Guess Who's Rainbow Lady's Guest Designer???

Yes its little old me!! How chuffed was I when Cynthia asked me to to be her guest over on Rainbow Lady's challenge blog. I love Cynthia's challenges, they are always a real inspiration.  I'm the worlds biggest ditherer though so choosing a theme for the challenge was a tricky one for me, until I came across a sprig of lavender while sorting out my craft room and thought that 'Lavender and Lace' would be a good theme. Heres my card

The background is made with Ecogreen paints - a base layer of silver, then homebase crackle glaze, then a layer of lilac. For the border, I squidged B&J Mountain meadow ink pad on my craft mat, added a spray of water to colour some white card. I then overstamped with a lavender stamp and dusted with cosmic shimmer mica powders in green and lilac. I added some lavender lace and some purple velvet ribbon. The image is a Crafters Companion Stamp, coloured with promarkers and jazzed up a little with some stickles. The mats are cut on my cricut and edged with promarkers.
I've used a sentiment from Elusive Images and added the lavender, some paper roses from my stash and a velvet bow. Isn't velvet ribbon hard to tie??? I love the stuff but always end up tying myself in knots trying to get a decent bow lol
Anyway,I'm entering my little lavender fairy in this months Sir Stampalot Challenge which is 'Lazy Hazy Days of Summer' as just the smell of lavender reminds me of summer days. The lavender in my garden is beautiful at the minute, the bees are really enjoying it too. And this weeks challenge at Flutter by Wednesday which is to use lots of layers - as well as layers of card, I've got layers of lace and layers of paint too!

Thanks for popping by, I hope you like my Lavender and Lace card and are inspired to join us this week at Rainbow Lady's Challenge Blog.
