Halloween colours at PanPastel UK

Good morning folks, its time for a new challenge in PanPastel land and this time around our theme is Halloween colours. You don't have to use PanPastels to play along and our lucky winner will receive a fab prize of a mask and a PanPastel from our generous sponsors Premium Craft Brands

I've made a quick and easy autumn scene using Halloween colours. This was a really quick card, I just applied the pearl PanPastel in bands across the white cardstock and then lightly applied the Black pearl medium around the edges for a misty effect. Then I stamped the images (all from Lavinia Stamps) with Memento inks in Black, Bamboo leaves, Elderberry and Tangelo and matted the scene on some black card. Easy peasy :-)

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Lavinia stamps: Autumn Colours
Penny's Paper Crafty: anything goes
Sister Act: anything goes
Stempelsonnen: Autumn/Halloween

Inspired by the weather at fashionable Stamping challenges

Hi there, its challenge time at Fashionable Stamping Challenges and for the next two weeks our theme is 'inspired by the weather' chosen by little old me :-)
I do have a bit of a thing about the weather, and it means you can make anything from a snowy Christmas card to a summery scene or anything inbetween! As always our lucky winner will receive a $20 voucher from our generous sponsor Flonzcraft! Don't forget to make sure that stamping is the focus of your entry though as no digistamps are allowed!!

I've used one of my favourite stamps from Flonzcraft for this card, I love this silhouette of such an elegant lady walking her dog on a windy day (I wish I looked that elegant when i walked my dogs lol)

i've used a bp from my stash, inked around the edges with walnut stain distress ink and punched a couple of borders from scraps of some matching papers. I've stamped the image on another scrap of backing paper with Potting Soil archival ink and again inked the edges. I've layered the image up over a doily and added ribbon, a button and a bow. To finish off I've added some paper flowers, die cut swirls and some little pearls.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Brown Sugar: ribbon/button
Kitty Bee: dies/punches
Milk coffee: lots of layers
Really Reasonable Ribbon: anything goes with ribbon/trim
Sisters of Craft: anything goes

Thanks for popping by today

Chocolate Baroque Colour Challenge

Good morning my lovelies, well the last month has disappeared in the blink of an eye and its already time for a brand new challenge at Chocolate Baroque Challenge. This month we have a gorgeous colour palette to inspire you:

As always there is a fab prize of  a voucher for Chocolate Baroque goodies for our winner and of course there's the honour of a Top 3 place too. My lovely teamies have lots of inspiration for you so keep popping back to the challenge blog for a look :-)

For my card I used distress inks and Graph'It markers, I used Fired Brick, Spiced Marmalade, Victorian Velvet and Shaded Lilac and roughly brayered them in lines on my gelli plate, I added some texture with a sponge and took a print. I overstamped the print with one of my all time favourite back ground stamps from Decadent Brocade stamp sheet and dusted a little black soot distress ink around the edges.

The focal image is from the Summer Fairy Collection, coloured with Graph'It markers and distressed with the same colours of distress inks. I layered the image up on black card, punched a pretty border and decorated with some seam binding ribbon (dyed with the same distress inks).
To finish off I added some little die cut butterflies and topped the button off with a bow.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Papertake Weekly: anything with wings
Through the Craft room Door: anything goes

As always there is some fab crafty stash up for grabs for our lucky winner so pop over for all the details!

I created a little scene using my PanPAstels and copier paper masks, I've used the gorgeous new Coarse Black PanPastel Medium for the sky, this new PanPastel is amazingly sparkly - hard to take a pic but looks fab! The stamps I've used are from Indigo Blu, I've added some texture to the tree with Maimeri Light modelling paste dabbed on with the end of a paint brush and then coloured with Gold Coppe, Yellow Green Shade and Permanent Red Extra Dark PanPastel.

I've layered the scene up over some kraft card embossed with the A4 leaves stencil from Your Creativity Store and then coloured with PanPastels. I made a flower and some leaves, again using the same PanPastel colours. I've added a little paper pine cone, some berries and a button and a bow.

Autumn at Graph'It Colouring challenge

Hi there folks, goodness me I'm running late. I've had such a hectic week I totally forgot to schedule this post but better late than never. We've got a new challenge starting at Graph'It Colouring Challenge and our theme is 'Autumn', you don't have to use Graph'Its to play along and our lucky winner will receive some gorgeous Graph'It goodies to play with!

I've made a canvas for my DT project. I printed the gorgeous image (Octavia thinking from Polkadoodles) onto printable canvas paper and coloured her with my Graph'it markers - pop over to the challenge blog to see a full list of colours used.

I stencilled a background using my PanPastels and stamped some leaves in distress inks. Next I used a leaf stencil and Maimeri Iridescent Medium to create more leaves and left it to dry. Once it was dry I coloured the leaves with my Graph'It Markers, dabbing the colours on here and there and then gave them a light spritz of Mix'It spray to blend the colours. I used the same technique to create the polkadots around the edge of the canvas.

Here's another pic of the beautiful Octavia, you do have to be a bit careful colouring on the printable canvas, its coated with something and if you're a bit heavy handed the top layer kind of crumples so be gentle :-)

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:
Crafty Catz: Autumn
Wags'n'Whiskers: Fall colours

Autumn from Chocolate Baroque

Good morning my lovelies it feels like winter has arrived suddenly but after such lovely weather over the last few weeks my garden is still full of flowers. If this cold weather carries on I'm sure they won't last much longer but they have inspired this card which features images from Autumn Poppy one of the new stamp releases from Chocolate Baroque

I stamped the images on white card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, masking with masking tissue as I went along. I coloured the scene with Graph'It markers and stamped the sentiment in brown Archival ink.

I've used dark brown card for matting and created a background with shades of green distress inks, overstamped with one of the foliage stamps from the same set. To finish off i've added some pretty ribbon, twine and a wooden button.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Allsorts: Autumn
Eclectic Ellapu: flowers
Jellypark: autumn
Pile it on: Autumn
Stamping Sensations: autumn colours

Thanks for visiting today, hope to see you again soon

Colour Challenge at Vintage Stamping Challenges

Good morning folks, we've got a new challenge over at Vintage Stamping Challenges and this month its a colour challenge, purple, green, yellow, red and black - don't you just love those halloweeny colours?? As always you don't have to create a vintage project to join in the fun, you do have to include stamping though - no digis allowed. Our lucky winner will receive a fab prize of a $20 voucher from Flonzcraft so don't miss out on your chance to win.

I've made a page for my art journal, I love halloween colours so I had a lot of messy fun with my distress inks and some gorgeous Flonzcraft stamps. I don't know about you but I'm a terrible worrier so I've made this page to remind me not to worry about other people's stuff, I've got enough of my own lol. Anyway, I've used Seedless Preserves, Shabby Shutters, Black Soot and Spiced Marmalade distress inks. I began by dabbing the inkpads on my gelli plate, overlapping them here and there and then took a couple of prints, this was the first print so the colours are really strong. I added some stencilling and then stamped the circles using a Stampendous stap.

I've used lots of little characters from the Vintage Circus Elephant and Seal Set (you can find it here), some were stamped in black archival ink and some with versamark and embossed with white EP. The text was stamped with the Flonzcraft Fonterey Alphabet apart from the word circus which is from the vintage circus set.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
ABC Challenge: u is for unique
Corrosive Challenges: halloween colours
CRAFT: embossing
Crafty Catz: all sentimental
Hiding in my craft room: halloween colours

By the silvery moon at Craft a Scene

Hello, I'm back again, this time with my DT project for our new challenge at Craft a Scene where our theme for October is 'By the silvery moon'

I'd found some huge card blanks in my craft room so I've decided to cut them down to a more manageable size and use them up as they have a lovely decorative edge. I began by masking the moon and inking in the sky using Clarity Stencil brushes and distress inks in Stormy Sky, Chipped Sapphire and Black soot. I then stamped the scene at the bottom using Black Archival ink and used a yellow Graph'It marker to add some colour to the windows.

I used silver PanPastel on the moon, although it doesn't show up too well in the pic. I stamped in the verse and Santa and his sleigh using Black Archival ink and used a White graph'It shake pen to add the snowflakes. All the stamp used are from Inkylicious.

I matted the two images on white card and then black card and added some black ribbon and a silver bells charm to finish off.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Christmas Stampin all year long: lots of snowflakes
Holly Jolly Christmas: Anything Christmas goes
Incy Wincy: something old/something new (old card blanks, new stamps)
Tando Creative: cold as ice

Thanks for visiting today, hope to see you again soon

Autumn at PanPastel UK

Good morning folks, its a busy blogging day for me today, here's my project for our brand new challenge over at PanPastel UK, where our theme is 'Autumn'. As always there's a fab prize of a mask and a PanPastel for our lucky winner thanks to our generous sponsors over at Premium Craft Brands

I've altered a Maltesers box for my DT project. I began by painting the box with black acrylic paint and once that was dry I applied Maimeri Iridescent Paste through a Dutch doobadoo Burlap stencil. I let that dry and then applies some of the fab new Coarse Black PanPastel medium and then Rich gold and copper metallic PanPastels. I sealed the box with Maimeri Glossy Gel medium.

I've filled the box with paper flowers and leaves made using sizzix dies and of course coloured with my PanPastels, you can't see too well on the pic but I've used the gorgeous new pearl PanPastels on the flowers and they have a really pretty shimmer in real life. I've added berries and raffia from my stash to fill in the gaps.

On the top of the box I've used stamps from the Premium Craft Brands A5 Postcard stamp set, stamped with Versamark and then applied Burnt Sienna Shade Panpastel. The butterfly was stamped with versamark and embossed with copper EP, I applied double sided adhesive sheet to the back and then applied orange and green pearl PanPasstels.

Anything goes at Fashionable Stamping challenges

Hello folks, the last two weeks have whizzed past in the blink of an eye and its time for a new challenge at Fashionable Stamping challenges already! This time around our theme is 'Anything goes' although we are a stamping challenge so we do want to see stamping as the main focus of your project. As always there's a fab prize of a $20 voucher from our regular sponsor Flonzcraft up for grabs so I hope you're going to ink up those stamps and play along.

My card was inspired by my lovely Chocolate Baroque teamie Judith (pop over to her blog here to check out her beautiful artwork) who had been playing with inks and her gelli plate. I can never resist a new technique so I got out my Memento Inks, dusted off my gelli plate and brayer and got to work. I used shades of green ink initially, brayered the ink on for even coverage. I then created some texture with a sheet of crumpled copier paper. I stamped the leaves (from Heartfelt Creations) using Memento Inks in Rhubarb Stalk, Tangelo, Canteloupe,, Rich Cocoa and Bamboo Leaves and then took a print. I trimmed the paper and inked the edges with more Bamboo Leaves memento ink and matted it on kraft and then dark brown cardstock. The sentiment is also from Heartfelt Creations,, stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa, to finish off i've added seam binding, string, a button and a twine bow.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Allsorts: autumn
Crafting by Design: anything goes
Kitty Bee Designs: fall colours
That's Crafty : Keep it simple
If you've got time, do check out all the gorgeous projects from my lovely talented DT sisters.
Thanks so much for popping by today
