Winter Wonderland at Fashionable Stamping Challenges

Hello folks, its challenge time at Fashionable Stamping Challenges and for the next two weeks our theme is 'Winter Wonderland', a great excuse for me to create a scenic card and add another card to my Christmas card box. We've got a fab prize of a $20 voucher up for grabs from our generous sponsor Flonzcraft so I hope you're going to ink up those stamps and play along. We definitely need to see that stamping is the focus of your project, no digis allowed!

The stamps I've used are all from Chocolate Baroque (Christmas Creatures). I began by stamping and masking the robin stamp, next I stamped the arch and lastly the little deer and Christmas tree. I coloured the stamping with distress markers, masked the moon and then set to adding a misty snowy sky with distress inks (weathered wood, stormy sky and chipped sapphire) using my SplodgeMat.

I added some white Cosmic shimmer glue to the trees and to create the snowdrifts and sprinkled on some glamour dust, I created the lights on the tree with stickles and lastly added snow with a White Graph'It Shake Pen.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Crafting for all seasons: tis the season
Creative Corner: winter wonderland
Fairy Tale: Christmas with animals
Simon Says Stamp: anything goes
Simply Create too: Snow snow snow
Sweet Stampin: Let it snow

Well after a hectic few weeks things seem to be settling down a bit (I hope I'm not tempting fate saying that lol) so hopefully I'll be able to catch up a bit this week

Colouring at PanPastel UK

Good morning my lovelies, how's your weekend going? Hope you're having a good one. I've been trying to get ahead with some DT projects and also my new camera has arrived, although its a bit technical for me lol. Today's project is for our new challenge at PanPastel UK where the theme is 'Colouring'. You don't have to use PanPastels to colour your image although the DT have all had a go, I have to say it was a bit scary but its really quick and easy especially if you use the PanPastel Colourless blender. As ever there's a fab prize from Premium Craft Brands up for grabs so I hope you're going to play along.

I've made a shadow box using Maimeri Iridescent Medium coloured with Turquoise PanPastel to create the frame and the background . I've also used my PanPastels to colour the focal image, you can find the colours used below the pics, I also used the new PanPastel Colourless Blender - its fabulous!!

The image is a digi from Aurora Wings and the sentiment is one of my old favourite stamps from Non Sequitur.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:
Altered Eclectics: anything goes
Aurora Wings: anything goes
Brown Sugar: anything goes
Decorate to celebrate: anything 3d
Penny's Paper Crafty: anything goes
That's Crafty: all about face

Get Festive at We Do Doobadoo

Good morning folks, we're getting festive at We Do Doobadoo. I've got to admit I'm not feeling the slightest bit Christmassy yet (are you??) but I did enjoy making these tags. More awful photos again I'm afraid but my new camera is being delivered today so hopefully I'll be able to get some better pics of my projects. If you've got a min pop over and check out my teamies gorgeous projects over at We Do Doobadoo, there's a fabby prize for our lucky winner as always so I hope you're going to play along with us.

I began with a couple of kraft tags that I'd stamped with a music stamps and stencilled with Maimeri Iridescent Medium and the gorgeous Dutch Doobadoo stars stencil. Once that was dry I added some images that I'd stamped with versamark before applying Raw Umber PanPastel. These are some of my oldest stamps but I love them and dust them off every year. I die cut the images and popped them up with 3d foam pads before adding ribbon, die cut holly leaves and some ribbon. To finish off I took some of the dainty little laser cut stars (also from Dutch Doobadoo) and embossed with WOW Gold EP.

I'm entering these tags in the following challenges:

A Creative Romance: something old (stamps)
Creative Knockouts: all that glitters
Creative moments: anything goes/ sparkle
Wags'n'Whiskers: add leaves
Winter Wonderland: dies/punches

Well i'm off to watch for postie with my new camera

Colour Challenge at Chocolate Baroque

Good morning my lovelies, today is my turn to share my inspiration project for our colour challenge at Chocolate Baroque Challenge and this time around we've got this gorgeous colour palette to work with

I started by picking out distress inks to match the challenge colours, I used Evergreen Bough, Gathered twigs, Picked Raspberry and Shaded Lilac. In the photo it looks quite bluey but my camera has given up the ghost so I'm having to use my phone

I began by splodging my distress inks on to my nonstick craft sheet, misted them with water and then swooshed some white card through the inky puddles. I dried the card off and repeated the process before splashing with some water and mopping up with kitchen roll. I cut a square of the inky background and stamped with the gorgeous snowflakes from A Child is Born and embossed with sparkly white WOW Embossing powder, for some extra bling I added gems to the snowflakes.

I used a scrap of the background I'd made to die cut a bauble with a spellbinders die and stamped the 'Christmas Magic' sentiment , again embossing the sentiment.  I layered the bauble up on glitter card and did the same with the background, adding a few more gems. a little charm and a seam binding bow.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Crafty Cardmakers: distress it
Crafty Sentiments: use die cuts
Everybody Art: Snowflakes
Ooh La La: Christmas
Stamping Sensations: Simply Christmas

Thanks for popping by, hope to see you again soon

Trees at Craft a Scene

Good afternoon, I hope you're having a lovely crafty Sunday afternoon. This is my second post of the day, for our 'Trees' Challenge at Craft a Scene

I've created the scene on cream card using a copier paper mask that i'd die cut with a Spellbinders die to create an aperture. I used torn paper to mask the hills and used PanPastels in shades of blue to create the scene. I used small tree stamps and Deer stamps from Clarity Stamps, the sentiment is from Chocolate Baroque. I added the larger trees (again from Clarity) and glittered them for a bit of Christmas sparkle. I distressed the edges with a little black PanPastel and matted on some kraft card.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Allsorts: no designer papers
Animal Friends: its cold
Artistic Stamper: Christmas is coming
Dies r Us: Christmas

Thanks for visiting, hope to see you again soon

Cold and Frosty Colours at PanPastel UK

Hi there folks, how's your weekend going? Its been really hectic here recently so I'm a very happy bunny to have a week of work, hopefully I'll be able to get ahead with some DT projects and catch up with my blog visiting too. I'm a bit late with this post which is for our new challenge at PanPastel UK as I'm really struggling to get a decent pic of this project, in the end I gave up so you'll have to use your imagination lol. Our challenge theme is 'Cold and Frosty Colours' so its a great excuse to get busy with your Christmas cards, as always you don't have to use PanPastels to enter and our lucky winner will receive some fab stash from Premium Craft Brands.

I began by creating some texture, applying some crumpled tissue paper with Maimeri Gloss Gel Medium. Once that was dry I added Blue pearl PanPastel to the top 2/3 of the jar and then Maimeri Platinum White Acrylic paint to the bottom, I applied the paint thickly with a spatula to create the effect of hills and then dusted on some of the coarse White Pearl Medium for some extra sparkle. Once that was all dry I added trees, little cottages and deer by stamping the images on tissue and applying them with more Glossy Gel Medium. The stamped images aren't showing up too well in the pic but they look really pretty in real life.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:
Allsorts: anything but a card
Crafting musketeers: anything but a card
Seemacrafts: Monochrome
Sisters of Craft: anything goes
Thanks for popping by today

Add some bling inspiration at PanPastel UK

Good morning folks, its inspiration time over at PanPastel UK! You've still got a week to enter our 'Add some Bling Challenge' to be in with a chance to win some gorgeous goodies from our lovely sponsors 'Premium Craft Brands'

I've made a really quick and easy card as i've been pushed for time this week. PanPastels are perfect for those quick cards! I began by applying Versamark ink and then Black Coarse Pearl Medium over a snowflake stencil from my stash. The Pearl medium has a really gorgeous sparkle, its hard to get a decent pic but you can just about see it on this one:

I'd run out of hairspray which I usually use to seal my PanPastels so I had a play around and came up with a mix of Maimeri Gloss Gel medium and water (about 1/3 gloss gel and 2/3 water) and spritzed it over the PanPastels and its sealed it beautifully!

I cut out the centre to create a frame and layered it up over a little scene stamped with a freebie stamp from Quick Cards Made Easy. I coloured the image with Black Pearl Fine PanPastel Medium and added lots of bling! To finish off I used a white Graph'It shake pen for the snowflakes on the image.

I'm  entering this card in the following challenges:
CRAFT: Winter
Crafty Calendar: all about Christmas
Crafty Sentiments: make it sparkle
Creative Corner: christmas

If you've got a minute pop over to the challenge blog as my teamies have created some gorgeous projects to inspire you. Thanks for visiting today, hope to see you again soon
