brass button and popped some faux pearls here and there.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:
Allsorts: recycle
Altered Eclectics: anything goes
Crafty Friends: use a sentiment
Crafty Ribbons: butterflies and birds
Fab'n'Funky: things with wings
Left of Centre: mainly blue
Rhedd's Creative Spirit: anything goes

Thanks so much for popping by today

Pinecone Frame from Chocolate Baroque

Good morning my lovelies, I'm running late with my posts so here's another Christmas card made using the gorgeous pinecone stamps from Chocolate Baroque. You can find them on Christmas Candelight  here and while you're there check out the amazing new release stamps, they are Halloween themed and they are fab!!

I used the pinecone stamps to create a frame by stamping with Memento Rich Cocoa ink, I cut around the inside of the frame with a craft knife and coloured the frame with Derwent Pencils, inking around the edges with Pine Needles distress ink. The gorgeous little scene is one of my favourite of last years Christmas stamps, its a clear stamp called Snowy Cottage, again coloured with pencils and I've also added a little glamour dust. I've layered the frame up with 3d foam, edged with a gold krylon pen and popped it all on a kraft card.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Crafty Catz: Golden oldie
Creative Knockouts: anything goes
Moving along with the times: snow in summertime
Papertake Weekly: technique - distressing
Simply Papercrafts: anything goes

Anything Creative/Mixed Media goes at We Love 2 Create

Good morning folks, we've got lots of inspiration for you today over at We Love 2 Create and you've still got plenty of time to play along with our 'Anything Creative/Mixed Media Goes' challenge!! Pop over and have a look at all the inspiration from my lovely teamies and see if you were picked as winner or one of the top 3 in our last challenge. Our generous sponsors at Premium Craft Brands have some fab crafty goodies up for grabs for our lucky winner too.

For my project I've altered an MDF blank using my PanPastels. Its not the best of photos but thats nothing new for me lol. Once I'd given the mdf a coat of gesso I added some colour with shades of turquoise and bright yellow green PanPastels and did a wee bit of stencilling here and there using a Dutch Doobadoo stencil and some Maimeri Light Modelling Paste. Once that was dry I added some white pearl medium for some sparkle. I stamped the flowers using Dreamees stamps and Memento Ink (Lady Bug) and stamped in some grass here and there too. I added dots of black enamel accents to the centre of the flowers and left it all to dry. I wanted a nice gold edge to the MDF but this is really awkward with a gold pen or embossing powder so I used versamark ink (applied with a cotton bud) and then used Gold PanPastel with one of the sofft tool applicators to give a pretty gold edge. To finish off I added a metal butterfly coloured with white gesso and gold PanPastel, a gingham bow and a paper poppy which unfortunately just looks like a blob in my photo lol.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:
Crafting with Dragonflies: make it floral
Fab'n'Funky: things with wings
Simply Create Too: anything goes
Try it on Tuesday: Sending you flowers

Thanks so much for popping by today

Christmas Tag from Chocolate Baroque

Hi there folks my  project today features some of this months new stamps from Chocolate Baroque. I've created a large tag using Bearing Gifts and stamps from Sparkling Trees and some stencilling for the background.

I've used one of the Ranger Giant Manila tags for this project. I began by splodging some Distress Stains (Gold, Picket Fence, Tea Dye and Broken China) onto my craft sheet and misting with a little water. I dragged the tag through the colour several time and while it was drying I splashed on a little water. I stamped the stars from Christmas Candlelight with Versamark ink and embossed with Gold embossing powder and then applied texture paste through a star stencil. Once the texture paste was dry I added gilding wax in shades of gold, silver and copper to the stars.

I stamped 'Bearing Gifts' and coloured with Derwent pencils, cut the image out and layered it up over some hessian, gold mesh and a little green ribbon. I added a sentiment from Christmas Magic, stamped on a little kraft tag and embossed with Gold EP.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:
ABC Christmas: Quantum leap (N not a card)
Bloggers: Backgrounds
Crafting by Designs: get ready for Christmas
Little Claire's: Christmas in August
Winter Wonderland: Christmas songs/carols (We Three Kings)

Good morning folks, its inspiration time over at Graph'it Colouring Challenge and we've got some fab prizes up for grabs with not only some Graph'it goodies from Premium Craft Brands up for grabs but also we've got another amazing sponsor .... one lucky winner will receive a prize from Kenny K Downlods too!!

I loved colouring this fun image and I adore the colour palette Nikky has chosen for us this week! I coloured the image from memory though and went a bit more orange than red lol.

Once I'd coloured the image I masked him and used the tube from a biro to blow ink from my Graph'Its to create a background. I doodled around the edges and then I was very brave and wrote the sentiment lol. Here's a close up, I've added some dots to the background with  white and silver Graph'It Shake Pens and used the silver pen to give his specs some shine.

For a full list of the colours I've used, pop over to the challenge blog and while you're there check out the amazing techniques my teamies have been using with these fun images.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Sparkling Christmas Scene from Chocolate Baroque

Good morning folks, my  first post today features stamps from Christmas Candlelight and Sparkling Trees, two of this months new releases from Chocolate Baroque that I've  used to make Christmas scene.

I love to create scenic cards so I really enjoyed making this one. The stamps from the two A5 stamp sheets work beautifully together. I began by stamping the images using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used PanPastels to add colour to the background so I didn't need to mask the stamped images as PanPastels are erasable. The only thing I had to mask was the moon.

I used shades of Blue and Grey PanPastel to Create the sky and the snowy hills and I added some silver to the moon for a little shimmer and some falling snowflakes with a white Graph'It Shake pen.

I used a black fineliner pen to extend the post under the lantern. Next I coloured the trees, reindeer and lantern with coloured pencils. It was looking a little bare in the top left corner so I used one of the tree stamps as a branch, again colouring with pencils.

I've matted on white and red card and added pearls, ribbon topped with buttons and a little charm to finish the card off. The sentiment is from Christmas Magic, stamped with Rhubarb Stalk Memento Ink.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Crafts Galore Encore: anything goes
Fan-tastic Tuesday: anything goes with a twist use some glitter
Holly Jolly Christmas: Snowflakes and sparkle
Love to Scrap: anything goes
Noor Designs UK: Christmas
Sparkles Forum Christmas: No designer papers

Anything Mixed Media/Creative Goes at We love 2 create!

Good morning my lovelies, its time for a new challenge over at We Love 2 Create and as ever our theme is 'Anything Creative/Mixed media Goes' so you can let your imagination run wild!!
Our lucky winner will receive some gorgeous crafty goodies from Premium Craft Brands and you don't have to use our products to play along.

For my DT project i've made an 8x8 canvas using some of my favourite techniques. The canvas had already been used once but it had gone horribly wrong lol. I decided to recycle it so I gave it a coat of white gesso and then coloured with shades of turquoise and yellow green PanPastels before stencilling in the leaves with some green sparkle medium. I wasn't happy with the colour as it was really dark green so I applied more PanPastel over the top and happily you can still see the sparkle!!

I used a Stamps Away stencil for the focal image. I coloured some white card with turquoise and green PanPastels and then applied more PanPastels through the stencil to colour the image. Next I applied Maimeri Glassy Gel medium through the stencil and then removed the stencil and sprinkled on clear microbeads. I left it to dry and once the glassy gel has dried you get a lovely effect as you can see the colour of the PanPastels below but the microbeads give a lovely sparkle.

To finish off I added some stamping around the edges using Dreamees stamps and versmark for the leaves. I then applied Yellow Green PanPastel. The flowers were stamped in black and then watercoloured with Pans.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:

Allsorts: Share your favourite colour
(I love green and red together)
Daring Cardmakers: touchy feely
Crafting for all seasons: bright and beautiful
Creative Card Crew: Sparkle/glitter

Something new at Polkadoodles!

Hello folks, I'm a bit late on parade today as blogger isn't posting my scheduled posts for some reason. I seem to have gremlins following me this week as my phone is playing up and my  freezer has broken too. Anyway better late than never, here's my project for our new challenge over at Polkadoodles where our theme is 'Something new to you'. I've been inspired by the gorgeous canvas created by my lovely teamie Claire B and made a canvas using the wonderful Santa image from the new collection 'Picknix 3 Nordic Winter'

I printed Santa out on Ultimate Graphic Paper (also from Polkadoodles) and coloured hime with Graph'It markers before cutting him out. I primed the canvas with white gesso and stencilled on some snowflakes using  Maimeri Glassy Gel and once that was dry I added some colour with distress reinkers in Tumbled Glass and Broken China. Once that was dry I stencilled in some more snowflakes using Light Modelling paste, adding a sprinkle of glitter.

I stencilled polkadots around the sides of the canvas with LMP and coloured the dots by swiping over the raised areas with Festive Berries distress ink.

Here's a better pic of Santa, he's a fab image to colour

To finish off I've added a die cut 'Noel' with some glittery snow, a bow and a couple of bells.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:
ABC Christmas: polkadots
Creative Card Crew: sparkle/glitter
Die Cut Divas: Favourite holiday
Digi Choosday: punches/ die cuts
Moving along with the time: Snow in summertime
Sparkles Forum Christmas: no designer papers

If you've got a few minutes pop over and check out my teamies gorgeous projects, they've created some gorgeous projects to inspire you

Anything Mixed Media/Creative Goes at We Love 2 Create

I've used a Stampbord domino to make the body, coloured with Permanent Red Shade PanPastel and the stamped with the stars background stamp from premium Craft Brands using versamark ink before applying  Black Coarse pearl medium for some sparkle.

The face is a stamp from Chocolate Baroque, I've stamped it on to a Stampbord inchie and coloured with PanPastels. I also stamped it onto smooth white card and coloured the hair with my Graph'It markers. i've used glue on bails and wire with a pretty red bead to join the two. I've dressed my little lady with some stripey ribbon and added a black velvet bow around her waist.

The legs are from one of my Prima Doll stamps, again coloured with PanPastels and Graph'It markers. I've used wire and beads to make her arms and used a little wire to make a hanger for her.
