Halloween at Chocolate Baroque

Good morning folks, my project today is  a quick and easy Halloween card made using stamps from 'Witching Time' from Chocolate Baroque. I decided to dust off my angelina fibres and fantasy film to make this project as I thought they would be perfect for a spooky card.
I began by making a sandwich of the film with assorted colours of the fibres in the middle and then popped the film onto the the stamps which were inked with black stazon ink .I used a layer of greaseproof paper and ironed over the top for a few seconds. I love this technique it's such fun to do!

I cut the images out and layered them up,m adding ribbon, a button and some of the left over angelina fibres for a border.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:

Crafting by Designs: Add a sentiment
Dragonfly Journeys: Trick or treat
Fantasy Stampers: Black magic

Thanks so much for visiting today, hope to see you again soon

Steampunk Jellyfish from Chocolate Baroque

Good morning folks, Monday already so its back to work for me but before I go here's a bookmark made using the fabulous jellyfish stamp from Steampunk Funky Fish from Chocolate Baroque. When I first saw this stamp, the tentacles reminded me of a tassel so I put my thinking cap on and came up with the idea of a book mark.

The background was from my pile of inky papers, made with distress inks in Broken China, Chipped Sapphire, Mowed Lawn and sprized with mica spray. I covered the wet inky background with cling film and left to dry, unfortunately you can't see the mica in the photos.

I stamped the Jellyfish with Memento Tuxedo Blank ink and added some stencilling with sequin waste and Chipped Sapphire distress ink.

To add a bit more interest I had a rummage in my craft room and found some Fantasy Film so I dusted of my iron and created the 'umbrellas' of both Jellyfish and attached them with some glue.

To finish off I inked around the edge with more Chipped Sapphire and of course I had to add a tassel.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:
4 Crafty Chicks: animals
A Little Bit Crafty: Anything goes but not Christmas
Allsorts: animal magic
House that stamps built: anything but a card

Well its time to venture out into the cold and get the bus to work. Its all good fun lol
have a good day and thanks for popping by

Happy birthday from Chocolate Baroque

Good morning my lovelies, hope your'e having a good week. I've been a bit quiet on the blogging front as I've not been too well but I'm back this morning with a card made using the beautiful new stamps Mackintosh Windows  from Chocolate Baroque and fantasy film/fibre. Like a lot of us I have a box full of Fantasy Film and Fibre that I never seem to use and also have a bag of scraps and off cuts so I thought I'd use some up to give this lovely lady a bit of bling. The focal image is from the new stamp set Mackintosh Windows, you can find it here

The background is made with distresss inks (Peacock Feathers, Everngreen Bough and Seedless Preserves) applied to my craft mat, misted with water and then by swooshing some white card stock through the inky puddle several time.
The focal image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo black and coloured with Graph'It Markers, inked around the edges and matted on white and then black card.
I made the film/fibre embellishments by taking a small piece of Fantasy Film layering up lots of little scraps of film/fibre and then holding that in place with another layer of film. I inked the stamp up with Black stazon, put the film/fibre 'sandwich' on top of that and then a layer of baking parchment. Lastly I ironed it on a medium heat. I don't have a craft iron so I use my ordinary iron with the steam turned off.

To finish off i've stamped the sentiment from the new 'Mackintosh Sentiments' set - some gorgeous fonts on there!! And I've added some little gems and a purple bow

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Crafting from the Heart: anything goes/ use flowers
Divas by Design: rubber stamps only
Love to Create: make it sparkle
Shopping our Stash: make your own embellishment

thanks for visiting today
