Last Christmas card this year......

Or should I say my first Christmas card for next year. This is another first for me ... my first digi stamp. It is Snow Fairy from Sketching Stamper I think she is so pretty, I couldn't resist.

I've used a backing paper from Blonde Moments and coloured her with promarkers and a sakura clear stardust pen. The ribbon was from my stash as were the brads and gems, the tiny snowflakes are punched from vellum and sprayed with silver glitter spray. I've used a vellum tag inked with versacolor 'pacific' ink pad. Over that is a creative acrylics tag using silver detail EP for the sentiment and I embossed the back of the tag with sparkle and sprinkle EP in skylight.
I used a sketch from the Truly Scrumptious challenge blog, love the simple lines of this sketch, the extra was to use some vellum - I was going to use stamped vellum for the background but it just didn't work so I've added the tiny vellum snowflakes and tag. I'm also using this card for the Dare you to Digistamp challenge which is Last Minute Christmas cards - they don't get any more last minute than this lol

I can't believe New Years Eve has come round so quickly, a night in watching the Hootenanny for me and OH tonight but my son is going to a huge rave until 7am, don't envy him the hangover lol. He's got friends round now and is blasting out the music so I'm going to retreat to the sofa with a coffee and my inktense pencils for a quiet afternoon.
Happy New Year and thanks for looking

Let it snow bookmark

I've been messing about with grungeboard and twinkling h2o's today and made this bookmark for the Graphicus December Challenge of 'Dangly bits' and the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge , the theme is 'Last minute gifts'. It the first challenge for my new blog and it was great to make something other than a card for a change although I got in the most awful mess and you don't want to see the back of the bookmark.
The stamp is from Elusive images, I think the themeplate is called 'Let it snow' and it has some gorgeous stamps. This snowman was the perfect size for a quick and easy bookmark though. I stamped him in black versafine and embossed with a clear EP then just sloshed the h2os on. The snowflake is made from seedbeads using a pattern from a workshop at the Bead Cabin, its really quick and easy to make

Thanks for looking

My best crafting project .... The Stampman

Well I haven't got many pictures of my cards etc over the past year - we had a major pc gremlin and all my photos were lost when my son tried to fix it. That'll teach me for not backing things up won't it
Anyway my favourite project from this year has to be our wedding invitations, I'm not sure that they were the best but I loved making them and Paul helped quite a bit. I thought it was going to convert him to becoming a crafter but it didn't.

We only had to make about 25 invitations so they didn't take too long, I was cutting butterflies out in my sleep though lol.
I'm really enjoying the Stampmans blog hop - my first blog hop and I've found some great blogs full of loads of ideas. The only problem is I'm spending most of my time off work looking at blogs instead of crafting..

Finally done it!!

I've been threatening to start a blog for soooooooo long and never got round to it but here we are,
my first post on my Brand New Shiney Blog ... I expect it won't be long until its covered in glitter, ink, glimmer mists etc like everything else I touch
Here are a couple of cards I made

This one was for my son David who is 19, I really struggle to make cards for him as I tend to do girly cards. He was impressed with it though and I even managed to get some glitter on it.

The stamp is from Joanna Sheen, coloured with promarkers. I cut the letters on my cricut, glittered them with crushed glass glitter and stuck some red gems on as they looked a bit plain on the acetate card front.

This one was for my hubby Paul, it is our first Christmas since we got married and  I had to use the 'Snogging Snowmen' from Joanna Sheen's Enchanted Christmas cd. The snowflakes were made with seed beads and firepolished crystals, they took ages but I was really pleased with them when I got them on the card

Thank you for looking, the pictures aren't brilliant. Maybe I should have asked Santa for a new camera
