Princess Oceana

Tuesday again and that means it time for my DT card for Michelle Perkett Studios. Princess Oceana is Michelle's signature image and she is the most beautiful mermaid! You can find her in Michelle's Etsy store. I decided to give her blonde hair for this card and to keep the card pretty simple to make the image stand out.

Princess Oceana is coloured with promarkers and i've added pearls and blue gems to her hair with viva pearl and gloss pens. I've also added some teeny tiny little shells from my stash although they don't show up too well in the pic, you can see them a little better here

The image is edged with gold krylon pen as is the pale blue mat. I got the idea for the background from the one of the Clarity Stamp project sheets. Its quite simple and give a beautiful 'watery' effect. I've brayered big &juicy waterfall inkpad over glossy card, spritzed generously with water and the covered with crumpled cling film. and left to dry. To finish off i've added some white ribbon from Crafty Ribbons, some shells and some faux pearls with a viva pearl pen.

I'm entering Princess Oceana in the following challenges:
Crafts and Me: Under the sea
Crafty Cardmakers Spotlight: Make your own designer paper
Crafty Creations: Baby blue
Our daily bread: Leather or pearls

Today there is another challenge over at Michelle Perkett Studios, this week its Shelley's team's challenge and they have a fab theme lined up - use green/ St Patty's Day so pop over and check out the fabulous work from Shelley and the rest of her team of talented mermaids!!
