Hello my lovelies, hope you're having a good weekend so far. I've been gardening and crafting so I'm a happy bunny lol. We've got a new challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenges and this time our theme, chosen by the lovely Yvonne is 'Like Clockwork'. As always there is a fab prize of a $20 voucher from our generous sponsor Flonzcraft so don't miss out on your chance to win. Don't forget we're a stamping challenge though so you need to make sure that stamping is the focal point of your project.
I've made a card using one of my new Flonzcraft stamps, I just adore this little boy laid in the grass watching the birds, he's adorable. I took my inspiration from the fact that time flies when you're lazing around outside and found the perfect stamps for my background - these dandelion clocks from Chocolate Baroque were just the job. I made an inky background using Bundled Sage, Faded Jeans and Tea Dye distress ink and overstamped the dandelion clocks with Vintage photo, adding glossy accents to the clock faces and stamping some stitched around the edges
The image has been coloured with pencils and again has stamped stitching around the edges
I've added a sentiment from Chocolate Baroque, stamped on scraps of my background. The sizzix die cuts have been coloured with PanPastels and I've added a little gold embossing powder to the clock. To finish off I've added some burlap from the Funky Junkie and some gingham ribbon topped with a little wooden button and a twine bow.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Allsorts: for the guys
Charisma Cardz: Fathers Day
Crafting for all Seasons: boys
Creative Card Crew: shabby chic/vintage
Fussy and Fancy: outdoors
Paper Shelter: manly
Shopping our Stash: stamp your background
