All about paper at Premium Craft Brands

Good morning my lovelies, time for a new challenge at Premium Craft Brands PanPastel UK Challenge and this week its all about paper and card, so its a nice easy challenge. As always there is a fab prize from our generous sponsor Premium Art Brands and of course my teamies have created some gorgeous projects to inspire you so pop along to the challenge blog to find all the deets. I've created a little wall hanging:

The little birdie is stamp from Stampendous, I stamped him on to grey Pastel Board and coloured him with PanPastels and a paper stump. This is one of my all time favourite stamps, he is soooo cute isn't he?

I keeping with our Paper/Card theme I did lots of die cutting with sizzix dies and coloured them up with PanPastels, adding lots of the metallic PanPastels and a little clear crackle paint.

I popped them all on some corrugated card from some packaging which I dry brushed with Maimeri Gesso and sprinkled with a little glitter.

A gift for Christmas with Polkadoodles

Good morning folks, I hope you're all warm and safe in this awful weather. I've got a short day at work today with any luck so hopefully the weekend will start at lunch time for me yipppeeeee. This morning though we've got a new challenge starting at PolkaDoodles and we're making Christmas gifts. As always there's a fab prize for our lucky winner and my teamies have created some amazing projects so hop over to the challenge blog for all the deets.

I've made a pretty flower pin using printable canvas and one of the beautiful papers from Here Comes Christmas Cd, I loved the paper so much I printed some more off and used it to decorate a little gift box and a card. The image is also from the same cd, isn't she adorable? I've coloured her up with Graph'It Markers.

Peony from Chocolate Baroque

Good morning, goodness me Glenda has released some gorgeous new stamp over at Chocolate Baroque, as well as some stunning Steampunk Birds, there are 4 beautiful clear flower stamps. for my first sample this month I've used the beautiful Peony Clear stamp for this card, peonies are one of my favourite flowers and I couldn't resist sitting this lovely little fairy from the September Fairies set on one of the flowers

I created the background with Picked Raspberry and a little Shabby Shutters distress inks, I popped some on my ink blending mat, misted with water and swooshed the card through it, once dry I stamped the peony here and there with more Picked Raspberry ink.

To create the focal image I stamped the fairy with black ink, (I only inked up the fairy, not the toadstools) and then masked her to stamp the flowers. I coloured the flowers with Graph'It markers and then used some Fantasy Film from my stash to stamp the wing and attached it with a little silicone glue. I used a shaving brush to dust ink around the image and matted it on white and then black card. To finish off I added some black lace, ribbon  and a little button from my stash.

Cold and Frosty Colours at Flonzcraft Vintage Stamping Challenges

Good morning folks, Monday again and also time for a new challenge at Flonzcraft Vintage Stamping Challenges where our theme is 'Cold and Frosty' colours. Apologies for the dodgy photos, the colours are a bit weird and everything is at weird angles for some reason 

I've made a background with Chocolate Baroque snowflakes stamped and embossed with sparkly white ep on a distress ink background. I've layered it up over kraft card using a template from Which Craft. I love these little box cards, they are perfect for little pressies, I've made some UTEE pendants for my friends so I'll pop one in here and its a card and pressie in one.

I've added some die cuts, a little wooden heart, some tiny berries and some tiny pine cones from Live and Love Crafts. The sentiment reads 'Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas' and is a stamp from Crafters Companion, I'll be singing that song all day now lol

 The front cover is a stamp from Flonzcraft, love this little scene! I've added some tiny pompom trim and icy blue seambinding from the Ribbon Girl, topped with a button and a tiny twine bow.

Winter Wonderland at PanPastel UK

Good morning my lovelies, hows your weekend going? Christmas is sneaking up on us very quickly so my project today is another Christmas card - its my DT offering for Premium Craft Brands PanPastel Challenge and our theme is 'Winter Wonderland' with a colour palette of metallics plus one other colour - I've used just white, silver and pewter PanPastels to create this little scene.

I've used some grey pastel mat to create this little scene. I began by creating the moon and sky with white silver and pewter PanPastels. Next I added the snow with silver PanPastel and stamped in the images with Andy Skinner Stamps and Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Next I added some 'drifts' to the snow with white PanPastel and added some white to the roof of the house and the tree branches. then I used the corner of a Sofft sponge to add the shadows and lastly, a little sparkle with a Graph'It Glitter Shake pen in silver

In the holiday spirit at Fashionable Stamping Challenges

Hello there, can you believe its December 1st already? I definitely must be getting old as time seems to be whizzing by. Its time for a new challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenges and this time our theme has been chosen by my lovely DT sister Terry who wants us to get in the 'holiday spirit'. That doesn't have to be Christmas though, so there's lots of scope. As always we've got a great prize from our lovely sponsor Leo at Flonzcraft so ink up those stamps to be in with a chance to join us.

I've made a Christmas card using one of the gorgeous stamps from the Flonzcraft 'Christmas Songs' set which you can find here (a right bargain as you get about 10 stamps for less than £4!), I've added some colour with Graph'It markers and added some glitter to the snow on the tree. I've distressed the edges with antique linen DI and matted on some kraft card. The gorgeous bp is from Craftwork cards, as are the die cut snowflakes and matching candi which have a touch of platinum stickles here and there for a bit of sparkle. The ribbon and lace are from The Ribbon Girl and to finish off i've added a couple of buttons and some twine.

Vintage and Polka Dots at Graph'It Colour Challenge

Good morning my lovelies, phew Friday already so that means a brand new challenge over at Graph'It Colour Challenge so pop over to the challenge blog to find out all about the fabby prize and check out the gorgeous colouring from my lovely teamies.

I've raided my box of Christmas papers for this card so I'm not sure where they are from, the image is from the Polkadoodles CD Angelberry Christmas and coloured her up with my Graph'Its - the list of colours is over on the Graph'It blog. I've used a blender pen to create the white polkadots on her little dress, I love this effect. To finish off I've added an assortment of die cuts, some rolled roses, raffia lace, ribbon, and a bow topped off with a button and some twine

Fragment Mannequin

Good morning folks, I don't know about you but I'm getting a bit 'Christmassed out' so here's a mixed media project for a change. I've decorated a little mannequin with Ranger Tissue Wrap and the gorgeous 'Nature Fragments' stamps from Chocolate Baroque.

Firstly I primed the mannequin with white gesso and gave it a coat of cream acrylic paint

I stamped the leafy fragment on to the tissue wrap with red stazon ink and then adhered the tissue to the mannequin with Maimeri Matte gel Medium.

I've added red lace, ribbon, some sparkly trim for a belt and also a little faux pearl necklace, The flowers are made from UTEE and a silicone mould

Fairy dust from Chocolate Baroque

Good morning my lovelies, todays card is  another sample created using the beautiful Winter Fairy Collection from Chocolate Baroque. As soon as I saw these stamps I pictured the fairies flying around in a circle scattering fairy dust as they went.

I began by blending distress inks on some white card (I used Peeled Paint, Tumbled Glass, Broken Chine, Shaded Lilac) and then stamped  the swirls from the January stamp set around the edges. Once the background was dry I stamped the fairies (also from the January set) and the fairy dust (from February) with versamark and then embossed with a sparkly white embossing powder.

The sentiment is from Damask Reindeer, again embossed with the same embossing powder and die cut with Spellbinders, dusting a little more embossing powder around the edges. To finish off I added a bow and some little pearls in the corners.

A Day for Daisies

Good morning folks, well as always the weekend has whizzed by and its back to work again. I had a lovely time at the weekend, feet up watching tv, eating maltesers and colouring up some gorgeous images. This beauty is from A day for Daisies, isn't she adorable?

I've coloured her with Graph'It markers and stamped the sentiment in black ink. I added a little sparkle to her wings with a Gold Graph'It shake pen, omg these pens are soooooooo sparkly! I didn't want to add lots of embellies to detract from the image so I just matted her on some coordinating card.

Mixing it up at Premium Craft Brands ...

Hi there folks, hasn't the last week flown? Its time for a new challenge at PanPastel UK, there's a fab prize up for grabs from our lovely sponsor Berni at Your Creativity Store and as always my talented teamies have created some gorgeous projects to inspire you.

 

I've made a Christmas card, I used silver PanPastel mixed with water in a mini- mister bottle and spritzed on to some black card, and used my fingers to splatter some more of the mixture on. Then I overstamped with a Stampers Anonymous snowflake stamp and versmark and applied some gold PanPastel. 

I made the little tree from scraps of cream card, I stamped them with a music stamp and versamark and coloured some with black PanPastel and some with Permanent Red, I used cheap hairspray to seal the Pans and then rolled the scraps into little rolls, cut them to size and glued them to my background. I added a pot and a trunk and popped a little red bow on the pot. Now any Cristmas tree has to have some baubles so I added some Doodle Dewdrops and a little bark star that I'd coloured with gold PanPastel.

To finish off I stamped the 'Rockin around the Christmas Tree' sentiment (from Chocolate Baroque), snipped it up and popped it on the card.

Edges and Baubles from Chocolate Baroque

Hi there folks and a warm welcome to my new followers. Well I've got all those nasty housey jobs done so I've turned the heating up and I'm going to put my feet up on the sofa and watch some tv. Before I go though, I wanted to share this little Christmas project made using the gorgeous Christmas and Winter Edges from Chocolate Baroque

I decided to make some bunting to hang across my mantelpiece at Christmas so I set to cutting out assorted bauble shapes from sturdy white card with Spellbinders dies and painted them with pebeo acrylic paints. Once the were dry I used the edge stamps with flitterglu and gold, brown and blue glitter from my stash. I love the way the flitterglu picks up all the detail. I used post its to mask areas on the baubles and again used Flitterglu and glitter to add some interest to the baubles. I used some seam binding ribbon to string them together and they're ready to go

Christmas Carols at PolkaDoodles

Good evening all, Friday already so its time for a fab new challenge at Polkadoodles and this week we're all feeling very Christmassy, My teamies have come up with some amazing projects so do pop over to the challenge blog and have a peek, while you're there you can find out all about the fab prize too.

I've made a little door hanger using my favourite polkadot papers from Angelberry Christmas CD and a sentiment and embellies from Here Comes Christmas CD, the images have been coated with Glossy Accents and I've added some Doodle Dewdrops and a few dots of gold stickles too. I love the little verse, Nikky always put so much thought in to the sentiments and verses on her cds

Sparkly snowflakes from Chocolate Baroque

Good morning folks, todays card is a super quick and easy card made using the delicate snowflakes from Winter Edges by Chocolate Baroque.

My original plan was just to stamp the snowflakes with a waterfall Big'n'Juicy inkpad and keep it CAS but I couldn't resist adding some faux gems and of course some seam binding ribbon

Twit twoo with Premium Craft Brands and PolkaDoodles

Good morning my lovelies, don't you just LOVE owls?? They are so cute and this stamp from Polkadoodles is adorable (you can find him here) He works a treat with this lovely Owl mask from Premium Craft Brands

The background was made with yellow green PanPastel overstamped with Lavinia leaf stamps and Memento Inks. The image was coloured with PanPastels and a paper stump. I've die cut the image and layered it up over a lattice die cut and added paper flowers, ribbon, a button and a little owl charm. 

Inside the card I've used the same background and the gorgeous Pronty mask and Metallic PanPastels with another die cut to write the greeting on. I added some white gel pen to the owls' eyes and some sparkly gems to finish off.
