Fairyland at PanPastel UK

Good morning my lovelies, I'm planning a day in the garden, tackling those dreaded weeds, not an easy task with a labrador puppy 'helping' lol. Before I venture out in to the wilderness  garden here's my project for our new Fairyland challenge at PanPastel UK. As always there is a PanPastel starter set up for grabs from our generous sponsor Berni at Your Creativity Store.

I've made a little canvas, the background was created with PanPastels in Violet and Violet tint, with Maimeri Iridescent Paste applied through a Crafters Workshop template for some fairy shimmer. I've used a digi image from Laviniai stamps, coloured her with Graph'It Markers and adhered the image with Maimeri Matte Gel medium. To add some more texture I applied some Maimeri Light modelling paste around the image and around the edges of the canvas, coloured with PanPastel and a sprinkle of Glamour dust.. You can see the image better in this pic:

Next I've added another fairy, this time a clear stamp from Lavinia, stamped on tissue paper and applied to the canvas with Mamieri matte gel.  The butterfly is from the Ribbon Girl, painted with Maimeri gesso and highlighted with Treasure Gold. 

To finish off I've added some 'frantage' around the edges, I made my own mixture with assorted embossing powders, glitter, micro beads and some tiny iridescent stars.

Anything goes at Fashionable Stamping Challenges

Hi there, I've got another clock project to share with you, this time its my project for our new challenge, 'Anything Goes' at Fashionable Stamping Challenges. Our lucky winner will receive a fabby prize from our generous sponsor Leo at Flonzcraft so don't miss out! 

I've used a circular mdf clock blank, and created a background with acrylic paint. The stamps are all from Flonzcraft, stamped with Timber Brown Stazon and then masked to stamp the numbers which have been given the gilding flake treatment.

I've added some fab fishing net to the back of the clock (love this stuff, I got it from Joanna Sheen and its great for nautical themed projects), I've also added lots of little shells:

Things with wings at NMWC

Good afternoon folks, hope your bank holiday weekend has got off to a good start. The weather is a bit iffy here but at least its not snowing so I shouldn't complain lol. We've got a new challenge starting over at No Matter Which Challenges and this month our theme is 'Things with Wings' .

I've done a couple of courses with My Creative Classroom and they have been fab, so don't miss out on a chance to win.

Anyway back to my project, I've used a cog clock from Indigo Blu, primed with gesso and then created a background with acrylic paints in pastels colours. I stamped the flowers and butterflies, masking as I went along to create a circle around the clock and then masked them all to stamp the numbers. I've stamped the numbers and the cog design in the centre with Flitter Glu and gilded them with Royal Peacock gilding flames (the hands of the clock also got the same treatment.

I coloured the flowers with Promarkers and then used Broken China distress ink and a water brush around the flowers to give them a bit of dimension. You can see the detail a bit better in this pic:

Flower challenge at indigo Blu

Good morning all, some slightly dodgy pics of today's project, its really shimmery and I do struggle to get a decent pic of anything with a bit of shimmer, hence the dodgy angles on some of the pics lol. I've made a hanging heart for my entry in to this months challenge at Indigo Blu where the theme is 'Flowers'

I began by painting the A5 mdf heart with black gesso and then stamped Blazing Poppies (just love this stamp, sooooo detailed and pretty) with versamark and embossed with Gold EP. I also stamped the image on Neenah card a couple of times too and coloured the flowers in with promarkers.

Next came the Kroma crackle, coloured with turquoise PanPastel and a little spray of turquoise dylusions too. I absolutely adore Kroma crackle, such a fab-u-lous effect! Once it was dry I added a little Viva Precious Metal Paint and then higlighted the crackle with some gold ink (I'd blobbed a load on my craft mat while I was edging the heart with my krylon pen so waste not want not lol)

I've layered the flowers up, with a dewdrop and some black glitter in the centre of the poppies and a tiny dot of enamel accents in the centre of the forget-me-nots. 

To finish off i've added some turquoise ribbon and then a happy accident - I was sorting out a ginormous pile of bits and bobs on my worktable and had stuff everywhere, once it was almost put away I spotted that a tassel and a little chinese coin charm had ended up on this heart - serendipity as they say!

Sentimental Inspiration at Fashionable Stamping Challenges

Good morning folks, how's your week going? My card this morning is an inspiration project for our 'Sentimental' challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenges, our lucky winner will receive a $20 voucher from our lovely sponsor Leo at 'Flonzcraft' so you've got to be in it to win it!!

I've created a fairly simple card using this beautiful stamp 'Girl on a Windy Hill' from Flonzcraft, she's been coloured with promarkers and matted up on some card, edges with a little picked raspberry DI. I made the background by running the lovely Fancier Lattice mask (from SplodgeAway) through my brand spanking new Grand Caliber, I inked the mask up first with some more picked raspberry using my brayer. I nearly didn't buy this ink as I wasn't sure if I'd use such a bright pink but its such a pretty colour with the brayer that I'm pleased I got it.

To finish off i've added a Chocolate Baroque Sentiment, a seam binding bow and a rolled paper flower made with spellbinders dies.

A bit of glueing and sticking...

Good morning my lovelies, my project today is a little mannequin for a change and guess what? I haven't used a single stamp! its not like me at all but I had some pretty napkins and I thought the colours would be perfect for a spring project.

I primed the mannequin with gesso and then gave it a coat of cream acrylic paint. Once that was dry I applied the flowers from the napkin with Maimeri Matte Gel Medium and left it to dry (don't ask how long it took me to cut the flowers out lol) Next I applied Maimeri Light modelling paste through a Crafters Workshop Harlequin template, once it was dry I added flitter glu and gilding flakes to highlight the pattern. 

I gave her a skirt made from tulle and some beautiful beaded lace trim. I also gave her a seam binding ribbon belt with a little pearl buckle and a necklace made with pearl string from the Ribbon Girl.  I added some utee roses to finish off.

Thank you Inspiration at Vintage Stamping Challenges

Good morning all, and a very happy Monday to you :-) I'm heading off to work in a minute but before I get  my nose to the grindstone I just wanted to share a card made for an inspiration post for our 'Thank you' Challenge at Vintage Stamping Challenges. Our lovely sponsor Leo from Flonzcraft has a $20 voucher up for grabs, so don't miss out!

I've used a bp from my stash, toned down with some watered down gesso and I've added faux stitching around the edges. The gorgeous image is from Flower Kingdom and i've used the pretty border stamp to create the border. The images have been coloured with promarkers and flexmarkers and i've used PanPastels to create a cloudy sky in the background. The sentiment is one of my favourite stamps from Chocolate Baroque. 

I've layered the image up over some cheesecloth, organza ribbon and lace. I've added lots of paper flowers, brushed with gesso and sprinkled with glamour dust.

 The beautiful vintage postcards are from the Gecko Galz and the butterfly charm is from the Ribbon Girl. To finish off i've added some faux pearls.

Bright colours at Lavinia Stamps

Hi there, how's your weekend been? I've had a lovely lazy, crafty day today (although I do feel a bit guilty as I should have been weeding lol). I decided to have a play with my Lavinia stamps for this months Lavinia challenge which is to use Bright Colours.

I printed off the little fairy houses and stamped the tree and the fairy and coloured the images using Graph'It markers and Flex markers. I created the grass with markers and then added the sky and a ray of sunshine using PanPastels. I also added some more grass with the edge of an angle slice sofft sponge. Next job with to stamp the foliage using memento ink. To finish off I just used an eraser to life off the PanPastel and create a dappled effect in the ray of sunshine and also to remove any PanPastel that had gone on to the image - thats the beautiful of Pans with this kind of project, no masking required lol!

Dreams at PanPastel UK

Good morning folks, hope you're having a good weekend. I'm having a lazy one as I tripped over the puppy yesterday and twisted my knee, ouch! Still its a good excuse not to tackle the weeding lol. We've got a new challenge over at PanPastel UK and this week our theme is 'Dreams'.  As usual our lucky winner will receive a fab PanPastel Starter set from our lovely sponsor Berni over at Your Creativity Store.

I've used this gorgeous digi from Sweet Pea Stamps, she's by Ching Chou Kuik and she's called 'Poppy from the Mist', I think she looks like she's day dreaming - perfect for our challenge so I've created a dream of fairyland in the background. The background was created with PanPastels, Memento inks and Lavinia Stamps. The image was coloured with Graph'It Markers and PanPastels, the flowers look a bluey shade but in real life they are much more purple. Why can't I take pictures of purple? Answers on a postcard please lol :-)

Maimeri embellishments

Good morning my lovelies, and a big warm welcome to my new followers. One more day at work and the weekend is here yippppeeeee! Before I dash off to work, I wanted to share another sample I created for the 'Sentational Stencilling' shows on Create and Craft featuring the gorgeous new masks by Pronty which i've combined with Maimeri Mediums, PanPastels and Graph'It Markers.

I've used a real assortment of techniques for this little shadow box. The frame was made using light modelling paste applied through a Pronty Mask and coloured with permanent red tint PanPastel. I lined the inside of the box with a scrap of card stamped with a harlequin stamp by Indigo Blue, The lady is one of my favourite stamps from Crafty Individuals, coloured with Graph'It markers and liberally glamour dusted. At the top of the frame I tied a large bow and in the centre I've added a little cameo - I got a few of these from fleabay but they were all black and white so this one got a coat of Maimeri gesso and a dusting of Permanent red tint PanPastel. 

The heart embellie was made using Maimeri Iridescent paste and a Chocolate Baroque stamp, I'm going to do a tutorial for this technique on the PanPastel DT blog so once its live i'll add a link.

Here's a pic of the little frame in the bottom right, I got a few of these from the pound shop, its had the Gesso and PanPastel treatment. I popped a little stamped image inside and then added some flowers and beady trim, again liberally gesso'd and glamour dusted

Stamping on fabric

Good morning folks, hope you're having a good week so far. My card this morning features the beautiful new  'Indian Elephant' stamps from Chocolate Baroque. I just love these stamps, they shout out for lots of rich vibrant colours!

I began by creating a frame from black card with a border punch. I stamped the flower with versamark and embossed with gold embossing powder. Inside the frame I used a piece of card covered with layers of chiffon, I used a pokey tool to fray the layers to add a little interest. I used the same stamp but this time I used gold stazon, I stamped the smaller motif with black stazon. I wasn't sure if the stazon would work but I didn't have any fabric ink pads so I just had a play and I was really pleased with the effect.

The topper is a stampboard ATC, I created the background with clayboard inks and embossed the delicate image with black embossing powder.

To finish off I added a little ribbon and a gold metal corner from my stash.

Fairy caught in crystal

Good morning folks, I've got another sample from the C&C shows today, this one features the fab new Pronty Masks, PanPastels and Maimeri mediums., you can find all this crafty gorgeousness here at Your Creativity Store! 

I've had a couple of people ask how I created the effect behind the fairy, its the 'Caught in Crystal' technique but without all the mess that you get using floor polish! I began by adding some color to copier paper using PanPastels, I sprinkled on some glitter and some tiny stars and set it to one side while I stamped the acetate. The gorgeous fairy is from Lavinia Stamps, she's stamped on the acetate using black stazon ink, once the ink was dry I turned it over and and brushed on plenty of Maimeri Glassy Gel. I then laid the acetate over the paper and glitter etc and smoothed it down so the gel was in contact with the paper and left it to dry. you can see the effect better in this pic:

While the background was drying, I die cut a circle from a shaped card blank and then coloured the  frame using PanPastels applied through a Pronty Mask. The unicorn and mushrooms are Chocolate Baroque stamps, coloured with Graph'it markers and cut out before being layered up over the aperture.

To finish off i've added some little paper flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, a bow and a little 'ticket to fairyland' sentiment, this was a free stamp from Craft Stamper a couple of years ago and I thought it was perfect with this card.

I'm not sure if life is passing me by.....

Good morning folks and a big warm welcome to my new followers, its lovely to 'meet' you and it really means a lot that you've joined my merry band of followers. My card this morning is one of my samples from the C&C show last week featuring the scrummy new Pronty Masks, if you missed the show do check out the masks at Your Creativity Store or watch the next show which is on C&C at 2pm today! Nikky Hall will be demoing the new masks, Maimeri mediums and PanPastels so its definitely one to watch. Unfortunately i'll be at work so fingers crossed the sky box will play nicely and record it for me :-)

I've used all sorts of gorgeous goodies on this card, i've used the new masks, PanPastels, Maimeri Light modelling Paste and Iridescent Paste with, of course, PanPastels. The focal image is a stamp from Indigo Blu, I love the sentiment, it really makes me chuckle :-)

I've die cut the image with nesties and layererd up the car with a nice sparkly red embossed one! Here's a better pic of the image, its stamped over a background made with the 'Spirograph' mask

To finish off I've added a little red bow and a black button

Red, White and Blue at PanPastel UK

Good morning folks, we've got a new challenge starting at PanPastel UK and this week we've gone all patriotic with a 'Red, White and Blue' theme. As always there's a fabby PanPastel starter kit up for grabs thanks to Berni, our generous sponsor from Your Creativity Store! 

It was a great excuse to have a play as i'd been wanting to mess around with tartan style background with my PanPastels. I used Permanent Red and Ultramarine Blue pans, applied with a Sofft flat sponge bar. I used my ruler to keep the lines straight and then used my ruler again to create the white lines, this time i used my dinky little battery operated pencil eraser to remove the colour and complete the pattern.

I used an assortment of stamps from Crafty individual and the Artistic Stamper along with a gorgeous image from the Gecko Galz and layered everything up, adding some pearls here and there and a little rose.

To finish off I've added a little threepenny bit charm at the top of the tag and some lace, seambinding ribbon and a button with a little twine bow at the bottom of my tag.

Sentimental at Fashionable Stamping Challenges

Hello there my lovelies, I hope you're having a good weekend so far. We've got a new challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenges and our theme, chosen by the lovely Esther  is 'Sentimental'. We're sponsored by the generous Leo, from Flonzcraft who has a $20 voucher to offer our lucky winner so ink up those stamps and get sentimental with us!

Having watched Hels on C&C a couple of weeks ago making such beautiful artwork with beeswax,  I had to have  a rummage around my craftroom for my beeswax, dust off my melting pot and have a go.  I also found my art parts and decided to make a little frame. I began by covering all the elements with some gorgeous 7 Gypsies paper and then giving it a coat of beeswax. While the beeswax was warm I stamped an Indigo Blu harlequin stamp in to it for some texture. Once it was cool i added some treasure gold to highlight the patter.

I stamped the sentiment (from Paper Artsy) on tissue with red brilliance ink and also stamped the rooftop silhouette (from Urban Landscapes Borders 1 from Flonzcraft) with black stazon. I applied them to the base with more beeswax and then set too making the flowers from 7 Gypsies paper. The flowers and some die cut leaves also got the beeswax and treasure gold treatment before I put it all together. I addded some smokey grey gems, a black seambinding bow and a seambinding ribbon topped off with a mother of pearl button and some twine.
