Good morning isn't it nice to have a proper summer for a change? It looks like another sunny day so hopefully I'll be home from work in good time to enjoy some sunshine. I really enjoy making these little hanging hearts and to me summer is all about flower and friendship so I've used some of my favourite stamps on this one, from Fragrant Honeysuckle by Chocolate Baroque. I have a huge honeysuckle in the garden, a pair of blackbirds nest in it every spring and in the summer its full of bees.
I started off with a background made with acrylic paint, lightly stamped with a fabric texture stamp from Indigo Blu. I stamped the honeysuckle images with memento ink and coloured them with Graph'It markers before giving the piece a coat of spray sealer. The back of the heart began with the same background and stamped the sentiment from Indigo Blu with versamark and embossed with gold EP. Here's a pic of the back:
I've edged the heart with gold acrylic paint to finish off.
I'm entering this heart in the following challenges:
Craft Room Challenge: heat embossing
Crazy Challenge: summertime
Happy Campers: Summer
Kaboodle doodles: ink or paint
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge:Ode to Sunshine
