For this card, I've used Crafty Ann's fabulous Venetian Mask 3 and the blue backing paper from Ann's Mottled Stone Collection 2. I've printed the mask onto a sheet of the mottled stone BP for the mask base and then printed the mask twice on some plain card which was coloured with gold and yellow shades of promarkers. I then cut out the yellow layers and triple embossed them before adding some blue dots with my Viva Pearl Pen. The layers were then decoupaged up with some silicone glue.
The base card is ivory pearlescent card stock with a layer of blue mirri silk card. I then added a layer of the blue mottled stone BP which I'd distressed with some stormy skies DI (I also added some yummy mica flakes to this layer with some pva glue). I popped some strips of blue mirri silk through my cuttlebug and rubbed over some gold metallic paste to highight the embossing.
I added some blue mirri silk behind the eyes of the mask and added a couple of gold gems for eyes.
I'm also entering this card in this weeks challenge from City Crafters. Ann's fabulous image is perfect for their Venice photo inspiration challenge this week
I do hope you're going to join us over at Crafty Ann's Challenge Blog for this fun challenge, I'm really looking forward to seeing all your 'Embossed' creations
Thanks for looking
