Anything Creative/Mixed Media Goes at We Love 2 Create

Good morning folks, how's your weekend going? It's been a bit chaotic here so I haven't had a lot of time for crafting but it's so quick and easy to create a little scenic card with my PanPastels I found a few minutes to make my DT project for our 'Anything Creative/Mixed Media Goes' challenge over at We Love 2 Create. As always we've got some gorgeous crafty goodies for our lucky winner thanks to our generous sponsors Premium Craft Brands and you don't have to use our products to enter.

I've made this little scene with some stamps given to me by a friend, I began by applying Turquoise PanPastel to the top 2/3 of the card and blending it with Transparent blender. I stamped the grass/flower stamp with versamark and applied Yellow Green Shade PanPastel, adding Red and Ultramarine Blue to the flowers. I used a pencil eraser to create the clouds and used a little Paynes Grey PanPastel to give them a bit of dimension. I stamped the sentiment, birds and butterfly with black versafine ink and doodles a border around the edge to finish off.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Crafting with friends: Anything goes
Creative Fingers: Anything goes
Simply Papercraft: Anything goes
Southern Girls: Anything goes

Thanks so much for visiting today, hope to see you again soon

Good morning folks, isn't it strange that the weekend always seems to take ages to arrive but the months disappear in the blink of an eye? I can't believe it's July already but it is so that means it's time for a new challenge at Eclectic Ellapu and this month the Pink team have a nice easy 'Anything Goes' theme for you. The flower filled tea cup is from the Lavender Tea Collection available as a CD or a download. I printed the image several times and had a happy hour cutting out all the flowers, curling the petals and decoupaging them up.

I inked the edges of the layers and added a little glamour dust. To finish off I've added a ribbon, some stamped flowers and little pearls and gems.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Next, I painted the scene with distress inks and added some waves with a white pen. The sentiment is from Seaside Dreams, stamped with versamark and embossed with white embossing powder.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Anything Creative/Mixed Media Goes at We love 2 create!

Good morning folks, how's your weekend going? It's a bit grey and miserable so that's all the excuse I need to play in my craft room. We've got a new challenge starting at We Love 2 Create and as always our theme is 'Anything Creative/Mixed Media Goes' so there's no excuse not to join in, especially as our lucky winner will receive some fabulous crafty stash from Premium Craft Brands.

I've used a 12x12 canvas to create this project. I used the  beautiful Gardenia stencil from Prima and PanPastels for the lovely lady. PanPastels are perfect for this kind of project as they are so forgiving and blend beautifully.

I used PanPastels in shades of turquoise to create the background and then stencilled over the top with another Prima stencil and white gesso to create a subtle floral effect.

Next I added some more stencilling using a harlequin stencil and black gesso. Once that was dry I applied Fine Black Pearl PanPastel medium around the edges, blending it over the background to highlight the stencilling.

To preserve her modesty I gave her a dress made from white polkadot tulle with some resin flowers that I'd coloured with acrylic paint. The roses were a real bargain from the pound shop! I love a bargain lol.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:
Alphabet Challenge: hand coloured image
Craft your Passion: Anything goes
Simply Papercraft: Anything goes

Thanks so much for visiting today, hope to see you again soon

Beautiful Blooms at Fashionable Stamping Challenges

Hi there my lovelies, I hope you're having a good weekend. It's time for our new challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenges and this month our theme is 'Beautiful Blooms'. My teamies have lots of gorgeous artwork to inspire you and we've got a fab prize up for grabs from our generous sponsor Flonzcraft too! Don't forget though we're a stamping challenge so no digi stamps are allowed.

I've altered a little heartshaped  album cover for my project, using stamps from Indigo Blu. I began with a coat of white gesso and then once that was dry I added acrylic paints in blues and greens. Next came some stencilling using a flower stencil from Indigo Blu and an old favourite chicken wire stencil from Dutch Doobadoo.

I stamped the flower stamp on tissue paper with blue versafine ink and applied with with matte medium and then stamped again on acetate but emobossed with sparkly silver EP. I cut the flowers out, painted the backs with acrylic paint and layered them up with silicone glue.

I added some enamel dots to the centre of the stamped flowers and then went to town adding paper flowers, faux moss, berries, ribbon and lace.
Everything was going nicely until I stamped the sentiment (again from Indigo Blu) on tissue and realised it wouldn't fit grrrrrrrr! I just cut it up and applied it to either side of my image, I'm such a bodget lol.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:

Allsorts: Fancy ribbon and bows
Crafting for all seasons: make it girly
Dream Valley: vintage
Frilly and funkie: let the words do the talking
Incy Wincy: alter something

Good morning my lovelies, its our new challenge over at We Love 2 Create and as usual our theme is 'Anything Creative/Mixed Media Goes'. You don't have to use our products to play along and our lucky winner will receive some gorgeous goodies thanks to our generous sponsors Premium Craft Brands.

I've altered an MDF heart to create a summery project. I began with a coat of white gesso and covered part of the heart with a dictionary page, Once that was dry I used a Dutch Doobadoo rose stencil to create the roses down the left hand side using my PanPastels (links to colours I've used are at the bottom of this post). I sealed the colour with a little hairspray and then replaced the stencil and added a layer of Maimeri Glassy Gel medium. I removed the stencil, applied a layer of microbeads and left it to dry. Here's a close up of the lovely sparkle this technique creates.

Once that was dry I added the stamped flowers, usingFloribunda Net from Chocolate Baroque, coloured with PanPastels. The sentiment is from Rose Stem Script, also from Chocolate Baroque. I've using gilding wax around the edge of the hart.  I've added a little metal butterfly, some pearl trim, pink ribbon topped with a little button.

Tangled Baroque Ornament

Good morning folks, my project today is a little tag made with one of the gorgeous new stamps from Chocolate Baroque. This one is called Tangled Baroque Ornament but there are a whole selection of these beautiful mandalas, you can find them here.

I began with a piece of card from my scrap pile, it had a crackled background but I didn't like the colour so I recycled it by applying metallic acrylic paints and once they were dry I lightly applied some gilding wax to highlight the crackle.

I stamped the image four times and embossed with gold embossing powder and then painted them with distress inks (I used Peeled Paint, Forest Moss, Wilted Violet and Picked Raspberry). I cut the layers out and layered them up with 3d foam pads. To finish off I added some die cut swirls and a little scrap of rainbow ribbon attached with a brad.

Midsummer at Eclectic Ellapu

Good afternoon folks, I've lost track of the days this week so this post should have been up this morning but better late than never. I've got a week off work so I'm totally out of my routine, not that I'm complaining lol. Today's car is for our new challenge  over at Eclectic Ellapu, the pink team have a fabulous Midsummer theme for you. Not that it's anything like midsummer in my little corner of the country, in fact it's more like November than June.
I've made a little scene card using the beautiful Landscape Edges from Chocolate Baroque. I wanted to capture the slightly misty light of a lovely summer morning and so I used distress markers to colour the stamps, lightly misted with water before stamping the images. I added a wee bit more colour with disterss markers to caret the grass and add some definition to the fence. The sentiment is from Words of Inspiration, also from Chocolate Baroque

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Aud Sentiments: anything goes with a sentiment
Crafting from the Heart: Anything goes
