Hello friends, well its time for another challenge at Fashionable Stamping Challenges and this time we want to see 'Anything but a card'. If the entries to our last challenge are anything to go by, we'll be blown away by all your fabulous creations!
As always we have a fab prize from our regular sponsor, the lovely Marina from Cottage Crafts so pop on over to the challenge blog to find out more and to be inspired by the amazingly gorgeous project from my Fashionable teamies!
I've made an altered book, a paperback for a change. Its the first time i've altered a paperback and I really enjoyed it. I cut the apertured in the pages and coated the edges generously with cheapie PVA glue. Once it was dry I gave it a coat of gesso and then lilac and mint green acrylic paints. Once that was dry, I used tattered angels masks and glimmer mists (timeless lilac and Lily Pad)
Then I got out some of my favourite stamps and had a play, the verse, music and harlequin background are from Chocolate Baroque. I stamped them all with black versafine and added some stamped ink splodges and some dots of Ranger black enamel accents. I stamped the moths (also from Chocolate Baroque) on to fantasy film, and layered them up with silicone.
The quirky fairies are from Stampers Anonymous, I hvae to confess I''ve had these stamps for years but this is the first time they've seen any ink. I've coloured them with Derwent Inktense pencils and cut out, again I've used fantasy film for the wings. i'veattached the standing fairy with an acetate 'n' to make her float above the surface.To finish off I took some of the book pages and die cut flowers with Crealies, spritzed them with timeless lilac glimmer mist and added some gems to the centre.
I've only taken one pic as the glimmer mists are very camera shy and I've had a terrible job to get one half decent photo.
I'm entering my altered book in the following challenges;
City Crafter Challenge: going 3D
Delightful Challenges: Make it dimensional
Fab'n'Funky: die cuts/punches
Fairy Fun Friday: sugar and spice
Oldie but goodie: wings
Pixie Dust Studio: Anything but a card
Polka Doodles: handmade flower
Secret Crafter: Anything goes as long as it sparkles
Stamp insanity: anything but a card
Wags'n'Whiskers: handmade
thanks for visiting today
